V-o recomand pe Fivi, sora noastră, diaconiţă a bisericii din Chencrea.

2 t hat ye receive her in the Lord as a worthy saint, and that ye assist her in whatever thing in which she has need of you, for she has been a helper of many and of myself also.

Vă rog s-o primiţi, în Domnul, într-un mod vrednic de nişte sfinţi, şi s-o ajutaţi în orice vă va cere, pentru că ea a fost un ajutor pentru mulţi, precum şi pentru mine însumi.

13 S alute Rufus, chosen in the Lord, and his mother and mine.

14 S alute Asyncritus, Phlegon, Hermas, Patrobas, Hermes, and the brethren who are with them.

15 S alute Philologus and Julia, Nereus and his sister, and Olympas, and all the saints who are with them.

17 ¶ And I beseech you, brethren, mark those who cause dissensions and offences outside of the doctrine which ye have learned, and avoid them.

Vă îndemn, fraţilor, să fiţi atenţi la cei ce provoacă dezbinări şi pun obstacole împotriva învăţăturii pe care aţi primit-o! Depărtaţi-vă de ei,

18 F or they that are such do not serve our Lord Jesus Christ, but their own belly and by smooth words and blessings deceive the hearts of the simple.

pentru că astfel de oameni nu-L slujesc pe Domnul nostru Cristos, ci îşi slujesc propriile lor pofte. Printr-un limbaj plăcut şi prin linguşire, ei înşală inimile celor naivi!

19 F or your obedience is come abroad unto all places. I am glad therefore on your behalf, but yet I would have you wise unto that which is good and innocent concerning evil.

Ascultarea voastră este cunoscută de toţi, aşa că sunt plin de bucurie pentru voi. Însă vreau să fiţi înţelepţi cu privire la ceea ce este bun şi curaţi cu privire la ceea ce este rău.

20 A nd let the God of peace bruise Satan under your feet quickly. The grace of our Lord Jesus Christ be with you. Amen.

Dumnezeul păcii îl va zdrobi în curând pe Satan sub picioarele voastre. Harul Domnului nostru Isus Cristos să fie cu voi!

26 b ut now is made manifest, and by the writings of the prophets, by the commandment of God eternal, declared unto all the Gentiles, that they might hear and obey by faith,

dar care acum este descoperită prin scrierile profetice şi le este făcută cunoscută tuturor neamurilor, după porunca Dumnezeului Veşnic, pentru ca ele să creadă şi să asculte de El,

27 t o God, only wise, be glory through Jesus Christ for ever. Amen.

a singurului Dumnezeu înţelept să fie slava, prin Isus Cristos, în veci! Amin.
