1 T o You I will cry, O Lord my Rock: Do not be silent to me, Lest, if You are silent to me, I become like those who go down to the pit.

Doamne, către Tine strig! Stânca mea, nu rămâne surd la strigătul meu, ca nu cumva, tăcând faţă de mine, să mă asemăn cu cei care se coboară în groapă!

2 H ear the voice of my supplications When I cry to You, When I lift up my hands toward Your holy sanctuary.

Ascultă glasul rugilor mele, atunci când strig către Tine după ajutor, atunci când îmi ridic mâinile spre Locul Tău Preasfânt!

3 D o not take me away with the wicked And with the workers of iniquity, Who speak peace to their neighbors, But evil is in their hearts.

Nu mă condamna împreună cu cei răi, împreună cu răufăcătorii, cu cei ce vorbesc de pace semenului lor, dar în inima lor este numai răutate.

4 G ive them according to their deeds, And according to the wickedness of their endeavors; Give them according to the work of their hands; Render to them what they deserve.

Răsplăteşte-le după faptele lor, după răutatea lucrărilor lor; după faptele mâinilor lor să le răsplăteşti! Întoarce asupra lor răsplata cuvenită!

5 B ecause they do not regard the works of the Lord, Nor the operation of His hands, He shall destroy them And not build them up.

Pentru că ei nu iau aminte la lucrările Domnului şi la faptele mâinilor Lui, El îi va dărâma şi nu îi va mai zidi la loc!

6 B lessed be the Lord, Because He has heard the voice of my supplications!

Binecuvântat să fie Domnul, căci El a ascultat glasul rugilor mele!

7 T he Lord is my strength and my shield; My heart trusted in Him, and I am helped; Therefore my heart greatly rejoices, And with my song I will praise Him.

Domnul este tăria mea şi scutul meu! În El mi se încrede inima, şi sunt ajutat. De aceea inima mea chiuie de bucurie şi-I aduc mulţumiri prin cântecele mele!

8 T he Lord is their strength, And He is the saving refuge of His anointed.

Domnul este tăria poporului Său! El este fortăreaţă izbăvitoare pentru unsul Său.

9 S ave Your people, And bless Your inheritance; Shepherd them also, And bear them up forever.

Mântuieşte-Ţi poporul! Binecuvântează-Ţi moştenirea! Păstoreşte-i şi sprijină-i pe vecie!
