1 ¶ The LORD said unto my Lord, Sit thou at my right hand until I make thine enemies thy footstool.

Domnul i-a zis Stăpânului meu: „Şezi la dreapta Mea, până voi face din duşmanii Tăi aşternut al picioarelor Tale!

2 T he LORD shall send the rod of thy strength out of Zion; rule thou in the midst of thine enemies.

Domnul va întinde toiagul puterii Tale din Sion. Stăpâneşte în mijlocul duşmanilor Tăi!

3 T hy people shall be willing in the day of thy power, in the beauty of holiness; as the dew which falls from the womb of the morning, thus shall those who are thine be born unto thee.

Poporul Tău este dornic de luptă, când se adună oştirea Ta. Cu podoabe sfinte din tainiţa zorilor vei primi roua tineretului Tău. “

4 T he LORD has sworn and will not repent, Thou art a priest for ever after the order of Melchizedek.

Domnul a jurat şi nu-I va părea rău: „Tu eşti preot în veci potrivit rânduielii lui Melhisedek.

5 ¶ The Lord at thy right hand shall smite the kings in the day of his wrath.

Stăpânul este la dreapta Ta. El va zdrobi regi în ziua mâniei Sale.

6 H e shall judge among the Gentiles; he shall fill their places with dead bodies; he shall wound the head over much of the earth.

El va judeca neamurile, va umple pământul de leşuri şi va zdrobi căpeteniile întregului pământ.

7 H e shall drink of the brook in the way; therefore he shall lift up his head.

El va bea dintr-un pârâu de lângă drum; de aceea Îşi va înălţa fruntea.“
