1 S a për kohët dhe për stinët, vëllezër, nuk keni nevojë që t’ju shkruaj,

¶ But of the times and the seasons, brethren, ye have no need that I write unto you.

2 s epse ju vetë e dini shumë mirë se dita e Zotit do të vijë, si një vjedhës natën.

For ye know well that the day of the Lord shall come as a thief in the night.

3 S epse, kur thonë: "Paqe dhe siguri," atëherë një shkatërrim i papritur do të bjerë mbi ta, ashtu si dhembjet e lindjes të gruas shtatzënë dhe nuk do të shpëtojnë.

For when they shall say, Peace and safety; then sudden destruction shall come upon them, as travail upon a woman with child; and they shall not escape.

4 P or ju, vëllezër, nuk jeni në errësirë, që ajo ditë t’ju zërë në befasi si një vjedhës.

But ye, brethren, are not in darkness, that that day should take you as a thief.

5 T ë gjithë ju jeni bij të dritës dhe bij të ditës; ne nuk jemi të natës, as të territ.

Ye are all the sons of light, and the sons of the day; we are not of the night, nor of darkness.

6 L e të mos flemë, pra, si të tjerët, por të rrimë zgjuar dhe të jemi të esëll.

¶ Therefore let us not sleep, as do others; but let us watch and be sober.

7 S epse ata që flejnë, flejnë natën, dhe ata që dehen, dehen natën.

For those that sleep in the night, and those that are drunken are drunken in the night.

8 K urse ne, mbasi jemi të ditës, jemi të esëll, duke veshur parzmoren e besimit dhe të dashurisë, dhe për përkrenare shpresën e shpëtimit.

But let us, who are of the day, be sober, putting on the breastplate of faith and charity, and for a helmet, the hope of saving health.

9 S epse Perëndia nuk na ka caktuar për zemërim, por për të marrë shpëtimin me anë të Zotit tonë Jezu Krisht,

For God has not appointed us to wrath, but to obtain saving health by our Lord Jesus Christ,

10 i cili vdiq për ne kështu që, qofshim zgjuar qofshim fjetur, jetojmë bashkë me të.

who died for us, that whether we watch or sleep, we should live together with him.

11 P randaj ngushëlloni njeri tjetrin dhe ndërtoni njeri tjetrin ashtu sikur edhe bëni.

¶ Therefore comfort and edify one another, even as ye do.

12 T ashmë, vëllezër, ju lutemi të keni respekt për ata që mundohen midis jush, që janë në krye ndër ju në Zotin dhe që ju qortojnë,

And we beseech you, brethren, to recognize those who labour among you and preside over you in the Lord and admonish you

13 e dhe t’i vlerësoni shumë në dashuri për veprën e tyre. Jetoni në paqe midis jush.

and that you express greater charity unto them for their work’s sake. And be at peace among yourselves.

14 T ani, vëllezër, ju bëjmë thirrje t’i qortoni të parregulltit, të ngushëlloni zemërlëshuarit, të ndihmoni të dobëtit dhe të jeni të duruar me të gjithë.

We also exhort you, brethren, that you warn those that are unruly, comfort the fainthearted, support the weak, be patient with everyone.

15 V ështroni se mos dikush t’ia kthejë dikujt të keqen me të keqen; po kërkoni gjithmonë të mirën edhe te njeri tjetri edhe te të gjithë.

See that no one renders evil for evil unto anyone, but always follow that which is good, both among yourselves and to all men.

16 J ini gjithmonë të gëzuar.

¶ Always rejoice.

17 L utuni pa pushim.

Pray without ceasing.

18 P ër çdo gjë falënderoni sepse i tillë është vullneti i Perëndisë në Krishtin Jezus për ju.

In every thing give thanks, for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus concerning you.

19 M os e shuani Frymën.

Quench not the Spirit.

20 M os i përbuzni profecitë.

Despise not prophecies.

21 P rovoni të gjitha, mbani të mirën.

Examine all things; retain that which is good.

22 H iqni dorë nga çdo dukje e ligë.

Separate yourselves from all appearance of evil.

23 D he Perëndia i paqes ju shenjtëroftë ai vetë tërësisht; dhe gjithë fryma juaj, shpirt e trup, të ruhet pa të metë për ardhjen e Zotit tonë Jezu Krisht.

¶ And the very God of peace sanctify you completely, that your spirit, soul, and body be preserved whole without reprehension for the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ.

24 B esnik është ai që ju thërret, i cili edhe do ta bëjë.

Faithful is he that has called you, who will also do it.

25 V ëllezër, lutuni për ne.

Brethren, pray for us.

26 P ërshëndetni të gjithë vëllezërit me puthje të shenjtë.

Greet all the brethren with a holy kiss.

27 J u përbetoj për Zotin që kjo letër t’u lexohet gjithë vëllezërve të shenjtë.

I charge you by the Lord that this epistle be read unto all the holy brethren.

28 H iri i Zotit tonë Jezu Krisht qoftë me ju. Amen.

The grace of our Lord Jesus Christ be with you. Amen.
