1 N ow when they drew near Jerusalem, to Bethphage and Bethany, at the Mount of Olives, He sent two of His disciples;

2 a nd He said to them, “Go into the village opposite you; and as soon as you have entered it you will find a colt tied, on which no one has sat. Loose it and bring it.

spunându-le: „Duceţi-vă în satul dinaintea voastră şi imediat ce intraţi în el, veţi găsi legat un măgăruş pe care nu a încălecat încă nici un om. Dezlegaţi-l şi aduceţi-l!

3 A nd if anyone says to you, ‘Why are you doing this?’ say, ‘The Lord has need of it,’ and immediately he will send it here.”

Dacă vă va zice cineva: «De ce faceţi aceasta?», să-i spuneţi: «Domnul are nevoie de el. Şi imediat îl va trimite înapoi aici.»“

4 S o they went their way, and found the colt tied by the door outside on the street, and they loosed it.

Ei s-au dus, au găsit măgăruşul legat lângă uşă, afară în stradă, şi l-au dezlegat.

5 B ut some of those who stood there said to them, “What are you doing, loosing the colt?”

Cei care stăteau acolo i-au întrebat: „Ce faceţi de dezlegaţi măgăruşul?“

6 A nd they spoke to them just as Jesus had commanded. So they let them go.

Ei le-au zis aşa cum le spusese Isus şi aceştia i-au lăsat să plece.

7 T hen they brought the colt to Jesus and threw their clothes on it, and He sat on it.

Au adus măgăruşul la Isus, şi-au pus hainele peste el, iar Isus S-a aşezat deasupra lui.

8 A nd many spread their clothes on the road, and others cut down leafy branches from the trees and spread them on the road.

Mulţi îşi aşterneau hainele pe drum, iar alţii presărau ramuri pe care le tăiaseră de pe câmpuri.

9 T hen those who went before and those who followed cried out, saying: “Hosanna! ‘Blessed is He who comes in the name of the L ord!’

Cei care mergeau înainte şi cei care-L urmau strigau: „ Osana! Binecuvântat este Cel Ce vine în Numele Domnului!

10 B lessed is the kingdom of our father David That comes in the name of the Lord! Hosanna in the highest!”

Binecuvântată este Împărăţia care vine, Împărăţia părintelui nostru David! Osana în locurile preaînalte!“ Isus curăţă Templul

11 A nd Jesus went into Jerusalem and into the temple. So when He had looked around at all things, as the hour was already late, He went out to Bethany with the twelve. The Fig Tree Withered

A intrat în Ierusalim, în Templu, s-a uitat de jur-împrejur la toate lucrurile şi, pentru că era deja seara târziu, S-a dus la Betania împreună cu cei doisprezece.

12 N ow the next day, when they had come out from Bethany, He was hungry.

În ziua următoare, după ce au ieşit din Betania, lui Isus I s-a făcut foame.

13 A nd seeing from afar a fig tree having leaves, He went to see if perhaps He would find something on it. When He came to it, He found nothing but leaves, for it was not the season for figs.

A văzut de departe un smochin care avea frunze şi S-a dus să vadă dacă va găsi ceva în el. Dar, când a ajuns, n-a găsit decât frunze, pentru că nu era vremea smochinelor.

14 I n response Jesus said to it, “Let no one eat fruit from you ever again.” And His disciples heard it. Jesus Cleanses the Temple

Atunci i-a zis: „În veac să nu mai mănânce nimeni roade din tine!“ Ucenicii Lui au auzit aceasta.

15 S o they came to Jerusalem. Then Jesus went into the temple and began to drive out those who bought and sold in the temple, and overturned the tables of the money changers and the seats of those who sold doves.

Au ajuns în Ierusalim. El a intrat în Templu şi a început să-i scoată afară pe cei ce vindeau şi cumpărau în Templu. A răsturnat mesele schimbătorilor de bani şi scaunele celor ce vindeau porumbei

16 A nd He would not allow anyone to carry wares through the temple.

17 T hen He taught, saying to them, “Is it not written, ‘My house shall be called a house of prayer for all nations’? But you have made it a ‘den of thieves.’ ”

El îi învăţa şi le zicea: „Oare nu este scris: «Casa Mea va fi numită o casă de rugăciune pentru toate neamurile.» ? Dar voi aţi făcut din ea o peşteră de tâlhari!“

18 A nd the scribes and chief priests heard it and sought how they might destroy Him; for they feared Him, because all the people were astonished at His teaching.

Conducătorii preoţilor şi cărturarii au auzit lucrul acesta şi căutau o modalitate să-L omoare, pentru că se temeau de El, deoarece întreaga mulţime era uimită de învăţătura Lui.

19 W hen evening had come, He went out of the city. The Lesson of the Withered Fig Tree

Şi ori de câte ori se făcea târziu, Isus şi ucenicii Lui ieşeau afară din cetate. Smochinul uscat. Puterea credinţei

20 N ow in the morning, as they passed by, they saw the fig tree dried up from the roots.

Dimineaţa, când au trecut pe lângă smochin, au văzut că era uscat din rădăcini.

21 A nd Peter, remembering, said to Him, “Rabbi, look! The fig tree which You cursed has withered away.”

Petru şi-a amintit ce se întâmplase şi i-a zis: – Rabbi, iată că smochinul pe care l-ai blestemat s-a uscat!

22 S o Jesus answered and said to them, “Have faith in God.

Isus a răspuns: – Aveţi credinţă în Dumnezeu!

23 F or assuredly, I say to you, whoever says to this mountain, ‘Be removed and be cast into the sea,’ and does not doubt in his heart, but believes that those things he says will be done, he will have whatever he says.

Adevărat vă spun că dacă cineva ar zice acestui munte: „Ridică-te şi aruncă-te în mare!“ şi nu s-ar îndoi în inima lui, ci ar crede că ceea ce spune se va întâmpla, i se va da întocmai!

24 T herefore I say to you, whatever things you ask when you pray, believe that you receive them, and you will have them. Forgiveness and Prayer

De aceea vă spun că toate lucrurile pe care le cereţi atunci când vă rugaţi, să credeţi că le-aţi şi primit şi ele vi se vor da.

25 “ And whenever you stand praying, if you have anything against anyone, forgive him, that your Father in heaven may also forgive you your trespasses.

Şi când staţi în picioare rugându-vă, să iertaţi dacă aveţi ceva împotriva cuiva, pentru ca şi Tatăl vostru Care este în ceruri să vă ierte vouă greşelile.

26 B ut if you do not forgive, neither will your Father in heaven forgive your trespasses.” Jesus’ Authority Questioned

(Dar dacă nu iertaţi, nici Tatăl vostru Care este în ceruri nu va ierta greşelile voastre.) Autoritatea lui Isus

27 T hen they came again to Jerusalem. And as He was walking in the temple, the chief priests, the scribes, and the elders came to Him.

Au intrat apoi din nou în Ierusalim. În timp ce se plimba prin Templu, au venit la El conducătorii preoţilor, cărturarii şi bătrânii

28 A nd they said to Him, “By what authority are You doing these things? And who gave You this authority to do these things?”

şi L-au întrebat: – Cu ce autoritate faci aceste lucruri? Şi cine Ţi-a dat această autoritate ca să le faci?

29 B ut Jesus answered and said to them, “I also will ask you one question; then answer Me, and I will tell you by what authority I do these things:

Isus le-a răspuns: – Vă voi pune o întrebare. Răspundeţi-Mi, şi vă voi spune cu ce autoritate fac aceste lucruri.

30 T he baptism of John—was it from heaven or from men? Answer Me.”

Botezul lui Ioan era din cer sau de la oameni? Răspundeţi-Mi!

31 A nd they reasoned among themselves, saying, “If we say, ‘From heaven,’ He will say, ‘Why then did you not believe him?’

Ei au început să vorbească între ei şi să zică: „Dacă vom răspunde: «Din cer!», ne va întreba: «Atunci de ce nu l-aţi crezut?».

32 B ut if we say, ‘From men’”—they feared the people, for all counted John to have been a prophet indeed.

Sau să răspundem: «De la oameni!»?“ Ei se temeau de mulţime, fiindcă toţi considerau că Ioan a fost într-adevăr un profet.

33 S o they answered and said to Jesus, “We do not know.” And Jesus answered and said to them, “Neither will I tell you by what authority I do these things.”

Aşa că I-au răspuns lui Isus: – Nu ştim! Atunci şi Isus le-a zis: – Nici Eu nu vă spun cu ce autoritate fac aceste lucruri.
