1 C hristian brothers, you have been chosen and set apart by God. So let us think about Jesus. He is the One God sent and He is the Religious Leader of our Christian faith.

Deaceea, fraţi sfinţi, cari aveţi parte de chemarea cerească, aţintiţi-vă privirile la Apostolul şi Marele Preot al mărturisirii noastre, adică Isus,

2 J esus was faithful in God’s house just as Moses was faithful in all of God’s house.

care a fost credincios Celuice L -a rînduit, cum şi Moise a fost,, credincios în toată casa lui Dumnezeu.``

3 T he man who builds a house gets more honor than the house. That is why Jesus gets more honor than Moses.

Căci El a fost găsit vrednic să aibă o slavă cu atît mai mare decît a lui Moise, cu cît celce a zidit o casă are mai multă cinste decît casa însăş. -

4 E very house is built by someone. And God is the One Who has built everything.

Orice casă este zidită de cineva, dar Celce a zidit toate lucrurile, este Dumnezeu. -

5 M oses was a faithful servant owned by God in God’s house. He spoke of the things that would be told about later on.

Cît despre Moise, el a fost,, credincios în toată casa lui Dumnezeu``, ca slugă, ca să mărturisească despre lucrurile, cari aveau să fie vestite mai tîrziu.

6 B ut Christ was faithful as a Son Who is Head of God’s house. We are of God’s house if we keep our trust in the Lord until the end. This is our hope.

Dar Hristos este credincios ca Fiu, peste casa lui Dumnezeu. Şi casa Lui sîntem noi, dacă păstrăm pînă la sfîrşit încrederea nezguduită şi nădejdea cu care ne lăudăm.

7 T he Holy Spirit says, “If you hear His voice today,

Deaceea, cum zice Duhul Sfînt:,, Astăzi, dacă auziţi glasul Lui,

8 d o not let your hearts become hard as your early fathers did when they turned against Me. It was at that time in the desert when they put Me to the test.

nu vă împietriţi inimile, ca în ziua răzvrătirii, ca în ziua ispitirii în pustie,

9 Y our early fathers tempted Me and tried Me. They saw the work I did for forty years.

unde părinţii voştri M'au ispitit, şi M'au pus la încercare, şi au văzut lucrările Mele patruzeci de ani!

10 F or this reason, I was angry with the people of this day. And I said to them, ‘They always think wrong thoughts. They have never understood what I have tried to do for them.’

De aceea M'am desgustat de neamul acesta, şi am zis:,, Ei totdeauna se rătăcesc în inima lor. N'au cunoscut căile Mele!

11 I was angry with them and said to Myself, ‘They will never go into My rest.’”

Am jurat dar în mînia Mea că nu vor intra în odihna Mea!``

12 C hristian brothers, be careful that not one of you has a heart so bad that it will not believe and will turn away from the living God.

Luaţi seama dar, fraţilor, ca niciunul dintre voi să n'aibă o inimă rea şi necredincioasă, care să vă despartă de Dumnezeul cel viu.

13 H elp each other. Speak day after day to each other while it is still today so your heart will not become hard by being fooled by sin.

Ci îndemnaţi-vă unii pe alţii în fiecare zi, cîtă vreme se zice:,, Astăzi,`` pentruca niciunul din voi să nu se împietrească prin înşelăciunea păcatului.

14 F or we belong to Christ if we keep on trusting Him to the end just as we trusted Him at first.

Căci ne-am făcut părtaşi ai lui Hristos, dacă păstrăm pînă la sfîrşit încrederea nezguduită dela început,

15 T he Holy Writings say, “If you hear His voice today, do not let your hearts become hard as your early fathers did when they turned against Me.”

cîtă vreme se zice:,, Astăzi, dacă auziţi glasul Lui, nu vă împietriţi inimile, ca în ziua răzvrătirii.``

16 W ho heard God’s voice and turned against Him? Did not all those who were led out of the country of Egypt by Moses?

Cine au fost, în adevăr, ceice s'au răzvrătit dupăce auziseră? N'au fost oare toţi aceia, cari ieşiseră din Egipt prin Moise?

17 W ho made God angry for forty years? Was it not those people who had sinned in the desert? Was it not those who died and were buried there?

Şi cine au fost aceia de cari S'a desgustat El patruzeci de ani? N'au fost oare ceice păcătuiseră, şi ale căror trupuri moarte au căzut în pustie?

18 W ho did He say could never go into His rest? Was it not those who did not obey Him?

Şi cui S'a jurat El că n'au să intre în odihna Lui? Nu S'a jurat oare celorce nu ascultaseră?

19 S o we can see that they were not able to go into His rest because they did not put their trust in Him.

Vedem dar că n'au putut să intre din pricina necredinţei lor.
