1 ¶ Blessed is he that understands regarding the poor; the LORD will deliver him in the day of evil.

Bienaventurado el que piensa en el pobre; en el día malo lo librará Jehová.

2 T he LORD will preserve him and keep him alive, and he shall be blessed upon the earth, and thou wilt not deliver him unto the will of his enemies.

Jehová lo guardará, le dará vida y será bienaventurado en la tierra. No lo entregarás a la voluntad de sus enemigos.

3 T he LORD will strengthen him upon the bed of languishing; thou wilt soften all his bed in his sickness.

Jehová lo sostendrá en el lecho del dolor; ablandará su cama en la enfermedad.

4 I said, LORD, be merciful unto me; heal my soul; for I have sinned against thee.

Yo dije: «Jehová, ten misericordia de mí, sana mi alma, porque contra ti he pecado.»

5 ¶ My enemies speak evil of me, When shall he die and his name perish?

Mis enemigos hablan mal de mí, preguntando: «¿Cuándo morirá y perecerá su nombre?»

6 A nd if he came to see me, he spoke lies: his heart gathered iniquity to itself, and when he goes out, he tells it.

Y si vienen a verme, hablan mentira; recogen malas noticias y al salir afuera las divulgan.

7 A ll that hate me congregate together and murmur against me; against me do they devise my hurt.

Reunidos murmuran contra mí todos los que me aborrecen; contra mí piensan mal, diciendo:

8 A disease of Belial, they say, cleaves fast unto him, and now that he lies he shall rise up no more.

«Cosa maligna se ha apoderado de él; el que cayó en cama no volverá a levantarse.»

9 E ven the man of my peace, in whom I trusted, who ate of my bread, has lifted up his heel against me.

Aun el hombre de mi paz, en quien yo confiaba, el que de mi pan comía, alzó el pie contra mí.

10 B ut thou, O LORD, be merciful unto me and raise me up that I may requite them.

Mas tú, Jehová, ten misericordia de mí y hazme levantar, y les daré el pago.

11 I n this I shall know that I have pleased thee, that my enemy does not triumph over me.

En esto conoceré que te he agradado: en que mi enemigo no se alegre de mí.

12 A nd as for me, thou sustained me in my integrity and hast seated me before thy face for ever.

En cuanto a mí, en mi integridad me has sustentado y me has hecho estar delante de ti para siempre.

13 B lessed be the LORD God of Israel from everlasting and to everlasting. Amen, and Amen.

¡Bendito sea Jehová, el Dios de Israel, por los siglos de los siglos! ¡Amén y amén!
