1 T hen Jesus, being filled with the Holy Spirit, returned from the Jordan and was led by the Spirit into the wilderness,

Plin de Duhul Sfânt, Isus S-a întors de la Iordan şi a fost dus de Duhul în pustie,

2 b eing tempted for forty days by the devil. And in those days He ate nothing, and afterward, when they had ended, He was hungry.

fiind ispitit de diavol timp de patruzeci de zile. N-a mâncat nimic în zilele acelea, iar la sfârşitul lor a flămânzit.

3 A nd the devil said to Him, “If You are the Son of God, command this stone to become bread.”

Diavolul I-a zis: – Dacă eşti Fiul lui Dumnezeu, porunceşte acestei pietre să devină pâine!

4 B ut Jesus answered him, saying, “It is written, ‘Man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word of God.’”

Însă Isus i-a răspuns: – Este scris: „Omul nu trăieşte numai cu pâine, (ci cu orice cuvânt de la Dumnezeu!) “

5 T hen the devil, taking Him up on a high mountain, showed Him all the kingdoms of the world in a moment of time.

Atunci diavolul L-a dus sus, într-un loc înalt, şi I-a arătat într-o clipă toate regatele lumii.

6 A nd the devil said to Him, “All this authority I will give You, and their glory; for this has been delivered to me, and I give it to whomever I wish.

Apoi I-a zis: – Ţie Îţi voi da autoritatea tuturor acestora şi gloria lor, căci mie mi-a fost dată, iar eu o dau cui vreau.

7 T herefore, if You will worship before me, all will be Yours.”

Deci, dacă te închini înaintea mea, toată va fi a Ta!

8 A nd Jesus answered and said to him, “Get behind Me, Satan! For it is written, ‘You shall worship the Lord your God, and Him only you shall serve.’ ”

Isus i-a răspuns: – Este scris: „Domnului, Dumnezeul tău, să I te închini şi numai Lui să-I slujeşti!“

9 T hen he brought Him to Jerusalem, set Him on the pinnacle of the temple, and said to Him, “If You are the Son of God, throw Yourself down from here.

Apoi L-a dus la Ierusalim, L-a pus să stea pe streaşina Templului şi I-a zis: – Dacă eşti Fiul lui Dumnezeu, aruncă-Te jos de aici,

10 F or it is written: ‘He shall give His angels charge over you, To keep you,’

căci este scris: „El va da porunci îngerilor Săi cu privire la Tine, ca să Te păzească!“

11 a nd, ‘In their hands they shall bear you up, Lest you dash your foot against a stone.’ ”

şi „Ei Te vor purta pe braţele lor, ca nu cumva să-Ţi loveşti piciorul de vreo piatră!“

12 A nd Jesus answered and said to him, “It has been said, ‘You shall not tempt the Lord your God.’ ”

Isus i-a răspuns: – S-a zis: „Să nu-L ispiteşti pe Domnul, Dumnezeul tău!“

13 N ow when the devil had ended every temptation, he departed from Him until an opportune time. Jesus Begins His Galilean Ministry

După ce L-a ispitit în toate felurile, diavolul a plecat de la El până la o vreme anume. Începutul lucrării lui Isus în Galileea

14 T hen Jesus returned in the power of the Spirit to Galilee, and news of Him went out through all the surrounding region.

Isus S-a întors în Galileea, în puterea Duhului Sfânt. Şi vestea despre El s-a răspândit prin toată regiunea dimprejur.

15 A nd He taught in their synagogues, being glorified by all. Jesus Rejected at Nazareth

El dădea învăţătură în sinagogile lor şi era lăudat de toţi. Necredinţa celor din Nazaret

16 S o He came to Nazareth, where He had been brought up. And as His custom was, He went into the synagogue on the Sabbath day, and stood up to read.

A venit în Nazaret, unde fusese crescut, şi, după obiceiul Său, a intrat în sinagogă în ziua de Sabat şi S-a ridicat să citească.

17 A nd He was handed the book of the prophet Isaiah. And when He had opened the book, He found the place where it was written:

I s-a dat sulul profetului Isaia. Când a desfăşurat sulul, a găsit locul unde era scris:

18 “ The Spirit of the Lord is upon Me, Because He has anointed Me To preach the gospel to the poor; He has sent Me to heal the brokenhearted, To proclaim liberty to the captives And recovery of sight to the blind, To set at liberty those who are oppressed;

„Duhul Domnului este peste Mine, căci El M-a uns ca să aduc celor sărmani vestea bună. El M-a trimis să vestesc celor captivi eliberarea şi orbilor – căpătarea vederii, să-i eliberez pe cei asupriţi

19 T o proclaim the acceptable year of the Lord.”

şi să vestesc anul de îndurare al Domnului!“

20 T hen He closed the book, and gave it back to the attendant and sat down. And the eyes of all who were in the synagogue were fixed on Him.

Apoi a înfăşurat sulul la loc, i l-a dat înapoi slujitorului şi S-a aşezat. Ochii tuturor celor din sinagogă erau aţintiţi asupra Lui.

21 A nd He began to say to them, “Today this Scripture is fulfilled in your hearing.”

El a început să le vorbească astfel: „Astăzi a fost împlinit acest pasaj din Scriptură în auzul urechilor voastre.“

22 S o all bore witness to Him, and marveled at the gracious words which proceeded out of His mouth. And they said, “Is this not Joseph’s son?”

Toţi Îl vorbeau de bine, se mirau de cuvintele pline de har care ieşeau din gura Lui şi se întrebau: „Oare nu este Acesta fiul lui Iosif?“

23 H e said to them, “You will surely say this proverb to Me, ‘Physician, heal yourself! Whatever we have heard done in Capernaum, do also here in Your country.’”

El le-a zis: „Fără îndoială, Îmi veţi spune proverbul acesta: «Doctore, vindecă-te pe tine însuţi! Fă şi aici, în patria Ta, tot ceea ce am auzit că s-a întâmplat în Capernaum!»

24 T hen He said, “Assuredly, I say to you, no prophet is accepted in his own country.

Dar adevărat vă spun, a mai zis El, că nici un profet nu este acceptat în patria lui!

25 B ut I tell you truly, many widows were in Israel in the days of Elijah, when the heaven was shut up three years and six months, and there was a great famine throughout all the land;

Vă spun adevărul: în zilele lui Ilie, atunci când a fost încuiat cerul timp de trei ani şi şase luni şi a fost o mare foamete în toată ţara, erau multe văduve în Israel,

26 b ut to none of them was Elijah sent except to Zarephath, in the region of Sidon, to a woman who was a widow.

dar Ilie n-a fost trimis la nici una dintre ele, decât la o văduvă din Sarepta Sidonului.

27 A nd many lepers were in Israel in the time of Elisha the prophet, and none of them was cleansed except Naaman the Syrian.”

Şi pe vremea profetului Elisei erau mulţi leproşi în Israel, dar nici unul dintre ei n-a fost curăţit, decât sirianul Naaman.“

28 S o all those in the synagogue, when they heard these things, were filled with wrath,

Când au auzit aceste cuvinte, toţi cei din sinagogă s-au umplut de mânie.

29 a nd rose up and thrust Him out of the city; and they led Him to the brow of the hill on which their city was built, that they might throw Him down over the cliff.

S-au ridicat, L-au scos în afara cetăţii şi L-au dus până pe sprânceana muntelui, pe care era construită cetatea lor, ca să-L arunce jos.

30 T hen passing through the midst of them, He went His way. Jesus Casts Out an Unclean Spirit

Însă El a trecut prin mijlocul lor şi a plecat.

31 T hen He went down to Capernaum, a city of Galilee, and was teaching them on the Sabbaths.

S-a dus în Capernaum, o cetate din Galileea, şi, în ziua de Sabat, a început să dea învăţătură.

32 A nd they were astonished at His teaching, for His word was with authority.

Oamenii se mirau de învăţătura Lui, întrucât cuvântul Lui avea autoritate.

33 N ow in the synagogue there was a man who had a spirit of an unclean demon. And he cried out with a loud voice,

În sinagogă era un om care avea un duh de demon necurat. El a strigat cu glas tare:

34 s aying, “Let us alone! What have we to do with You, Jesus of Nazareth? Did You come to destroy us? I know who You are—the Holy One of God!”

– Ha! Ce avem noi de-a face cu Tine, Isuse din Nazaret? Ai venit să ne distrugi? Ştiu Cine eşti: Sfântul lui Dumnezeu!

35 B ut Jesus rebuked him, saying, “Be quiet, and come out of him!” And when the demon had thrown him in their midst, it came out of him and did not hurt him.

Isus l-a mustrat zicându-i: – Taci şi ieşi afară din el! Demonul l-a aruncat la pământ în mijlocul lor şi a ieşit din el fără să-i facă vreun rău.

36 T hen they were all amazed and spoke among themselves, saying, “What a word this is! For with authority and power He commands the unclean spirits, and they come out.”

Toţi au fost cuprinşi de uimire şi se întrebau unii pe alţii: „Ce înseamnă învăţătura aceasta? El porunceşte cu autoritate şi cu putere duhurilor necurate, iar ele ies afară!“

37 A nd the report about Him went out into every place in the surrounding region. Peter’s Mother-in-Law Healed

Şi I s-a dus vestea în orice loc din regiune.

38 N ow He arose from the synagogue and entered Simon’s house. But Simon’s wife’s mother was sick with a high fever, and they made request of Him concerning her.

S-a ridicat şi, după ce a ieşit din sinagogă, S-a dus acasă la Simon. Soacra lui Simon era cuprinsă de febră mare şi ei L-au rugat pentru ea.

39 S o He stood over her and rebuked the fever, and it left her. And immediately she arose and served them. Many Healed After Sabbath Sunset

El S-a aplecat asupra ei, a mustrat febra, şi febra a lăsat-o, iar ea s-a ridicat imediat şi a început să le slujească.

40 W hen the sun was setting, all those who had any that were sick with various diseases brought them to Him; and He laid His hands on every one of them and healed them.

După apusul soarelui, toţi cei care aveau bolnavi de diferite boli i-au adus la Isus, iar El Şi-a pus mâinile peste fiecare dintre ei şi i-a vindecat.

41 A nd demons also came out of many, crying out and saying, “You are the Christ, the Son of God!” And He, rebuking them, did not allow them to speak, for they knew that He was the Christ. Jesus Preaches in Galilee

De asemenea, din mulţi ieşeau demoni, care strigau şi ziceau: „Tu eşti Fiul lui Dumnezeu!“ El îi certa şi nu le dădea voie să vorbească, pentru că ei ştiau că El este Cristosul.

42 N ow when it was day, He departed and went into a deserted place. And the crowd sought Him and came to Him, and tried to keep Him from leaving them;

Când se crăpa de ziuă, Isus a ieşit şi S-a dus într-un loc pustiu. Mulţimile au început să-L caute şi au ajuns până la El. Ei încercau să-L oprească, ca să nu plece de la ei,

43 b ut He said to them, “I must preach the kingdom of God to the other cities also, because for this purpose I have been sent.”

însă El le-a zis: „Trebuie să predic şi în alte cetăţi Evanghelia Împărăţiei lui Dumnezeu, căci pentru aceasta am fost trimis.“

44 A nd He was preaching in the synagogues of Galilee.

Şi a continuat să predice în sinagogile din Iudeea.
