1 ¶ In Judah is God known; his name is great in Israel.

Dumnezeu este cunoscut în Iuda; mare este Numele Lui în Israel!

2 I n Salem also is his tabernacle and his dwelling place in Zion.

Pe când Cortul Îi este în Salem, Locuinţa Lui se află în Sion.

3 T here he broke the arrows of the bow, the shield, and the sword, and the war. Selah.

Acolo a sfărâmat săgeţile arcului, scutul şi sabia de război. Sela

4 T hou art more glorious and excellent than the mountains of prey.

Eşti mai măreţ, mai minunat eşti Tu decât munţii încărcaţi de vânat.

5 T he stouthearted are spoiled; they have slept their sleep; and nothing was found in the hands of the men of might.

Prădaţi au fost vitejii: au fost cuprinşi de un somn adânc; nici unul dintre luptători n-a mai avut putere în mâini.

6 A t thy rebuke, O God of Jacob, both the chariot and horse are cast into a dead sleep.

Dumnezeu al lui Iacov, la mustrarea Ta, călăreţul şi calul au adormit deopotrivă!

7 ¶ Thou, even thou, art to be feared, and who may stand in thy sight when once thou art angry?

Tu eşti atât de înfricoşător! Cine poate sta înaintea Ta când eşti mânios?

8 F rom the heavens thou didst cause judgment to be heard; the earth feared and was still,

Când ai rostit sentinţa din ceruri, pământul s-a temut şi a amuţit.

9 w hen thou didst arise unto judgment, O God, to save all the meek of the earth. Selah.

Da, aşa a fost, când Te-ai ridicat să judeci, Dumnezeule, şi să aduci izbăvire tuturor necăjiţilor pământului. Sela

10 S urely the wrath of man shall cause praise to come unto thee; the remainder of wrath shalt thou restrain.

Într-adevăr, mânia Ta împotriva omului lucrează spre lauda Ta, iar pe supravieţuitorii mâniei Tale îi îngrădeşti.

11 V ow and pay unto the LORD your God; let all that be round about him bring presents unto him that ought to be feared.

Faceţi jurăminte Domnului, Dumnezeul vostru, şi împliniţi-le! Voi toţi cei din preajma Lui, aduceţi daruri Celui de temut!

12 H e shall cut off the spirit of princes; he is terrible to the kings of the earth.

El taie avântul conducătorilor şi seamănă groază printre regii pământului.
