1 ¶ For Zion’s sake I will not hold my peace; and for Jerusalem’s sake I will not rest until her righteousness goes forth as brightness and her saving health is lit as a flaming torch.

De dragul Sionului nu voi tăcea, de dragul Ierusalimului nu voi rămâne tăcut, până când dreptatea lui nu va răsări ca zorile şi mântuirea lui nu va arde ca o torţă.

2 A nd the Gentiles shall see thy righteousness and all the kings thy glory; and thou shalt be given a new name, which the mouth of the LORD shall name.

Neamurile vor vedea dreptatea ta şi toţi împăraţii vor privi slava ta; ţi se va da un nume nou, unul pe care-l va hotărî gura Domnului.

3 T hou shalt also be a crown of glory in the hand of the LORD and a royal diadem in the hand of thy God.

Vei fi o coroană minunată în mâna Domnului şi o cunună regală în palma Dumnezeului tău.

4 T hou shalt no longer be termed Forsaken; neither shall thy land any longer be termed Desolate; but thou shalt be called Hephzibah and thy land Beulah; for the will of the LORD shall be in thee, and thy land shall be married.

Nu te vor mai chema «Cea părăsită», iar ţara ta n-o vor mai numi «Pustie», ci te vor chema «Plăcerea Mea este în ea», iar ţara ta o vor numi «Măritată», pentru că Domnul Îşi va găsi plăcerea în tine, iar ţara ta va fi măritată.

5 F or as a young man marries a virgin, so shall thy sons marry thee; and as the bridegroom rejoices with the bride, so shall thy God rejoice with thee.

Aşa cum un tânăr se căsătoreşte cu o fecioară, tot aşa fiii tăi se vor căsători cu tine; aşa cum un mire se bucură de mireasa lui, tot aşa se va bucura Dumnezeul tău de tine.

6 ¶ I have set watchmen upon thy walls, O Jerusalem, which shall never hold their peace day nor night; ye that make mention of the LORD, do not keep silent

Pe zidurile tale, Ierusalime, am pus străjeri. Ei nu vor tăcea niciodată, nici zi, nici noapte! Voi, care-I aduceţi aminte Domnului, nu vă odihniţi

7 a nd give him no rest, until he establishes and until he makes Jerusalem a praise in the earth.

şi nu-I daţi pace până nu restaurează Ierusalimul şi până nu-l face o laudă pe pământ!

8 T he LORD has sworn by his right hand, and by the arm of his strength, Surely I will no longer give thy wheat to be food for thine enemies; and the sons of the stranger shall not drink thy wine, for which thou hast laboured:

Domnul a jurat cu mâna Sa dreaptă, cu braţul Său puternic: «Nu voi mai da grânele tale drept hrană duşmanilor tăi, iar străinii nu vor mai bea vinul nou pentru care tu ai trudit,

9 B ut those that have gathered it shall eat it and praise the LORD; and those that have brought it together shall drink it in the courts of my holiness.

ci cei ce adună grânele le vor şi mânca şi-L vor lăuda pe Domnul, iar cei ce adună strugurii vor bea vinul în curţile Sfântului Meu Lăcaş.»“

10 ¶ Go through, go through the gates; prepare ye the way of the people; clear up, clear up the highway; gather out the stones; lift up a banner as an example for the people.

„Intraţi! Intraţi pe porţi! Pregătiţi calea pentru popor! Construiţi! Construiţi drumul larg! Îndepărtaţi pietrele! Ridicaţi un steag pentru popoare!

11 B ehold, the LORD has caused it to be heard unto the end of the earth; Say unto the daughter of Zion, Behold, thy Saviour comes; behold that his reward is with him, and his work before him.

Iată că Domnul a vestit până la capătul pământului: «Spuneţi fiicei Sionului: ‘Iată, Mântuitorul tău vine la tine! Iată, plata Lui este cu El şi răsplata Lui merge înaintea Lui!’»

12 A nd they shall call them, The holy people, The redeemed of the LORD; and thou shalt be called, Sought out, A city not forsaken.

Ei vor fi numiţi: «Poporul sfânt», «Răscumpăraţi ai domnului », iar tu vei fi numită: «Cea căutată» «Cetatea care nu va mai fi părăsită».“
