1 A man by the name of Ananias and his wife, Sapphira, sold some land.

А някой си човек на име Анания, с жена си Сапфира, продаде имот,

2 H e kept back part of the money for himself. His wife knew it also. The other part he took to the missionaries.

и задържа <нещо> от цената, със знанието на жена си; и донесе една част и я сложи пред нозете на апостолите.

3 P eter said to Ananias, “Why did you let Satan fill your heart? He made you lie to the Holy Spirit. You kept back part of the money you got from your land.

А Петър рече: Анание, защо изпълни сатана сърцето ти, да излъжеш Светия Дух и да задържиш от цената на нивата?

4 W as not the land yours before you sold it? After it was sold, you could have done what you wanted to do with the money. Why did you allow your heart to do this? You have lied to God, not to men.”

Догдето стоеше <непродадена> не беше ли твоя? И след като се продаде, не бяха ли <парите> в твоя власт? Защо си намислил това нещо в сърцето си? Не си излъгал човеци, но Бога.

5 W hen Ananias heard these words, he fell down dead. Much fear came on all those who heard what was done.

И Анания, като слушаше тия думи, падна и издъхна; и голям страх обзе всички, които чуха това.

6 T he young men got up and covered his body and carried him out and buried him.

И по-младите мъже станаха, обвиха го и го изнесоха та го погребаха.

7 A bout three hours later his wife came in. She did not know what had happened.

И като се минаха около три часа, влезе жена му, без да знае за станалото.

8 P eter said to her, “Tell me, did you sell the land for this amount of money?” She said, “Yes.”

И Петър я попита: Кажи ми за толкова ли продадохте нивата? И тя рече: За толкова.

9 T hen Peter said to her, “How could you two have talked together about lying to the Holy Spirit? See! Those who buried your husband are standing at the door and they will carry you out also.”

А Петър <й рече>: Защо се съгласихте да изкусите Господния Дух? Ето нозете на тия, които погребаха мъжа ти, са на вратата, и ще изнесат и тебе.

10 A t once she fell down at his feet and died. When the young men came in, they found that she was dead. They took her out and buried her beside her husband.

И тя на часа падна до нозете му и издъхна; а момците, като влязоха, намериха я мъртва, и изнесоха я, та я погребаха до мъжа й.

11 M uch fear came on all the church and on all who heard it. The First Church Grows

И голям страх обзе цялата църква и всички, които чуха това.

12 T he missionaries did many powerful works among the people. They gathered together on Solomon’s Porch.

И чрез ръцете на апостолите ставаха много знамения и чудеса между людете, (и те всички бяха единодушно в Соломоновия трем;

13 N o one from outside their own group came in with them because they were afraid. But those outside the church had respect for the followers.

а от другите никой не смееше да се присъедини към тях; людете, обаче, ги величаеха;

14 M any more men and women put their trust in Christ and were added to the group.

и още по-голямо множество повярвали в Господа мъже и жени се прибавяха),

15 T hey brought the sick people and laid them on the streets hoping that if Peter walked by, his shadow would fall on some of them.

така щото даже изнасяха болните по улиците и ги слагаха на постелки и на легла, та, като заминаваше Петър, поне сянката му да засегне някого от тях.

16 M any people went into Jerusalem from towns nearby. They took with them their sick people and all who were troubled with demons. All of them were healed. The Missionaries Are Put in Prison

Събираше се още и множество от градовете около Ерусалим та носеха болни и измъчваните от нечистите духове; и всички се изцеляваха.

17 T he head religious leader heard this. Some of the religious group who believe no one will be raised from the dead also heard of the people being healed. They became very jealous.

Тогава станаха първосвещеникът и всички, които бяха с него, съставляващи садукейската секта, та, изпълнени със завист,

18 T hey took hold of the missionaries and put them in prison.

туриха ръце на апостолите и положиха ги в общата тъмница.

19 A n angel of the Lord opened the doors of the prison in the night and let them out. The angel said to them,

Но ангел от Господа през нощта отвори вратата на тъмницата та ги изведе и рече:

20 “ Go, stand where you have been standing in the house of God. Keep on telling the people about this new life.”

Идете, застанете в храма та говорете на людете всичките думи на тоя живот.

21 W hen Peter and John heard this, they went in the house of God early in the morning and began to teach. When the head religious leader and those with him had come, they gathered the men of the court and the leaders of the Jews together. Then they sent to have the missionaries brought to them from the prison.

Те, като чуха <това>, на съмване влязоха в храма и поучаваха. А първосвещеникът дойде с ония, които бяха с него и, като свикаха синедриона и цялото старейшинство на израилтяните, пратиха в тъмницата да доведат <апостолите>.

22 W hen the soldiers got there, they did not find them in prison. They went back and told the court.

Но служителите, като отидоха, не ги намериха в тъмницата; и върнаха се та известиха, казвайки:

23 T he soldiers said, “We found the door of the prison locked and the soldiers watching the doors. When we opened the door, we found no one inside.”

Тъмницата намерихме заключена твърде здраво, и стражарите да стоят при вратата; но като отворихме, не намерихме никого вътре.

24 W hen the religious leaders and the leader of the house of God heard this, they were much troubled as to what might happen.

А началникът на храмовата <стража> и главните свещеници като чуха тия думи, бяха в недоумение поради тях, <та се чудеха> какво ще последва от това.

25 T hen someone came and told them, “The men you put in prison are now standing in the house of God and teaching the people.”

Но дойде някой си та им извести: Ето човеците, които турихте в тъмницата, стоят в храма и поучават людете.

26 T he leader of the house of God took his men and got them. They did not hurt the missionaries because they were afraid the people would throw stones at them.

Тогава отиде началникът със служителите и ги доведе, <обаче>, без насилие, защото се бояха от людете, да не би да ги замерват с камъни.

27 T hey brought the missionaries in and made them stand in front of the court. The head religious leader said,

И като ги доведоха, поставиха ги пред синедриона; и първосвещеникът ги попита, казвайки:

28 “ We told you not to teach about Christ! See! You are spreading this teaching over all Jerusalem. Now you are making it look as if we are guilty of killing this Man.” The Missionaries Speak the Truth

Строго ви запретихме да не поучавате в това име; но ето напълнили сте Ерусалим с учението си, и възнамерявате да докарате върху нас кръвта на тоя човек.

29 T hen Peter and the missionaries said, “We must obey God instead of men!

А Петър и апостолите в отговор рекоха: Подобава да се покоряваме на Бога, а не на човеците.

30 T he God of our early fathers raised up Jesus, the One you killed and nailed to a cross.

Бог на бащите ни възкреси Исуса, Когото вие убихте като Го повесихте на дърво.

31 G od raised this Man to His own right side as a leader and as the One Who saves from the punishment of sin. He makes it possible for the Jews to be sorry for their sins. Then they can turn from them and be forgiven.

Него Бог възвиси до десницата Си за Началник и Спасител, да даде покаяние на Израиля и прощение на греховете.

32 W e have seen these things and are telling about them. The Holy Spirit makes these things known also. God gives His Spirit to those who obey Him.” Gamaliel Speaks in Court

И ние сме свидетели за тия неща, <както е> и Светият Дух, когото Бог даде на ония, които Му се покоряват.

33 T he religious leaders became angry when they heard this. They planned to kill the missionaries.

А те, като чуха това, късаха се <от яд>, и възнамеряваха да ги убият.

34 G amaliel was a man of the religious leaders’ court. He was a proud religious law-keeper and a teacher of the Law. He was respected by all the people. He stood up and said that the missionaries should be sent outside for a short time.

Но един фарисей, на име Гамалиил, законоучител, почитан от всички люде, се изправи в синедриона и заповяда да извадят вън апостолите за малко време;

35 T hen Gamaliel said to the court, “Jewish men, be careful what you plan to do with these men.

и рече на събора: Израилтяни, внимавайте добре какво ще направите на тия човеци.

36 R emember that many years ago a man called Theudas made himself out to be someone great. He had about 400 followers. He was killed. His followers were divided and nothing came of his teaching.

Защото в предишни дни въстана Тевда и представяше себе си за голям човек, към когото се присъединиха около четиристотин мъже на брой; който биде убит, и всички, които му се покоряваха, се разпиляха и изчезнаха.

37 A fter him, Judas of the country of Galilee gathered many followers. It was the time for every person to have his name written in the books of the nation. This Judas was killed also. All his followers were divided and went away.

След него въстана галилеянинът Юда през времето на записването, и отвлече след себе си <някои от> людете; и той загина, и всички, които му се покоряваха, се разпръснаха.

38 I say to you now, stay away from these men and leave them alone. If this teaching and work is from men, it will come to nothing.

И сега ви казвам, оттеглете се от тия човеци и оставете ги, защото, ако това намерение или това дело е от човеци, ще се повали;

39 I f it is from God, you will not be able to stop it. You may even find yourselves fighting against God.”

но ако е от Бога, не ще можете го повали. <Пазете се> да не би да се намерите и богопротивници.

40 T he court agreed with Gamaliel. So they called the missionaries in and beat them. They told them they must not speak in the name of Jesus. Then they were sent away.

И те го послушаха: и, като повикаха апостолите, биха ги, и заръчаха им да не говорят в Исусовото име, и ги пуснаха.

41 S o the missionaries went away from the court happy that they could suffer shame because of His Name.

А те си отидоха от синедриона, възрадвани загдето се удостоиха да претърпят опозоряване за <Исусовото> име.

42 E very day in the house of God and in the homes, they kept teaching and preaching about Jesus Christ.

И ни един ден не преставаха да поучават и да благовествуват и в храма и по къщите си, че Исус е Христос.
