1 ¶ Ho, every one that thirsts, come ye to the waters, and he that has no money; come ye, buy, and eat; come, buy wine and milk without money and without price.

Voi toţi cei care sunteţi însetaţi, veniţi la ape! Voi care n-aveţi argint, veniţi, cumpăraţi şi mâncaţi! Veniţi, cumpăraţi vin şi lapte fără argint şi fără plată!

2 W hy do ye spend money for that which is not bread? and your labour for that which does not satisfy? Hearken diligently unto me, and eat ye that which is good, and let your soul delight itself in fatness.

De ce vă cheltuiţi argintul pe ceea ce nu este pâine şi truda pe ceea ce nu satură? Ascultaţi-Mă cu atenţie şi mâncaţi ce este bun, desfătaţi-vă sufletul cu mâncare gustoasă!

3 I ncline your ear, and come unto me: hear, and your soul shall live; and I will make an eternal covenant with you, even the sure mercies of David.

Luaţi aminte şi veniţi la Mine! Ascultaţi şi sufletul vostru va trăi! Voi încheia cu voi un legământ veşnic şi astfel îndurările faţă de David vor fi întărite.

4 B ehold, I have given him for a witness to the peoples, a captain and teacher to the peoples.

Iată, l-am făcut un martor înaintea popoarelor, un conducător şi un stăpânitor pentru popoare.

5 B ehold, thou shalt call a people that thou knowest not, and Gentiles that did not know thee shall run unto thee because of the LORD thy God and for the Holy One of Israel, for he has honoured thee.

Iată, vei aduna neamuri pe care nu le cunoşti şi neamuri care nu te cunosc vor alerga la tine, din pricina Domnului, Dumnezeul tău, a Sfântului lui Israel, căci El te-a împodobit cu glorie.»

6 ¶ Seek the LORD while he may be found; call upon him while he is near:

Căutaţi pe Domnul cât timp mai poate fi găsit! Chemaţi-L cât timp mai este aproape!

7 L et the wicked forsake his way, and the unrighteous man his thoughts: and let him return unto the LORD, and he will have mercy upon him; and to our God, for he will abundantly pardon.

Nelegiuitul să-şi părăsească calea, iar omul rău să renunţe la gândurile lui! Să se întoarcă la Domnul, Care îi va arăta îndurare, la Dumnezeul nostru, Care îl va ierta pe deplin.

8 F or my thoughts are not as your thoughts, neither are your ways as my ways, saith the LORD.

«Căci gândurile Mele nu sunt gândurile voastre, iar căile voastre nu sunt căile Mele, zice Domnul.

9 F or as the heavens are higher than the earth, so are my ways higher than your ways, and my thoughts more than your thoughts.

Pentru că, aşa cum sunt de sus cerurile faţă de pământ, tot aşa sunt de sus căile Mele faţă de căile voastre şi gândurile Mele faţă de gândurile voastre.

10 F or as the rain comes down, and the snow from the heavens, and does not return there, but waters the earth and makes it bring forth and bud, that it may give seed to the sower and bread to the eater:

Căci, aşa cum ploaia şi zăpada coboară din ceruri şi nu se întorc înapoi până nu udă pământul, făcându-l să rodească şi să încolţească, dând sămânţă semănătorului şi pâine celui ce mănâncă,

11 S o shall my Word be that goes forth out of my mouth: it shall not return unto me void, but it shall accomplish that which I please, and it shall be prospered in that for which I sent it.

tot aşa este şi cu al Meu Cuvânt, care iese din gura Mea: nu se va întoarce la Mine fără rod, ci Îmi va împlini dorinţa şi va reuşi în lucrul pentru care L-am trimis.

12 F or ye shall go out with joy, and be returned with peace: the mountains and the hills shall break forth before you into singing, and all the trees of the field shall clap their hands.

Veţi ieşi cu bucurie şi veţi fi călăuziţi în pace; munţii şi dealurile vor izbucni în strigăte de bucurie înaintea voastră şi toţi copacii câmpiei vor bate din palme.

13 I nstead of the thorn shall come up the fir tree, and instead of the brier shall come up the myrtle tree: and it shall be to the LORD for a name, for an eternal sign that shall not be cut off.

În locul mărăcinilor va creşte chiparosul şi în locul ciulinului va creşte mirtul, iar aceasta va fi o faimă pentru Domnul, un semn veşnic, nepieritor.»“
