1 T he Lord says, “For three sins of Moab and for four, I will not hold back punishment. He burned the bones of the king of Edom to ashes.

Так говорит Господь: – За три греха Моава, и за четыре, не отвращу Мой гнев. За то, что он пережег в известь кости царя Эдома.

2 S o I will send fire upon Moab, and it will destroy the strong-places of Kerioth. Moab will die among much noise, with cries of war and the sound of a horn.

Я пошлю огонь на Моав, он пожрет крепости Кериота. И погибнет Моав среди смуты, среди криков боевых, при звуке рога.

3 I will kill the ruler of Moab and all his sons with him,” says the Lord. Judah

Я правителя его погублю, а с ним убью и его приближенных, – говорит Господь.

4 T he Lord says, “For three sins of Judah and for four, I will not hold back punishment. They turned away from the Law of the Lord. They have not obeyed His Laws. They have gone the wrong way, following the lies of their fathers.

Так говорит Господь: – За три греха Иудеи, и за четыре, не отвращу Мой гнев. За то, что они отвергли Закон Господа и установлений Его не сохранили, что лжебоги, за которыми ходили их предки, сбили их с пути –

5 S o I will send fire upon Judah, and it will destroy the strong-places of Jerusalem.” God Judges Israel

Я пошлю огонь на Иудею, и он пожрет крепости Иерусалима. Суд над Израилем

6 T he Lord says, “For three sins of Israel and for four, I will not hold back punishment. They sell those who are right and good for money. To get shoes, they sell people who are in need.

Так говорит Господь: – За три греха Израиля, и за четыре, Я не отвращу Мой гнев. Они продают праведного за серебро, и нуждающегося – за пару сандалий.

7 T hey crush those who are poor in the dust of the earth with their feet. They push the poor out of the way. A man and his father go to the same girl and sin against My holy name.

Они попирают головы бедных как земную пыль, и отталкивают кротких. Отец и сын спят с одной и той же девицей, оскверняя Мое святое Имя.

8 T hey lie down beside every altar on clothing taken as trust for promises. And in the house of their God they drink the wine which was paid by those who have done wrong.

На одежде, взятой в залог, они возлежат у каждого жертвенника. Они пьют вино, взятое с обвиненных, в доме их бога.

9 “ I destroyed the Amorite before them, who was as tall as the cedar trees and as strong as the oaks. I destroyed his fruit above and his root below.

Я погубил перед ними аморрея, хотя он был высок, как кедр, и крепок, как дуб. Я погубил плод его вверху и корни его внизу.

10 I brought you up from the land of Egypt and led you in the desert for forty years to give you the land of the Amorite.

Я вывел вас из Египта и водил вас сорок лет по пустыне, чтобы дать вам землю аморреев.

11 T hen I raised up some of your sons to speak for Me, and some of your young men to be Nazirites. Is this not true, you sons of Israel?” says the Lord.

Еще Я воздвигал пророков из ваших сыновей и назореев из ваших юношей. Разве это не так, народ Израиля? – возвещает Господь. –

12 “ But you made the Nazirites drink wine. And you told the men who speak for Me not to speak.

Но вы заставляли назореев пить вино и приказывали пророкам, говоря: «Не пророчествуйте».

13 N ow I will crush you down like a wagon is crushed under a heavy load of grain.

И вот, Я раздавлю вас, как давит повозка, нагруженная снопами –

14 E ven the fast man will not get away. The strong man will not keep his strength. And the powerful man will not save his life.

быстрый не ускользнет, сильный не соберется с силами и воин не спасет свою жизнь.

15 H e who uses the bow will not stand. The fast runner will not get away. The horseman will not save his life.

Лучник не устоит, быстроногий воин не скроется и всадник не спасет свою жизнь.

16 E ven the strongest of heart among the men of war will run away without clothes on that day,” says the Lord.

Даже храбрейшие воины убегут нагими в тот день, – возвещает Господь.
