1 T hen Pilate took Jesus and had Him beaten.

2 T he soldiers put a crown of thorns on His head. They put a purple coat on Him.

И войниците сплетоха венец от тръни, наложиха го на главата Му, и като Му облякоха морава дреха,

3 T hen they said, “Hello, King of the Jews!” and hit Him with their hands.

приближиха се при Него и казваха: Здравей, царю юдейски! и удряха Му плесници.

4 P ilate went out again and said to the people, “See, I bring Him out to you so you will know I do not find Him guilty.”

Тогава Пилат пак излезе вън и каза им: Ето, извеждам ви Го вън за да познаете, че не намирам никаква вина в Него.

5 J esus came out. He had on the crown of thorns and a purple coat. Pilate said to the people, “See! This is the Man!” Pilate Tries to Let Jesus Go Free

Исус, прочее, излезе вън носещ трънения венец и моравата дреха. <Пилат> им казва: Ето човекът!

6 T he religious leaders and the soldiers saw Him. They spoke with loud voices, “Nail Him to a cross! Nail Him to a cross!” Pilate said, “Take Him yourselves and nail Him to a cross. As for me, I do not find Him guilty.”

А като Го видяха главните свещеници и служители извикаха, казвайки: Разпни Го! разпни Го! Пилат им каза: Вземете Го вие и разпнете Го; защото аз не намирам вина в Него.

7 T he Jews said to Pilate, “We have a Law that says He should die because He has said He is the Son of God.”

Юдеите му отговориха: Ние си имаме закон и по тоя закон Той трябва да умре, защото направи Себе Си Божий Син.

8 W hen Pilate heard them say this, he was more afraid.

А Пилат като чу тая дума още повече се уплаши.

9 H e went into the court room again. He said to Jesus, “Where do You come from?” Jesus did not say a word.

И пак влезе в преторията и каза на Исуса: Ти от къде си? А Исус не му даде отговор.

10 P ilate said, “Will You not speak to me? Do You not know that I have the right and the power to nail You to a cross? I have the right and the power to let You go free also.”

Затова Пилат Му казва: На мене ли не говориш? Не знаеш ли че имам власт да Те пусна, и имам власт да Те разпна?

11 J esus said, “You would not have any right or power over Me if it were not given you from above. For this reason the one who handed Me over to you has the worse sin.”

Исус му отговори: Ти не би имал никаква власт над Мене, ако не бе ти дадено от горе; затова, по-голям грях има оня, който Ме предаде на тебе.

12 W hen Pilate heard this, he wanted to let Jesus go free. But the Jews kept saying, “If you let this Man go free, you are not a friend of Caesar! Whoever makes himself as a king is working against Caesar.”

Поради това Пилат търсеше начин да Го пусне; юдеите, обаче, викаха, казвайки: Ако пуснеш Тогова, не си Кесарев приятел; всеки, който прави себе си цар, е противник на Кесаря.

13 W hen Pilate heard this, he had Jesus brought in front of him. Pilate sat down at the place where men stand in front of him if they are thought to be guilty. The place is called the Stone Floor.

А Пилат, като чу тия думи, изведе Исуса вън и седна на съдийския стол, на мястото наречено Каменно настлание, а по еврейски, Гавата.

14 I t was the day to get ready for the special religious gathering to remember how the Jews left Egypt. It was about noon. Pilate said to the Jews, “See, your King!”

Беше денят на приготовление за пасхата, около шестия час; и той казва на юдеите: Ето вашият цар!

15 T hey spoke with a loud voice, “Take Him away! Nail Him to a cross!” Pilate said to them, “Do you want me to nail your King to a cross?” The head religious leaders said, “We have no king but Caesar!”

А те извикаха: Махни <Го>! махни! разпни Го! Пилат им казва: Вашия цар ли да разпна? Главните свещеници отговориха: Нямаме друг цар освен Кесаря.

16 T hen Pilate handed Him over to be nailed to a cross. They took Jesus and led Him away. Jesus on the Cross

Затова той им Го предаде да бъде разпнат.

17 J esus carried His own cross to a hill called the Place of the Skull.

И така, взеха Исуса; и Той сам носейки кръста Си излезе; и дойде на мястото наречено Лобно, което по еврейски се казва Голгота,

18 T here they nailed Him to the cross. With Him were two others. There was one on each side of Jesus.

гдето Го разпнаха, и с Него други двама, от едната и от другата страна, а Исус посред.

19 T hen Pilate put a writing on the cross which said, JESUS OF NAZARETH, THE KING OF THE JEWS.

А Пилат написа и надпис, който постави над <Него> на кръста. А писаното бе: Исус Назарянин, юдейският цар.

20 T his was read by many of the Jews. The place where Jesus was nailed to the cross was near the city. The writing was written in the Hebrew and the Latin and the Greek languages.

Тоя надпис прочетоха мнозина от юдеите, защото мястото гдето разпнаха Исуса беше близо до града, и написаното бе на еврейски, на латински и на гръцки.

21 T hen the head religious leaders of the Jews said to Pilate, “Do not write, ‘The King of the Jews’! Write, ‘He said, I am the King of the Jews.’”

А юдейските главни свещеници казаха на Пилата: Недей писа: юдейски цар, но - Самозваният юдейски цар.

22 P ilate said, “What I have written is to stay just as it is!” They Divided His Clothes

Пилат отговори: Каквото писах, писах.

23 T he soldiers who nailed Jesus to the cross took His clothes and divided them in four parts, each soldier getting one part. But His coat which was not sewed was made in one piece.

А войниците като разпнаха Исуса, взеха дрехите Му и ги разделиха на четири дяла, на всеки войник по един дял; взеха и дрехата. А дрехата не беше шита, а изтъкана цяла от горе <до долу>;

24 T hey said to each other, “Let us not cut it up. Let us draw names to see whose it should be.” This happened as the Holy Writings said it would happen, “They divided My clothes among them and they drew names for My coat.”

затова те рекоха помежду си: Да не я раздираме, а да хвърлим жребие за нея чия да бъде; за да се изпълни написаното, което казва: - "Разделиха си дрехите Ми, И за облеклото Ми хвърлиха жребие". Войниците, прочее, сториха това.

25 T his is what the soldiers did. The Women at the Cross The mother of Jesus and her sister Mary, the wife of Cleophas, were standing near the cross. Mary Magdalene was there also.

А при кръста на Исуса стояха майка Му, и сестрата на майка Му, Мария Клеопова и Мария Магдалина.

26 J esus saw His mother and the follower whom He loved standing near. He said to His mother, “Woman, look at your son.”

А Исус, като видя майка Си и ученика, когото обичаше, който стоеше близо, каза на майка Си: Жено, ето син ти!

27 T hen Jesus said to the follower, “Look at your mother.” From that time the follower took her to his own house. The Death of Jesus

После каза на ученика: Ето майка ти! И от онзи час ученикът я прибра у <дома си>.

28 J esus knew that everything was now finished. Everything happened as the Holy Writings said it would happen. He said, “I am thirsty.”

След това, Исус, като знаеше, че всичко вече е свършено, за да се сбъдне писанието рече: Жаден съм.

29 T here was a jar full of sour wine near. They filled a sponge and put it on a stick and put it to His mouth.

А като беше сложен там съд пълен с оцет, натъкнаха на исопова <тръст> една гъба натопена в оцет, и я поднесоха до устата Му.

30 J esus took the sour wine and said, “It is finished.” He put His head down and gave up His spirit and died. His Bones Were Not Broken

А Исус като прие оцета рече: Свърши се, и наведе глава, и предаде дух.

31 T his was the day before the special religious gathering to remember how the Jews left Egypt. The next day was the Day of Rest and the great day of the religious gathering. The Jews went to Pilate and asked to have the legs of the men broken. They wanted their bodies taken away so they would not be hanging on the crosses on the Day of Rest.

И понеже беше Приготвителният ден, то, за да не останат телата на кръста в съботата, (защото оная събота беше голям <ден>), юдеите помолиха Пилата да им се пребият пищялите, и да ги дигнат оттам.

32 T hen the soldiers came and broke the legs of the first man and of the other one who had been nailed to crosses beside Jesus.

Затова дойдоха войниците и пребиха пищялите на единия и на другия, които бяха разпнати с <Исуса>.

33 T hey came to Jesus. They saw He was already dead so they did not break His legs.

Но когато дойдоха при Исуса и Го видяха вече умрял не Му пребиха пищялите.

34 B ut one of the soldiers pushed a spear into His side. Blood and water ran out.

Обаче, един от войниците прободе с копие ребрата Му; и веднага изтече кръв и вода.

35 T he one who saw it is writing this and what he says is true. He knows he is telling the truth so you may believe.

И тоя, който видя, свидетелствува <за това>, и неговото свидетелство е вярно; и той знае, че говори истината, за да повярвате и вие.

36 T hese things happened as the Holy Writings said they would happen, “Not one of His bones will be broken.”

Защото това стана, за да се изпълни написаното: "Кост Негова няма да се строши";

37 A nd in another place the Holy Writings say, “They will look at Him Whose side they cut.” The Grave of Jesus

и пак на друго място писанието казва: "Ще погледнат на Него, Когото прободоха".

38 J oseph was from the town of Arimathea. He was a follower of Jesus but was afraid of the Jews. So he worshiped without anyone knowing it. He asked Pilate if he could take away the body of Jesus. Pilate said he could. Then Joseph came and took it away.

След това Иосиф от Ариматея, който беше Исусов ученик, но таен, поради страха от юдеите, помоли Пилата да <му позволи> да вземе Исусовото тяло; и Пилат позволи. Той, прочее, дойде та вдигна тялото Му.

39 N icodemus came also. The first time he had come to Jesus had been at night. He brought with him a large box of spices.

Дойде и Никодим, който бе дохождал изпърво при Него нощем, и донесе около сто литри смес от смирна и алой.

40 T hen they took the body of Jesus with the spices and put it in linen cloths. This was the way the Jews made a body ready for the grave.

И тъй, взеха Исусовото тяло и Го обвиха в плащаница с ароматите, според юдейския обичай на погребване.

41 T here was a garden near the place where He had been nailed to the cross. In the garden there was a new grave in the side of the hill. No one had ever been laid there.

А на мястото, гдето бе разпнат, имаше градина, и в градината нов гроб, в който още никой не бе полаган.

42 T his place was near by. Because it was the day the Jews got ready for the special religious gathering, they laid Jesus in it.

Там, прочее, положиха Исуса поради юдейския Приготвителен ден; защото гробът беше наблизо.
