1 ¶ For Zion’s sake I will not hold my peace; and for Jerusalem’s sake I will not rest until her righteousness goes forth as brightness and her saving health is lit as a flaming torch.

Por amor de Sión no callaré y por amor de Jerusalén no descansaré, hasta que salga como un resplandor su justicia y su salvación se encienda como una antorcha.

2 A nd the Gentiles shall see thy righteousness and all the kings thy glory; and thou shalt be given a new name, which the mouth of the LORD shall name.

Entonces verán las naciones tu justicia y todos los reyes tu gloria; y te será puesto un nombre nuevo, que la boca de Jehová te pondrá.

3 T hou shalt also be a crown of glory in the hand of the LORD and a royal diadem in the hand of thy God.

Y serás corona de gloria en la mano de Jehová y diadema de realeza en la mano del Dios tuyo.

4 T hou shalt no longer be termed Forsaken; neither shall thy land any longer be termed Desolate; but thou shalt be called Hephzibah and thy land Beulah; for the will of the LORD shall be in thee, and thy land shall be married.

Nunca más te llamarán “Desamparada”, ni tu tierra se dirá más “Desolada”; sino que serás llamada Hefzi-bá, y tu tierra, Beula; porque el amor de Jehová estará contigo y tu tierra será desposada.

5 F or as a young man marries a virgin, so shall thy sons marry thee; and as the bridegroom rejoices with the bride, so shall thy God rejoice with thee.

Pues como el joven se desposa con la virgen, así se desposarán contigo tus hijos; y como el gozo del esposo con la esposa, así se gozará contigo el Dios tuyo.

6 ¶ I have set watchmen upon thy walls, O Jerusalem, which shall never hold their peace day nor night; ye that make mention of the LORD, do not keep silent

Sobre tus muros, Jerusalén, he puesto guardas que no callarán ni de día ni de noche. ¡Los que os acordáis de Jehová, no descanséis

7 a nd give him no rest, until he establishes and until he makes Jerusalem a praise in the earth.

ni le deis tregua, hasta que restablezca a Jerusalén y la ponga por alabanza en la tierra!

8 T he LORD has sworn by his right hand, and by the arm of his strength, Surely I will no longer give thy wheat to be food for thine enemies; and the sons of the stranger shall not drink thy wine, for which thou hast laboured:

Juró Jehová por su mano derecha y por su poderoso brazo: «Jamás daré tu trigo por comida a tus enemigos, ni beberán los extraños el vino que es fruto de tu trabajo;

9 B ut those that have gathered it shall eat it and praise the LORD; and those that have brought it together shall drink it in the courts of my holiness.

sino que quienes lo cosechan lo comerán y alabarán a Jehová; y quienes lo vendimian lo beberán en los atrios de mi santuario.»

10 ¶ Go through, go through the gates; prepare ye the way of the people; clear up, clear up the highway; gather out the stones; lift up a banner as an example for the people.

¡Pasad, pasad por las puertas; barred el camino al pueblo; allanad, allanad la calzada, quitad las piedras, alzad pendón ante los pueblos!

11 B ehold, the LORD has caused it to be heard unto the end of the earth; Say unto the daughter of Zion, Behold, thy Saviour comes; behold that his reward is with him, and his work before him.

He aquí, Jehová lo hizo oír hasta lo último de la tierra: «Decid a la hija de Sión que ya viene su Salvador; he aquí su recompensa con él y delante de él su obra.»

12 A nd they shall call them, The holy people, The redeemed of the LORD; and thou shalt be called, Sought out, A city not forsaken.

Y los llamarán Pueblo Santo, Redimidos de Jehová. Y a ti te llamarán Ciudad Deseada, No desamparada.
