1 P erëndia njihet mirë në Judë, emri i tij është i madh në Izrael.

¶ In Judah is God known; his name is great in Israel.

2 T abernakulli i tij është në Salem dhe ai banon në Sion.

In Salem also is his tabernacle and his dwelling place in Zion.

3 K ëtu ai ka copëtuar shigjetat e zjarrta të harkut, mburojën dhe shpatën e luftës. (Sela)

There he broke the arrows of the bow, the shield, and the sword, and the war. Selah.

4 T i dukesh i lavdishëm dhe i fuqishëm mbi malet e presë.

Thou art more glorious and excellent than the mountains of prey.

5 T rimat i kanë zhveshur, i ka zënë gjumi, dhe asnjë prej atyre trimave nuk ka mundur të përdorë duart e tij.

The stouthearted are spoiled; they have slept their sleep; and nothing was found in the hands of the men of might.

6 M bas qortimit tënd, o Perëndia i Jakobit, qerret dhe kuajt mbetën të shushatur.

At thy rebuke, O God of Jacob, both the chariot and horse are cast into a dead sleep.

7 N ga ti, pikërisht nga ti, duhet të kenë frikë; dhe kush mund të rezistojë para teje kur zemërohesh?

¶ Thou, even thou, art to be feared, and who may stand in thy sight when once thou art angry?

8 T i ke bërë që të dëgjohet nga qielli vendimi yt, tokën e zuri frika dhe heshti,

From the heavens thou didst cause judgment to be heard; the earth feared and was still,

9 k ur Perëndia u ngrit për të gjykuar, për të çliruar tërë nevojtarët e tokës. (Sela)

when thou didst arise unto judgment, O God, to save all the meek of the earth. Selah.

10 E dhe zemërimi i njerëzve do të shndrrohet në lavdi për ty, dhe ti do të rrethohesh me vetë mbeturinat e zemërimi të tyre.

Surely the wrath of man shall cause praise to come unto thee; the remainder of wrath shalt thou restrain.

11 B ëjini zotime Zotit, Perëndisë tuaj, dhe plotësojini; tërë ata që rinë rreth tij t’i çojnë dhurata të Tmerrshmit.

Vow and pay unto the LORD your God; let all that be round about him bring presents unto him that ought to be feared.

12 A i u heq frymën qeveritarëve, nga ai druhen mbretërit e tokës.

He shall cut off the spirit of princes; he is terrible to the kings of the earth.
