1 ¶ And the LORD said unto Noah, Enter thou and all thy house into the ark; for thee have I seen righteous before me in this generation.

Dijo luego Jehová a Noé: «Entra tú y toda tu familia en el arca, porque sólo a ti he visto justo delante de mí en esta generación.

2 O f every clean animal thou shalt take to thee seven pairs, the male and his female; but of animals that are not clean, two, the male and his female.

De todo animal limpio tomarás siete parejas, cada macho con su hembra; pero de los animales que no son limpios, una pareja, un macho con su hembra.

3 O f fowls also of the heavens by seven pairs, the male and the female; to keep seed alive upon the face of all the earth.

También de las aves de los cielos siete parejas, macho y hembra, para conservar viva la especie sobre la faz de la tierra.

4 F or yet in seven days, I will cause it to rain upon the earth forty days and forty nights; and every substance that I have made I will destroy from off the face of the earth.

Y pasados aún siete días, yo haré llover sobre la tierra cuarenta días y cuarenta noches; y borraré de la faz de la tierra a todo ser viviente que hice.»

5 ¶ And Noah did according unto all that the LORD commanded him.

E hizo Noé conforme a todo lo que le mandó Jehová.

6 A nd Noah was six hundred years old when the flood of waters was upon the earth.

Era Noé de seiscientos años cuando el diluvio de las aguas vino sobre la tierra.

7 A nd Noah went in and his sons and his wife and his sons’ wives with him into the ark because of the waters of the flood.

Y por causa de las aguas del diluvio entró Noé en el arca, y con él sus hijos, su mujer y las mujeres de sus hijos.

8 O f clean animals and of animals that are not clean and of fowls and of every thing that moves upon the earth,

De los animales limpios, de los animales que no eran limpios, de las aves y de todo lo que se arrastra sobre la tierra,

9 t here went in two by two unto Noah into the ark, the male and the female, as God had commanded Noah.

de dos en dos, entraron con Noé en el arca; macho y hembra, como Dios mandó a Noé.

10 A nd it came to pass after seven days that the waters of the flood were upon the earth.

Al séptimo día, las aguas del diluvio vinieron sobre la tierra.

11 ¶ In the six hundredth year of Noah’s life in the second month, the seventeenth day of the month, the same day were all the fountains of the great deep broken up, and the windows of the heavens were opened.

Aquel día del año seiscientos de la vida de Noé, en el mes segundo, a los diecisiete días del mes, fueron rotas todas las fuentes del gran abismo y abiertas las cataratas de los cielos,

12 A nd there was rain upon the earth forty days and forty nights.

y hubo lluvia sobre la tierra cuarenta días y cuarenta noches.

13 ¶ In that same day Noah and Shem and Ham and Japheth, the sons of Noah, and Noah’s wife and the three wives of his sons with them entered into the ark,

Aquel mismo día entraron en el arca Noé, sus hijos Sem, Cam y Jafet, la mujer de Noé y las tres mujeres de sus hijos;

14 t hey and every animal after its kind and all the beasts after their kind and every creeping thing that moves upon the earth after its kind and every fowl after its kind, every bird, every thing with wings.

todos ellos, y todos los animales salvajes según sus especies, todos los animales domésticos según sus especies, todo reptil que se arrastra sobre la tierra según su especie, toda ave según su especie y toda clase de pájaros y seres alados.

15 A nd they went in unto Noah into the ark, two by two of all flesh in which is the spirit of life.

Entraron, pues, con Noé en el arca, de dos en dos, de todo ser en que había espíritu de vida.

16 A nd those that went in went in male and female of all flesh, as God had commanded him, and the LORD shut him in.

Los que entraron eran macho y hembra de cada especie, como le había mandado Dios; y Jehová le cerró la puerta.

17 ¶ And the flood was forty days upon the earth, and the waters multiplied and bore up the ark, and it was lifted up above the earth.

El diluvio duró cuarenta días sobre la tierra. Las aguas crecieron y alzaron el arca, que se elevó sobre la tierra.

18 A nd the waters prevailed and multiplied greatly upon the earth, and the ark went upon the face of the waters.

Las aguas siguieron subiendo y creciendo en gran manera sobre la tierra y flotaba el arca sobre la superficie de las aguas.

19 A nd the waters prevailed exceedingly upon the earth, and all the high mountains that were under all the heavens were covered.

Las aguas subieron mucho sobre la tierra; todos los montes altos que había debajo de todos los cielos quedaron cubiertos.

20 F ifteen cubits upward did the waters prevail, and the mountains were covered.

Quince codos más alto subieron las aguas después que quedaron cubiertos los montes.

21 ¶ And all flesh died that moved upon the earth, both of fowl and of beasts and of animals and of every creeping thing that creeps upon the earth and every man;

Y murieron todos los seres que se mueven sobre la tierra, así las aves como el ganado y las bestias, y todo reptil que se arrastra sobre la tierra, y todo hombre.

22 a ll in whose nostrils was the breath of the spirit of life of all that was in the dry land died.

Todo lo que tenía aliento de espíritu de vida en sus narices, todo lo que había en la tierra, murió.

23 A nd every substance was destroyed which was upon the face of the ground, both man and cattle and the animals and the fowl of the heaven; and they were destroyed from the earth, and only Noah remained alive and those that were with him in the ark.

Así fue destruido todo ser que vivía sobre la faz de la tierra, desde el hombre hasta la bestia, los reptiles y las aves del cielo; fueron borrados de la tierra. Solamente quedó Noé y los que con él estaban en el arca.

24 A nd the waters prevailed upon the earth one hundred and fifty days.

Y permanecieron las aguas ciento cincuenta días sobre la tierra.
