1 ¶ Let brotherly love continue.

Permanezca el amor fraternal.

2 D o not forget to show hospitality; for thereby some, having entertained angels, were kept.

No os olvidéis de la hospitalidad, porque por ella algunos, sin saberlo, hospedaron ángeles.

3 R emember those that are in bonds as bound with them and those who suffer adversity as being yourselves also in the body.

Acordaos de los presos, como si estuvierais presos juntamente con ellos; y de los maltratados, como si vosotros estuvierais en su mismo cuerpo.

4 L et marriage be honourable in all and the bed undefiled; but the fornicators and adulterers God will judge.

Honroso sea en todos el matrimonio y el lecho sin mancilla; pero a los fornicarios y a los adúlteros los juzgará Dios.

5 L et your conversation be without covetousness, and be content with such things as ye have; for he has said, I will never leave thee, nor forsake thee.

Sean vuestras costumbres sin avaricia, contentos con lo que tenéis ahora, pues él dijo: «No te desampararé ni te dejaré.»

6 S o that we may boldly say, The Lord is my helper, and I will not fear what man shall do unto me.

Así que podemos decir confiadamente: «El Señor es mi ayudador; no temeré lo que me pueda hacer el hombre.»

7 R emember your pastors, who have spoken unto you the word of God, whose faith follow, considering the end of their conversation:

Acordaos de vuestros pastores, que os hablaron la palabra de Dios; considerad cuál haya sido el resultado de su conducta e imitad su fe.

8 J esus Christ the same yesterday and today and for the ages.

Jesucristo es el mismo ayer, hoy y por los siglos.

9 B e not taken out of the way with diverse and strange doctrines. For it is a good thing that the heart be established with grace, not with foods which have not profited those that have been occupied with them.

No os dejéis llevar de doctrinas diversas y extrañas. Es mejor afirmar el corazón con la gracia, no con alimentos que nunca aprovecharon a los que se han ocupado de ellos.

10 W e have an altar, of which those who serve the tabernacle have no faculty to eat.

Tenemos un altar, del cual no tienen derecho de comer los que sirven al Tabernáculo,

11 F or the bodies of those animals, whose blood is brought into the sanctuary by the high priest for sin, are burned outside the camp.

porque los cuerpos de aquellos animales cuya sangre a causa del pecado es introducida en el santuario por el sumo sacerdote, son quemados fuera del campamento.

12 T herefore, Jesus also, that he might sanctify the people with his own blood, suffered outside the gate.

Por lo cual también Jesús, para santificar al pueblo mediante su propia sangre, padeció fuera de la puerta.

13 L et us go forth, therefore, unto him outside the camp, bearing his reproach.

Salgamos, pues, a él, fuera del campamento, llevando su oprobio,

14 F or here we have no continuing city, but we seek the one that is coming.

porque no tenemos aquí ciudad permanente, sino que buscamos la por venir.

15 B y him therefore let us offer the sacrifice of praise to God continually, that is, the fruit of our lips confessing his name.

Así que, ofrezcamos siempre a Dios, por medio de él, sacrificio de alabanza, es decir, fruto de labios que confiesan su nombre.

16 D o not forget to do good and to fellowship; for with such sacrifices God is well pleased.

Y de hacer el bien y de la ayuda mutua no os olvidéis, porque de tales sacrificios se agrada Dios.

17 L isten to your pastors, and do not resist them, for they watch for your souls as those that must give account, that they may do it with joy, and not with grief; for that is unprofitable for you.

Obedeced a vuestros pastores y sujetaos a ellos, porque ellos velan por vuestras almas como quienes han de dar cuenta, para que lo hagan con alegría, sin quejarse, porque esto no os es provechoso.

18 ¶ Pray for us: for we trust we have a good conscience in all things desiring to conduct ourselves well.

Orad por nosotros, pues confiamos en que tenemos buena conciencia, ya que deseamos conducirnos bien en todo.

19 A nd I beseech you all the more to do this, that I may be restored unto you sooner.

Y más os ruego que lo hagáis así, para que pueda volver a estar pronto con vosotros. Bendición

20 N ow the God of peace, that brought again from the dead our Lord Jesus, that great shepherd of the sheep, through the blood of the eternal testament,

Que el Dios de paz, que resucitó de los muertos a nuestro Señor Jesucristo, el gran pastor de las ovejas, por la sangre del pacto eterno,

21 m ake you perfect in every good work to do his will, working in you that which is wellpleasing in his sight, through Jesus Christ, to whom be glory for the ages of the ages. Amen.

os haga aptos en toda obra buena para que hagáis su voluntad, haciendo él en vosotros lo que es agradable delante de él por Jesucristo; al cual sea la gloria por los siglos de los siglos. Amén. Salutaciones finales

22 A nd I beseech you, brethren, that ye receive this word of exhortation, that I have written unto you briefly.

Os ruego, hermanos, que soportéis la palabra de exhortación, pues os he escrito brevemente.

23 K now ye that our brother Timothy is set at liberty; with whom, if he comes shortly, I will see you.

Sabed que está en libertad nuestro hermano Timoteo, con el cual, si viene pronto, iré a veros.

24 S alute all thy pastors and all the saints. The brethren of Italy salute you.

Saludad a todos vuestros pastores y a todos los santos. Los de Italia os saludan.

25 G race be with you all. Amen.
