1 V indicate me, O God, And plead my cause against an ungodly nation; Oh, deliver me from the deceitful and unjust man!

Fă-mi dreptate, Dumnezeule, apără-mi pricina în faţa unui neam necredincios! Scapă-mă de omul înşelător şi nedrept!

2 F or You are the God of my strength; Why do You cast me off? Why do I go mourning because of the oppression of the enemy?

Tu eşti Dumnezeu, eşti adăpostul meu! De ce mă alungi? De ce trebuie să umblu întristat, asuprit de duşman?

3 O h, send out Your light and Your truth! Let them lead me; Let them bring me to Your holy hill And to Your tabernacle.

Trimite-Ţi lumina şi adevărul, ca să mă călăuzească, să mă conducă la muntele Tău cel sfânt şi la locuinţa Ta!

4 T hen I will go to the altar of God, To God my exceeding joy; And on the harp I will praise You, O God, my God.

Să ajung la altarul lui Dumnezeu, la Dumnezeul nespusei mele bucurii! Te voi lăuda din liră, Dumnezeule, Dumnezeul meu!

5 W hy are you cast down, O my soul? And why are you disquieted within me? Hope in God; For I shall yet praise Him, The help of my countenance and my God.

Suflete al meu, de ce te mâhneşti, şi de ce gemi înăuntrul meu? Nădăjduieşte în Dumnezeu, căci din nou Îl voi lăuda, pe El, Mântuitorul meu şi Dumnezeul meu!
