1 T hen Pilate took Jesus and had Him beaten.

Тогда Пилат приказал бичевать Иисуса.

2 T he soldiers put a crown of thorns on His head. They put a purple coat on Him.

Солдаты сплели венок из терновника и надели Ему на голову. Они одели Его в пурпурную мантию,

3 T hen they said, “Hello, King of the Jews!” and hit Him with their hands.

подходили к Нему, говоря: – Да здравствует Царь иудеев! – и били Его по лицу.

4 P ilate went out again and said to the people, “See, I bring Him out to you so you will know I do not find Him guilty.”

Пилат вышел еще раз и сказал им: – Смотрите! Вот, я вывожу Его еще раз, чтобы вы убедились, что я не нахожу в Нем никакой вины.

5 J esus came out. He had on the crown of thorns and a purple coat. Pilate said to the people, “See! This is the Man!” Pilate Tries to Let Jesus Go Free

– Вот Человек, – сказал Пилат, когда Иисус вышел в терновом венке и в пурпурной мантии.

6 T he religious leaders and the soldiers saw Him. They spoke with loud voices, “Nail Him to a cross! Nail Him to a cross!” Pilate said, “Take Him yourselves and nail Him to a cross. As for me, I do not find Him guilty.”

Как только первосвященники и стража увидели Его, они закричали: – Распни! Распни Его! Но Пилат ответил: – Берите Его сами и распинайте, я же не нахожу в Нем никакой вины.

7 T he Jews said to Pilate, “We have a Law that says He should die because He has said He is the Son of God.”

Иудеи настаивали: – У нас есть Закон, и по нашему Закону Он должен умереть, потому что называет Себя Сыном Бога!

8 W hen Pilate heard them say this, he was more afraid.

Услышав это, Пилат еще больше испугался.

9 H e went into the court room again. He said to Jesus, “Where do You come from?” Jesus did not say a word.

Он опять вошел во дворец и спросил Иисуса: – Откуда Ты? Но Иисус не отвечал ему.

10 P ilate said, “Will You not speak to me? Do You not know that I have the right and the power to nail You to a cross? I have the right and the power to let You go free also.”

– Ты что, отказываешься говорить со мной? – сказал Пилат. – Неужели Ты не понимаешь, что у меня есть власть освободить Тебя или распять!

11 J esus said, “You would not have any right or power over Me if it were not given you from above. For this reason the one who handed Me over to you has the worse sin.”

Иисус ответил: – У тебя не было бы надо Мной никакой власти, если бы она не была дана тебе свыше. Поэтому на том, кто передал Меня тебе, больший грех.

12 W hen Pilate heard this, he wanted to let Jesus go free. But the Jews kept saying, “If you let this Man go free, you are not a friend of Caesar! Whoever makes himself as a king is working against Caesar.”

С этого момента Пилат искал возможности освободить Иисуса, но иудеи продолжали кричать: – Если ты отпустишь Его, то ты не друг кесарю. Каждый, кто заявляет, что он царь, – враг кесарю!

13 W hen Pilate heard this, he had Jesus brought in front of him. Pilate sat down at the place where men stand in front of him if they are thought to be guilty. The place is called the Stone Floor.

Когда Пилат это услышал, он вывел Иисуса, сел в судейское кресло на месте, называемом Каменный Помост, а на еврейском языке Габбата.

14 I t was the day to get ready for the special religious gathering to remember how the Jews left Egypt. It was about noon. Pilate said to the Jews, “See, your King!”

Была пятница перед Пасхой, и час шестой. – Вот ваш Царь, – сказал Пилат иудеям.

15 T hey spoke with a loud voice, “Take Him away! Nail Him to a cross!” Pilate said to them, “Do you want me to nail your King to a cross?” The head religious leaders said, “We have no king but Caesar!”

Они закричали: – Уведи Его вон! Вон! Распни Его! – Распять вашего Царя? – спросил Пилат. – У нас нет царя, кроме кесаря, – отвечали первосвященники.

16 T hen Pilate handed Him over to be nailed to a cross. They took Jesus and led Him away. Jesus on the Cross

Тогда Пилат отдал им Иисуса на распятие. Они взяли Иисуса и повели.

17 J esus carried His own cross to a hill called the Place of the Skull.

Неся Свой крест, Иисус пошел на место, называемое Лобным, а на еврейском языке – Голгофа. Иисус на кресте (Мат. 27: 33-44; Мк. 15: 24-32; Лк. 23: 33-43)

18 T here they nailed Him to the cross. With Him were two others. There was one on each side of Jesus.

Там Иисуса распяли, а с Ним, по обе стороны, еще двоих; Иисус был посередине.

19 T hen Pilate put a writing on the cross which said, JESUS OF NAZARETH, THE KING OF THE JEWS.

Пилат приказал прикрепить на кресте табличку с надписью: «ИИСУС НАЗАРЯНИН – ЦАРЬ ИУДЕЕВ».

20 T his was read by many of the Jews. The place where Jesus was nailed to the cross was near the city. The writing was written in the Hebrew and the Latin and the Greek languages.

Надпись эту читало много иудеев, так как место распятия Иисуса было близко к городу, а написано было по-еврейски, по-латыни и по-гречески.

21 T hen the head religious leaders of the Jews said to Pilate, “Do not write, ‘The King of the Jews’! Write, ‘He said, I am the King of the Jews.’”

Начальники иудеев возразили Пилату: – Напиши не «Царь иудеев», а что Он заявляет, будто Он Царь иудеев.

22 P ilate said, “What I have written is to stay just as it is!” They Divided His Clothes

– Что я написал, то написал, – ответил Пилат.

23 T he soldiers who nailed Jesus to the cross took His clothes and divided them in four parts, each soldier getting one part. But His coat which was not sewed was made in one piece.

Когда воины распяли Иисуса, они взяли Его верхнюю одежду и разделили на четыре части, каждому по одной. Рубашка Иисуса была без швов, сотканная целиком.

24 T hey said to each other, “Let us not cut it up. Let us draw names to see whose it should be.” This happened as the Holy Writings said it would happen, “They divided My clothes among them and they drew names for My coat.”

– Не будем ее рвать, – решили они, – бросим лучше жребий и посмотрим, кому она достанется. Это случилось во исполнение сказанного в Писании: «Они разделили между собой Мои одежды, и бросали жребий о Моем одеянии». Солдаты это исполнили.

25 T his is what the soldiers did. The Women at the Cross The mother of Jesus and her sister Mary, the wife of Cleophas, were standing near the cross. Mary Magdalene was there also.

Недалеко от креста Иисуса стояли Его мать, сестра матери, Мария – жена Клеопы и Мария из Магдалы.

26 J esus saw His mother and the follower whom He loved standing near. He said to His mother, “Woman, look at your son.”

Иисус увидел Свою мать и Своего любимого ученика, стоявшего рядом с ней. – О женщина, вот твой сын, – сказал Иисус матери.

27 T hen Jesus said to the follower, “Look at your mother.” From that time the follower took her to his own house. The Death of Jesus

Своему же ученику Он сказал: – Вот твоя мать. С этого времени ученик этот взял ее к себе в дом. Иисус умирает на кресте ( Мат. 27: 48-50; Мк. 15: 36-37; Лк. 23: 36)

28 J esus knew that everything was now finished. Everything happened as the Holy Writings said it would happen. He said, “I am thirsty.”

После того Иисус, зная, что все уже совершилось, и чтобы исполнилось Писание, сказал: – Хочу пить.

29 T here was a jar full of sour wine near. They filled a sponge and put it on a stick and put it to His mouth.

Там стоял кувшин с кислым вином, и солдаты, обмакнув в него губку, надели ее на стебель иссопа и подняли к губам Иисуса.

30 J esus took the sour wine and said, “It is finished.” He put His head down and gave up His spirit and died. His Bones Were Not Broken

Иисус попробовал вино и сказал: – Совершилось! Сказав это, Он уронил голову на грудь и предал дух.

31 T his was the day before the special religious gathering to remember how the Jews left Egypt. The next day was the Day of Rest and the great day of the religious gathering. The Jews went to Pilate and asked to have the legs of the men broken. They wanted their bodies taken away so they would not be hanging on the crosses on the Day of Rest.

Была пятница, и иудеи не хотели, чтобы тела оставались на крестах в субботу, тем более, что эта суббота была днем великого праздника. Поэтому они попросили Пилата перебить распятым голени и снять их тела с крестов.

32 T hen the soldiers came and broke the legs of the first man and of the other one who had been nailed to crosses beside Jesus.

Солдаты пришли и перебили голени сначала одному распятому рядом с Иисусом, а затем другому.

33 T hey came to Jesus. They saw He was already dead so they did not break His legs.

Когда же они подошли к Иисусу, то увидели, что Он уже мертв, и не стали перебивать Его ног.

34 B ut one of the soldiers pushed a spear into His side. Blood and water ran out.

Вместо этого один из солдат пронзил копьем бок Иисуса, и из него сразу же потекли кровь и вода.

35 T he one who saw it is writing this and what he says is true. He knows he is telling the truth so you may believe.

Тот, кто сам это видел, свидетельствует об этом, чтобы и вы поверили. Его свидетельство истинно, и он знает, что говорит правду.

36 T hese things happened as the Holy Writings said they would happen, “Not one of His bones will be broken.”

Все это произошло, чтобы исполнились слова Писания: «Ни одна из Его костей не будет переломлена».

37 A nd in another place the Holy Writings say, “They will look at Him Whose side they cut.” The Grave of Jesus

И в другом месте Писания говорится: «Они будут смотреть на Того, Которого пронзили». Погребение Иисуса (Мат. 27: 57-61; Мк. 15: 42-47; Лк. 23: 50-56)

38 J oseph was from the town of Arimathea. He was a follower of Jesus but was afraid of the Jews. So he worshiped without anyone knowing it. He asked Pilate if he could take away the body of Jesus. Pilate said he could. Then Joseph came and took it away.

После этого Иосиф из Аримафеи попросил Пилата отдать ему тело Иисуса. Иосиф был учеником Иисуса, но тайным, из страха перед иудеями. С позволения Пилата он пришел и забрал тело.

39 N icodemus came also. The first time he had come to Jesus had been at night. He brought with him a large box of spices.

С Иосифом был Никодим, который как-то приходил к Иисусу ночью. Никодим принес смесь из смирны и алоэ, литров около ста.

40 T hen they took the body of Jesus with the spices and put it in linen cloths. This was the way the Jews made a body ready for the grave.

Они сняли тело Иисуса и завернули его вместе с бальзамом в пелены из льняной ткани. Таков был иудейский погребальный обычай.

41 T here was a garden near the place where He had been nailed to the cross. In the garden there was a new grave in the side of the hill. No one had ever been laid there.

Там, где Иисуса распяли, был сад, и в саду – новая гробница, где еще никого не хоронили.

42 T his place was near by. Because it was the day the Jews got ready for the special religious gathering, they laid Jesus in it.

Так как это была пятница – день приготовления к Пасхе, а гробница была рядом, то они положили там Иисуса.
