1 T he time for the supper of bread without yeast was near. It was the special religious gathering to remember how the Jews left Egypt.

Приближался праздник Пресных хлебов, называемый Пасхой.

2 T he religious leaders and the teachers of the Law looked for a way to kill Jesus. But they were afraid of the people.

Первосвященники и учители Закона искали способа разделаться с Иисусом так, чтобы не вызвать возмущения народа. Иуда решает предать Иисуса (Мат. 26: 14-16; Мк. 14: 10-11)

3 T hen Satan came into the heart of Judas who was called Iscariot. He was one of the twelve followers.

Тогда сатана вошел в Иуду, которого называли Искариотом, одного из числа двенадцати.

4 J udas went away and talked with the religious leaders and the leaders of the people. He talked about how he might hand Jesus over to them.

Иуда пошел и поговорил с первосвященниками и с начальниками храмовой стражи о том, как ему предать им Иисуса.

5 T hey were glad and promised to pay him money.

Те обрадовались и обещали заплатить ему.

6 J udas promised to do this and then looked for a way to hand Jesus over when there were no people around. Getting Ready for the Special Supper

Иуда согласился и стал искать удобного случая, когда с Иисусом не будет народа, чтобы предать Его. Приготовления учеников к Пасхе (Мат. 26: 17-19; Мк. 14: 12-16)

7 T he day of bread without yeast came. It was the day when the lamb had to be killed and given on the altar in worship in the house of God. It was the special religious gathering to remember how the Jews left Egypt.

Наступил день Пресных хлебов, когда следовало зарезать пасхального ягненка,

8 J esus sent Peter and John and said, “Go and get this special supper ready for us that we may eat.”

и Иисус послал Петра и Иоанна с поручением: – Идите и приготовьте для нас пасхальный ужин.

9 T hey said to Him, “Where do You want us to get it ready?”

– Где Ты хочешь, чтобы мы его приготовили? – спросили они.

10 H e answered, “See, when you go into the city, you will meet a man carrying a jar of water. Follow him into the house where he goes.

Он ответил: – Когда вы войдете в город, то встретите человека, несущего кувшин с водой. Идите за ним в дом, куда он войдет,

11 S ay to the owner of the house, ‘The Teacher asks you, “Where is the room you keep for friends where I may eat this special supper with My followers?”’

и скажите хозяину дома: Учитель спрашивает тебя: «Где комната для гостей, в которой Я буду есть пасхальный ужин с Моими учениками?»

12 H e will take you to a large room on the second floor with everything in it. Make it ready for us.”

Он вам покажет большую комнату наверху, в которой уже все подготовлено. Там и приготовьте ужин.

13 T hey went and found everything as Jesus had said. They got ready for the special supper. The First Lord’s Supper

Они пошли, и все произошло так, как им сказал Иисус, и они приготовили пасхальный ужин. Последний ужин Иисуса с учениками (Мат. 26: 20-29; Мк. 14: 17-25; 1 Кор. 11: 23-25)

14 W hen the time came, Jesus sat down with the twelve followers.

Когда подошло время, Иисус с учениками собрались у стола.

15 H e said to them, “I have wanted very much to eat this special supper with you to remember how the Jews left Egypt. I have wanted to eat this with you before I suffer.

Иисус сказал им: – Я очень хотел есть эту Пасху с вами перед Моими страданиями.

16 I say to you, I will not eat this special supper again until its true meaning is completed in the holy nation of God.”

Говорю вам, что Я уже не буду есть ее до тех пор, пока она не совершится в Царстве Бога.

17 T hen Jesus took the cup and gave thanks. He said, “Take this and pass it to each one.

Взяв чашу и поблагодарив за нее Бога, Он сказал: – Возьмите ее и разделите между собой.

18 I say to you that I will not drink of the fruit of the vine until the holy nation of God comes.”

Говорю вам, что Я уже не буду пить от плода виноградного до тех пор, пока не придет Божье Царство.

19 T hen Jesus took bread and gave thanks and broke it in pieces. He gave it to them, saying, “This is My body which is given for you. Do this to remember Me.”

Затем, взяв хлеб и поблагодарив за него Бога, Он разломил его и дал ученикам со словами: – Это Мое тело, отдаваемое за вас. Делайте это в воспоминание обо Мне.

20 I n the same way, after they had finished the bread, He took the cup. He said, “This cup is My blood of the New Way of Worship which is given for you. Jesus Tells of the One Who Will Hand Him Over

Также взял и чашу после ужина и сказал: – Эта чаша – новый завет, скрепленный Моей кровью, которая за вас проливается.

21 “ See, the hand of the one who will give Me over to the leaders of the country is on the table with Me.

Но рука того, кто предает Меня, на одном столе с Моей.

22 T he Son of Man will be taken this way because it has been in God’s plan. But it is bad for that man who hands Him over!”

С Сыном Человеческим все случится так, как было предназначено, но горе тому человеку, который предает Его.

23 T hey began to ask each other which of them would do this. Arguing about Who Is the Greatest

Тогда ученики начали спрашивать друг друга, кто из них мог бы совершить такое. Не господствуйте, но служите (Мат. 20: 25-28; 19: 28; Мк. 10: 42-45)

24 T hey started to argue among themselves about who was thought to be the greatest.

Потом они начали спорить, кто из них должен считаться самым великим.

25 J esus said to them, “The kings of the nations show their power to the people. Those who have power over the people are given names of honor.

Иисус тогда сказал им: – Цари язычников господствуют над ними, правителей народа именуют «благодетелями»,

26 B ut you will not be like that. Let the greatest among you be as the least. Let the leader be as the one who cares for others.

но вы не будьте, как они. Напротив, пусть самый великий среди вас будет как самый меньший, и начальник – как слуга.

27 W ho is greater, the one who is eating at the table, or the one who is caring for him? Is it not the one who is eating at the table? But I am here with you as One Who cares for you. The Followers Will Be Honored

Ведь кто важнее: тот, кто возлежит за столом, или тот, кто прислуживает? Разве не тот, кто возлежит? Я же среди вас как слуга.

28 “ You have stayed with Me through all the hard things that have come to Me.

Вы были со Мной во всех Моих испытаниях,

29 A s My Father has given Me a holy nation, I will give you the right

и как Мой Отец дал Мне царскую власть, так Я теперь даю ее вам,

30 t o eat and drink at My table in My holy nation. You will sit on thrones and judge the twelve family groups of the Jewish nation.” Jesus Tells How Peter Will Lie about Him

чтобы и вы могли есть и пить за Моим столом в Моем Царстве, и вы сядете на престолах судить двенадцать родов Израиля. Иисус предсказывает отречение Петра (Мат. 26: 33-35; Мк. 14: 29-31; Ин. 13: 37-38)

31 T he Lord said, “Simon, Simon, listen! Satan has wanted to have you. He will divide you as wheat is divided from that which is no good.

– Симон, Симон, сатана просил, чтобы все вы были рассеяны, как пшеница,

32 B ut I have prayed for you. I have prayed that your faith will be strong and that you will not give up. When you return, you must help to make your brothers strong.”

но Я молился о тебе, чтобы ты не потерял веру. И ты сам, когда обратишься ко Мне, укрепи своих братьев.

33 P eter said to Jesus, “Lord, I am ready to go to prison and to die with You!”

Петр ответил: – Господи, я готов идти с Тобой и в темницу, и на смерть!

34 J esus said, “I tell you, Peter, a rooster will not crow today before you will say three times that you do not know Me.” The Followers Are Told of Trouble to Come

Но Иисус сказал: – Говорю тебе, Петр, не успеет и петух пропеть сегодня, как ты трижды откажешься от того, что знаешь Меня.

35 J esus said to them, “I sent you without money or bag or shoes. Did you need anything?” They said, “Nothing.”

Потом Иисус спросил их: – Когда Я посылал вас без кошелька, без сумки, без сандалий, нуждались ли вы в чем-либо? – Ни в чем, – ответили они.

36 T hen He said to them, “But now whoever has a money-bag and a bag for food should take it. Whoever does not have a sword should sell his coat and buy one.

– Сейчас же, если у вас есть кошелек, возьмите его, возьмите и сумку, и если у вас нет меча, то продайте плащ, но купите меч.

37 I tell you, that what has been written about Me must happen. It says, ‘They thought of Him as One Who broke the Law.’ What is told about Me must happen.”

Говорю вам, что со Мной должно исполниться сказанное в Писании: «Он был причислен к преступникам». Все, что обо Мне было написано, скоро исполнится.

38 T hey said, “Lord, look, we have two swords.” He answered, “That is enough.” Jesus Prays in the Garden

Ученики сказали: – Смотри, Господи, у нас есть два меча. – Достаточно об этом, – ответил Иисус. Иисус молится на Масличной горе (Мат. 26: 36-46; Мк. 14: 32-42)

39 J esus came out of the room. Then He went to the Mount of Olives as He had been doing. The followers went with Him.

Иисус, как обычно, пошел на Масличную гору, и Его ученики пошли с Ним.

40 W hen He got there, He said to them, “Pray that you will not be tempted.”

Придя на место, Иисус сказал: – Молитесь, чтобы вам не поддаться искушению.

41 H e walked away from them about as far as a stone can be thrown. There He got down with His face on the ground and prayed.

Он отошел от них примерно на расстояние брошенного камня, опустился на колени и начал молиться:

42 H e said, “Father, if it can be done, take away what must happen to Me. Even so, not what I want, but what You want.”

– Отец, если Ты хочешь, пронеси эту чашу мимо Меня, но пусть все будет не по Моей воле, а по Твоей.

43 A n angel from heaven came and gave Him strength.

Тогда с небес Ему явился ангел и укреплял Его.

44 H is heart was much troubled and He prayed all the more. Water ran from His face like blood and fell to the ground.

В муках Иисус стал молиться еще горячее, и сделался пот Его как капли крови, стекавшие на землю.

45 W hen Jesus got up after praying, He went back to the followers. He found them sleeping because of so much sorrow.

Когда Он поднялся с молитвы и вернулся к ученикам, то нашел их спящими, потому что они были измучены печалью.

46 H e said to them, “Why are you sleeping? Get up and pray that you will not be tempted.” Jesus Is Handed Over to Sinners

– Почему вы спите? – спросил Иисус. – Вставайте и молитесь, чтобы вам не поддаться искушению. Иисус предан и арестован (Мат. 26: 47-56; Мк. 14: 43-50; Ин. 18: 3-11)

47 W hile Jesus was speaking, Judas came walking ahead of many people. He was one of the twelve followers. He came near to Jesus to kiss Him.

Он еще говорил, когда приблизилась толпа, во главе которой шел тот, кого звали Иудой, один из двенадцати учеников. Он подошел к Иисусу, чтобы поцеловать Его.

48 B ut Jesus said to him, “Judas, are you handing over the Son of Man with a kiss?”

Иисус сказал: – Иуда, ты поцелуем предаешь Сына Человеческого?

49 T hose around Jesus saw what was going to happen and asked, “Lord, should we fight with our swords?”

Когда же те, кто был с Иисусом, увидели, что происходит, они спросили: – Господи, а что если нам ударить мечом?

50 O ne of them hit a servant who was owned by the head religious leader and cut off his right ear.

И один из них ударил слугу первосвященника и отсек ему правое ухо.

51 J esus said, “Stop! This is enough.” And He put His hand on his ear and healed him. Jesus Stands in Front of the Religious Leaders

Но Иисус сказал: – Прекратите, довольно! Он прикоснулся к уху слуги и исцелил его.

52 J esus said to the religious leaders and the leaders of the house of God and the other leaders who came to Him, “Have you come with swords and sticks to take Me, as if I were a robber?

Затем Иисус сказал первосвященникам, начальникам храмовой стражи и старейшинам, которые пришли за Ним: – Что Я, разбойник, что вы пришли с мечами и кольями?

53 W hile I was with you everyday in the house of God, you never took hold of Me. But now is the time you are to come and you have come in the dark.”

Я каждый день был с вами в храме, и вы не схватили Меня. Но сейчас ваше время, сейчас власть тьмы. Отречение Петра (Мат. 26: 67-75; Мк. 14: 66-72; Ин. 18: 15-18, 25-27)

54 T hen they led Jesus away to the house of the head religious leader. Peter followed a long way behind Him. Peter Said He Did Not Know Jesus

Они схватили Его и повели в дом первосвященника. Петр шел за ними на некотором расстоянии.

55 T hey built a fire in the yard and sat down. Peter sat down with them.

Посреди двора первосвященника разожгли костер, и Петр вместе с другими людьми сел к нему греться.

56 O ne of the servant-girls saw Peter as he sat by the fire and looked right at him. She said, “This man was with Jesus also.”

Одна из служанок, увидев Петра в свете огня, пристально всмотрелась в него и сказала: – Этот человек тоже был с Ним.

57 P eter lied and said, “Woman, I do not know Him.”

Но Петр отрицал это. – Я не знаю Его, женщина, – сказал он.

58 A fter awhile another person saw him and said, “You are one of them also.” Peter said, “No, sir, I am not.”

Немного позже кто-то другой увидел его и сказал: – Ты тоже один из них. – Нет, друг, – ответил Петр.

59 A bout an hour later another person said the same thing, “For sure, this man was with Jesus also because he is from Galilee.”

Примерно час спустя еще кто-то стал утверждать: – Точно, этот человек тоже был с Ним, ведь он галилеянин.

60 B ut Peter said, “Sir, I do not know what you are saying.” And at once, while he was talking, a rooster crowed.

Но Петр сказал: – Я не знаю, о чем ты говоришь! И тотчас, когда он еще говорил, пропел петух.

61 T he Lord turned and looked at Peter. He remembered the Lord had said, “Before a rooster crows, you will say three times that you do not know Me.”

Господь повернулся и посмотрел на Петра. Тогда Петр вспомнил слова Господа, как Он сказал ему: – Прежде, чем пропоет петух сегодня, ты трижды отречешься от Меня.

62 P eter went outside and cried with a troubled heart.

И выйдя наружу, он горько заплакал.

63 T hose who watched Jesus so He could not get away made fun of Him and beat Him.

Люди, охранявшие Иисуса, стали насмехаться над Ним и бить Его.

64 T hey covered His eyes with a cloth and asked Him, “Tell us who hit You!”

Они завязывали Ему глаза и требовали: – Пророчествуй! Кто Тебя ударил?

65 T hey said many other bad things against Jesus.

И говорили Ему много других оскорблений. Совет религиозных вождей осуждает Иисуса (Мат. 26: 63-65; Мк. 14: 61-64; Ин. 18: 19-21)

66 W hen it was morning the leaders of the people and the religious leaders and the teachers of the Law got together. They took Jesus to the court of the religious leader. They said,

Рано утром старейшины народа, первосвященники и учители Закона собрались вместе на Совет. К ним ввели Иисуса.

67 “ Tell us if you are the Christ.” He said to them, “If I tell you, you will not believe Me.

– Если Ты Христос, то скажи нам прямо, – требовали они. Иисус ответил: – Если Я скажу вам, вы не поверите,

68 I f I ask you something, you will not tell Me.

и если Я вас спрошу, вы Мне не ответите.

69 F rom now on, the Son of Man will be seated at the right hand of the All-powerful God.”

Однако с этого времени Сын Человеческий будет сидеть по правую руку от Божьей силы.

70 T hey all said, “Then are You the Son of God?” He said, “You say that I am.”

Они все стали спрашивать: – Так Ты что, Сын Бога? Он ответил: – Вы сами говорите, что это Я.

71 T hen they said, “What other word do we need against Him? We have heard Him say this with His own mouth.”

Тогда они сказали: – Какие нам еще нужны свидетельства? Мы слышали это из Его собственных уст!
