1 J esus told them a picture-story to show that men should always pray and not give up.

Желая показать ученикам, что следует всегда молиться и не унывать, Иисус рассказал им такую притчу.

2 H e said, “There was a man in one of the cities who was head of the court. His work was to say if a person was guilty or not. This man was not afraid of God. He did not respect any man.

– В одном городе был судья, который не боялся Бога и не стыдился людей.

3 I n that city there was a woman whose husband had died. She kept coming to him and saying, ‘Help me! There is someone who is working against me.’

В том же городе жила вдова, которая постоянно ходила к нему и умоляла: «Защити меня от моего противника».

4 F or awhile he would not help her. Then he began to think, ‘I am not afraid of God and I do not respect any man.

Некоторое время судья ей отказывал, но в конце концов решил: «Пусть я Бога не боюсь и с людьми не считаюсь,

5 B ut I will see that this woman whose husband has died gets her rights because I get tired of her coming all the time.’”

но так как эта вдова постоянно надоедает мне, то я разрешу ее тяжбу, иначе она замучит меня своими просьбами».

6 T hen the Lord said, “Listen to the words of the sinful man who is head of the court.

И Господь сказал: – Слышите, что сказал несправедливый судья?

7 W ill not God make the things that are right come to His chosen people who cry day and night to Him? Will He wait a long time to help them?

Так неужели Бог не защитит Своих избранных, которые взывают к Нему день и ночь? Неужели Он будет медлить с помощью?

8 I tell you, He will be quick to help them. But when the Son of Man comes, will He find faith on the earth? ” The Picture-Story of the Proud Religious Law-Keepers and the Tax-Gatherers

Говорю вам: Он без промедления защитит их. Но когда Сын Человеческий придет, то найдет ли Он веру на земле? Притча о фарисее и сборщике налогов

9 J esus told another picture-story to some people who trusted in themselves and thought they were right with God. These people did not think well of other men.

Тем, кто был уверен в собственной праведности и с презрением смотрел на других, Иисус рассказал такую притчу:

10 J esus said, “Two men went up to the house of God to pray. One of them was a proud religious law-keeper. The other was a man who gathered taxes.

– Два человека пришли во двор храма помолиться. Один из них был фарисей, а другой – сборщик налогов.

11 T he proud religious law-keeper stood and prayed to himself like this, ‘God, I thank You that I am not like other men. I am not like those who steal. I am not like those who do things that are wrong. I am not like those who do sex sins. I am not even like this tax-gatherer.

Фарисей, встав, молился о себе так: «Боже, благодарю Тебя, что я не такой, как другие люди: воры, мошенники, неверные супруги или как этот сборщик налогов.

12 I go without food two times a week so I can pray better. I give one-tenth part of the money I earn.’

Я пощусь два раза в неделю и даю десятину со всякого дохода».

13 B ut the man who gathered taxes stood a long way off. He would not even lift his eyes to heaven. But he hit himself on his chest and said, ‘God, have pity on me! I am a sinner!’

А сборщик налогов, стоя вдали, не смел даже глаз к небу поднять, но бил себя в грудь и говорил: «Боже, будь милостив ко мне, грешнику».

14 I tell you, this man went back to his house forgiven, and not the other man. For whoever makes himself look more important than he is will find out how little he is worth. Whoever does not try to honor himself will be made important.” Jesus Gives Thanks for Little Children

Говорю вам, что именно этот человек пошел домой оправданным перед Богом, а не первый. Потому что каждый, возвышающий себя, будет унижен, а каждый принижающий себя будет возвышен. Иисус благословляет детей (Мат. 19: 13-15; Мк. 10: 13-16)

15 P eople took their little children to Jesus so He could put His hand on them. When His followers saw it, they spoke sharp words to the people.

К Иисусу приносили даже младенцев, чтобы Он прикоснулся к ним и благословил. Ученики же, увидев это, не подпускали их.

16 J esus called the followers to Him and said, “Let the little children come to Me. Do not try to stop them. The holy nation of God is made up of ones like these.

Но Иисус подозвал их к Себе и сказал: – Пусть дети приходят ко Мне, не запрещайте им, потому что Царство Бога принадлежит таким, как они.

17 F or sure, I tell you, whoever does not receive the holy nation of God as a child will not go into the holy nation.” Jesus Teaches about Keeping the Law

Говорю вам истину: кто не примет Божье Царство, как ребенок, тот не войдет в него. Разговор Иисуса с богатым начальником (Мат. 19: 16-29; Мк. 10: 17-30)

18 A leader of the people asked Jesus, “Good Teacher, what must I do to have life that lasts forever?”

Один начальник спросил Его: – Благой Учитель, что мне делать, чтобы наследовать вечную жизнь?

19 J esus said to him, “Why do you call Me good? There is only One Who is good. That is God.

– Почему ты называешь Меня благим? – ответил Иисус. – Никто не благ, кроме одного Бога.

20 Y ou know the Laws. You must not do any sex sins. You must not kill another person. You must not steal. You must not tell a lie about someone else. Respect your father and your mother.”

Ты знаешь заповеди: «не нарушай супружескую верность», «не убивай», «не кради», «не давай ложных свидетельств», «почитай отца и мать».

21 T he leader said, “I have obeyed all these Laws since I was a boy.”

– Все это я соблюдаю еще с дней моей юности, – сказал он.

22 W hen Jesus heard this, He said to the leader of the people, “There is still one thing you need to do. Sell everything you have. Give the money to poor people. Then you will have riches in heaven. Come and follow Me.”

Услышав это, Иисус сказал ему: – Одного тебе еще не хватает. Продай все, что у тебя есть, и раздай деньги бедным, и тогда у тебя будет сокровище на небесах. Потом приходи и следуй за Мной.

23 W hen the leader heard this, he was very sad because he had many riches.

Когда начальник услышал это, он опечалился, потому что был очень богат.

24 W hen Jesus saw that he was very sad, He said, “It is hard for those with riches to go into the holy nation of God!

Иисус посмотрел на него и сказал: – Как трудно богатым войти в Божье Царство!

25 I t is easier for a camel to go through the eye of a needle than for a rich man to go into the holy nation of God.”

Легче верблюду пройти сквозь игольное ушко, чем богатому войти в Божье Царство.

26 T hose who heard this, said, “Then who can be saved from the punishment of sin?”

Те, кто это слышал, спросили: – Кто же тогда вообще может быть спасен?

27 J esus said, “God can do things men cannot do.”

Иисус ответил: – Невозможное человеку возможно Богу.

28 T hen Peter said, “See, we have left everything and have followed You.”

Тогда Петр сказал: – Вот, мы оставили все, что у нас было, и пошли за Тобой!

29 J esus said to them, “For sure, I tell you, anyone who has left his house or parents or brothers or wife or children because of the holy nation of God

Иисус сказал им: – Говорю вам истину: каждый, кто оставил дом или жену, или братьев, или родителей, или детей ради Божьего Царства,

30 w ill receive much more now. In the time to come he will have life that lasts forever.” Jesus Tells of His Death the Third Time

получит во много раз больше в этой жизни, а в будущем – жизнь вечную. Иисус в третий раз говорит о Своей смерти и воскресении (Мат. 20: 17-19; Мк. 10: 32-34)

31 T hen Jesus took the twelve followers to one side and said, “See! We are going up to Jerusalem. All the things the early preachers wrote about the Son of Man are going to happen.

Иисус отвел двенадцать учеников в сторону и сказал им: – Вот, мы восходим в Иерусалим, и там исполнится все, написанное пророками о Сыне Человеческом.

32 H e will be given over to the people who are not Jews. He will be made fun of. He will be hurt. He will be spit on.

Он будет отдан язычникам, те будут глумиться над Ним, унижать Его, плевать в Него,

33 T hey will beat Him and kill Him. After three days He will be raised again.”

бичевать и затем убьют. Но на третий день Он воскреснет.

34 T he followers did not understand these words. The meaning of these words was hidden from them. They did not know what He said. Healing of the Blind Man

Ученики ничего из этого не поняли; все, что Он сказал, было для них закрыто, и они не догадывались, что Он имел в виду. Иисус исцеляет слепого нищего (Мат. 20: 29-34; Мк. 10: 46-52)

35 J esus was coming near Jericho. A blind man was sitting by the side of the road, begging.

Когда Иисус подходил к Иерихону, у дороги сидел слепой и просил милостыню.

36 H e heard many people going by and asked what was happening.

Услышав, что мимо идет толпа, он спросил, что происходит.

37 T hey told him that Jesus of Nazareth was going by.

– Идет Иисус из Назарета, – сказали ему.

38 T hen he cried out and said, “Jesus, Son of David, have pity on me.”

Тогда слепой закричал: – Иисус, Сын Давида! Сжалься надо мной!

39 T he people spoke sharp words to him and told him not to call out. But he cried out all the more, “Son of David, have pity on me.”

Те, что шли впереди, стали говорить, чтобы он замолчал, но слепой кричал еще громче: – Сын Давида, сжалься надо мной!

40 J esus stopped and told the people to bring the blind man to Him. When the man was near, Jesus asked,

Иисус остановился и велел, чтобы этого человека подвели к Нему. Когда тот подошел, Иисус спросил его:

41 “ What do you want Me to do for you?” He answered, “Lord, I want to see.”

– Что ты хочешь, чтобы Я сделал для тебя? – Господи, я хочу видеть, – ответил слепой.

42 J esus said to him, “Then see! Your faith has healed you.”

Иисус сказал ему: – Прозри! Твоя вера исцелила тебя!

43 A t once he could see. He followed Jesus and gave thanks to God. All the people gave thanks to God when they saw it.

Слепой сразу же обрел зрение и пошел за Иисусом, славя Бога. И весь народ, увидев это, восхвалял Бога.
