1 A wake, awake! Put on your strength, O Zion; Put on your beautiful garments, O Jerusalem, the holy city! For the uncircumcised and the unclean Shall no longer come to you.

Trezeşte-te! Trezeşte-te! Îmbracă-ţi puterea, Sioane! Îmbracă-ţi hainele frumoase, Ierusalime, cetate sfântă! Căci cel necircumcis şi cel necurat nu vor mai intra în tine.

2 S hake yourself from the dust, arise; Sit down, O Jerusalem! Loose yourself from the bonds of your neck, O captive daughter of Zion!

Scutură-te de ţărână! Ridică-te şi şezi, Ierusalime! Dezleagă-ţi legăturile de la gât, fiică captivă a Sionului!

3 F or thus says the Lord: “You have sold yourselves for nothing, And you shall be redeemed without money.”

Căci aşa vorbeşte Domnul: «Fără plată aţi fost vânduţi, fără argint veţi fi şi răscumpăraţi!»

4 F or thus says the Lord God: “My people went down at first Into Egypt to dwell there; Then the Assyrian oppressed them without cause.

Fiindcă aşa vorbeşte Stăpânul Domn: «Odinioară, poporul Meu s-a dus în Egipt, ca să locuiască acolo. Mai târziu, Asiria l-a asuprit fără motiv.

5 N ow therefore, what have I here,” says the Lord, “That My people are taken away for nothing? Those who rule over them Make them wail,” says the Lord, “And My name is blasphemed continually every day.

Prin urmare, ce am să fac acum, zice Domnul, văzând că poporul Meu este luat pe nimic? Stăpânitorii lui strigă triumfători, zice Domnul, şi cât este ziua de mare Numele Meu este blasfemiat.

6 T herefore My people shall know My name; Therefore they shall know in that day That I am He who speaks: ‘Behold, it is I.’”

De aceea poporul Meu va cunoaşte Numele Meu; de aceea în ziua amintită vor şti că Eu sunt Cel Ce rostesc: ‘Iată-Mă!’»

7 H ow beautiful upon the mountains Are the feet of him who brings good news, Who proclaims peace, Who brings glad tidings of good things, Who proclaims salvation, Who says to Zion, “Your God reigns!”

Cât de frumoase sunt pe munţi picioarele mesagerului care vesteşte pacea şi aduce veşti bune, care vesteşte mântuirea şi spune Sionului: «Dumnezeul tău împărăţeşte!»

8 Y our watchmen shall lift up their voices, With their voices they shall sing together; For they shall see eye to eye When the Lord brings back Zion.

Ascultă! Străjerii tăi îşi înalţă glasurile şi strigă împreună de bucurie, căci văd cu ochii lor cum Se întoarce Domnul în Sion.

9 B reak forth into joy, sing together, You waste places of Jerusalem! For the Lord has comforted His people, He has redeemed Jerusalem.

Izbucniţi împreună în strigăte de bucurie, ruine ale Ierusalimului! Căci Domnul Şi-a mângâiat poporul şi a răscumpărat Ierusalimul.

10 T he Lord has made bare His holy arm In the eyes of all the nations; And all the ends of the earth shall see The salvation of our God.

Domnul Şi-a descoperit braţul Său cel sfânt înaintea tuturor neamurilor şi toate marginile pământului vor vedea mântuirea Dumnezeului nostru.

11 D epart! Depart! Go out from there, Touch no unclean thing; Go out from the midst of her, Be clean, You who bear the vessels of the Lord.

Îndepărtaţi-vă, îndepărtaţi-vă! Ieşiţi de acolo! Nu atingeţi nimic necurat! Ieşiţi din mijlocul ei şi curăţiţi-vă, voi, care purtaţi vasele Domnului!

12 F or you shall not go out with haste, Nor go by flight; For the Lord will go before you, And the God of Israel will be your rear guard. The Sin-Bearing Servant

Nu trebuie să ieşiţi în grabă sau să plecaţi în fugă, căci Domnul va merge înaintea voastră şi Dumnezeul lui Israel vă va fi ariergardă. Suferinţa şi înălţarea Robului Domnului

13 B ehold, My Servant shall deal prudently; He shall be exalted and extolled and be very high.

«Iată, Robul Meu va propăşi, va fi înălţat şi ridicat şi va ajunge foarte sus.

14 J ust as many were astonished at you, So His visage was marred more than any man, And His form more than the sons of men;

Aşa cum pentru mulţi a fost o pricină de groază – atât de sluţită Îi era faţa, diferită de cea a omului, nemaiavând înfăţişarea fiilor oamenilor –

15 S o shall He sprinkle many nations. Kings shall shut their mouths at Him; For what had not been told them they shall see, And what they had not heard they shall consider.

tot aşa El va uimi multe neamuri; împăraţii vor amuţi înaintea Lui, căci vor vedea ceva ce nu le-a mai fost spus şi vor înţelege ceva ce n-au mai auzit.»
