1 ¶ Preserve me, O God: for in thee I have put my trust.

Păzeşte-mă, Dumnezeule, căci la Tine caut adăpost!

2 I said unto the LORD, Thou art my goodness: I have no goodness apart from thee;

Eu zic Domnului: „Tu eşti Stăpânul meu; nu am nimic bun decât pe Tine!“

3 t o the saints that are in the earth and to the excellent: all my delight is towards them.

Sfinţii care sunt în ţară, ei sunt cei măreţi în care-mi găsesc toată plăcerea.

4 T he sorrows of those that hasten after another god shall be multiplied; their drink offerings of blood I will not offer, nor take up their names into my lips.

Durerile celor ce aleargă după idoli se înmulţesc; eu însă nu aduc ca ei jertfe de băutură din sânge şi nici nu pun numele idolilor lor pe buzele mele.

5 T he LORD is the portion of my inheritance and of my cup; thou dost maintain my lot.

Doamne, Tu eşti partea mea de moştenire şi cupa mea! Tu eşti Cel Care îmi apuci sorţul!

6 T he lines are fallen unto me in pleasant places; yea, I have a beautiful inheritance.

Plăcute moşii mi-au căzut la sorţi! Într-adevăr, frumoasă moştenire mi-a fost dată!

7 I will bless the LORD, who gives me counsel: my kidneys also instruct me in the night seasons.

Îl voi binecuvânta pe Domnul Care mă sfătuieşte! Până şi noaptea îmi dă îndemnuri inima!

8 ¶ I have set the LORD always before me: because when he is at my right hand, I shall not be moved.

Îl pun pe Domnul neîncetat înaintea mea, căci El este la dreapta mea ca să nu mă clatin!

9 T herefore my heart is glad, and my glory rejoices: my flesh also shall rest secure.

De aceea, mi se bucură inima şi mi se înveseleşte sufletul! Mai mult, trupul meu va locui în siguranţă,

10 F or thou wilt not leave my soul in Sheol; neither wilt thou suffer thy Merciful One to see corruption.

căci nu-mi vei lăsa sufletul în Locuinţa Morţilor şi nu vei îngădui ca sfântul Tău să vadă putrezirea.

11 T hou wilt show me the path of life: in thy presence is fullness of joy; in thy right hand there are pleasures for evermore.

Mi-ai făcut cunoscută cărarea vieţii … În prezenţa Ta este belşug de bucurie, la dreapta Ta sunt desfătări veşnice!
