1 C hristian brothers, you have been chosen and set apart by God. So let us think about Jesus. He is the One God sent and He is the Religious Leader of our Christian faith.

Поэтому вы, святые братья, призванные Небом, смотрите на Иисуса, Посланника и Первосвященника, Которого мы исповедуем.

2 J esus was faithful in God’s house just as Moses was faithful in all of God’s house.

Он был верен Поручившему Ему служение так же, как и Моисей был верен во всем доме Божьем.

3 T he man who builds a house gets more honor than the house. That is why Jesus gets more honor than Moses.

Иисус, однако, удостоен большей славы, чем Моисей, так же, как и строителю дома оказывается больше чести, чем самому дому.

4 E very house is built by someone. And God is the One Who has built everything.

Конечно, у каждого дома есть свой строитель, Бог же – строитель всего.

5 M oses was a faithful servant owned by God in God’s house. He spoke of the things that would be told about later on.

Моисей был верным служителем во всем доме Божьем, и его служение указывало на то, что должно было быть возвещено в будущем.

6 B ut Christ was faithful as a Son Who is Head of God’s house. We are of God’s house if we keep our trust in the Lord until the end. This is our hope.

А Христос как верный Сын управляет домом Божьим. И дом Его – мы, если сохраним до конца смелость и надежду, которой хвалимся. Предостережение о неверии

7 T he Holy Spirit says, “If you hear His voice today,

Поэтому, как говорит Святой Дух: «Сегодня, если услышите Его голос,

8 d o not let your hearts become hard as your early fathers did when they turned against Me. It was at that time in the desert when they put Me to the test.

то не ожесточайте ваших сердец, как вы делали это при вашем восстании, в день испытания в пустыне,

9 Y our early fathers tempted Me and tried Me. They saw the work I did for forty years.

где испытывали и проверяли Меня ваши отцы, хотя и видели Мои дела на протяжении сорока лет.

10 F or this reason, I was angry with the people of this day. And I said to them, ‘They always think wrong thoughts. They have never understood what I have tried to do for them.’

Поэтому Я и гневался на это поколение и сказал: “Сердца их всегда заблуждаются, они не знают Моих путей.

11 I was angry with them and said to Myself, ‘They will never go into My rest.’”

Поэтому Я поклялся в гневе Моем: они не войдут в Мой покой!”».

12 C hristian brothers, be careful that not one of you has a heart so bad that it will not believe and will turn away from the living God.

Братья, берегитесь, чтобы ни у кого из вас сердце не стало злым и неверным и чтобы оно не отвернулось от живого Бога.

13 H elp each other. Speak day after day to each other while it is still today so your heart will not become hard by being fooled by sin.

Ободряйте друг друга каждый день, пока это слово «сегодня» будет иметь еще к нам отношение, чтобы грех никого не ввел в обольщение, и не ожесточил кого-либо из вас.

14 F or we belong to Christ if we keep on trusting Him to the end just as we trusted Him at first.

Мы стали сотоварищами Христа, если только мы до конца сохраним нашу твердую веру, которую мы имели вначале.

15 T he Holy Writings say, “If you hear His voice today, do not let your hearts become hard as your early fathers did when they turned against Me.”

Об этом сказано так: «Сегодня, если услышите Его голос, то не ожесточайте ваших сердец, как вы это делали при вашем восстании».

16 W ho heard God’s voice and turned against Him? Did not all those who were led out of the country of Egypt by Moses?

Кто же были эти мятежники? Не все ли те, кто вышел из Египта под руководством Моисея?

17 W ho made God angry for forty years? Was it not those people who had sinned in the desert? Was it not those who died and were buried there?

На кого гневался Бог в течение сорока лет? Разве не на тех, кто согрешал и чьи тела пали в пустыне?

18 W ho did He say could never go into His rest? Was it not those who did not obey Him?

Кому Бог клялся в том, что они не войдут в Его покой? Разве не тем, кто не был Ему послушен?

19 S o we can see that they were not able to go into His rest because they did not put their trust in Him.

И мы видим, что они не могли войти из-за своего неверия.
