1 T hen the Lord said to Moses,

Domnul a vorbit lui Moise, şi a zis:

2 “ Tell the people of Israel, ‘When you go into the land of Canaan, this is the land that will be given to you, all the land of Canaan.

Dă porunca aceasta copiilor lui Israel, şi spune-le:, Cînd veţi intra în ţara Canaanului, ţara aceasta va fi moştenirea voastră, ţara Canaanului, ale cărei hotare iată-le:

3 Y our south side will be from the Desert of Zin along the side of Edom. It will go east from the end of the Salt Sea.

Hotarul din partea de miazăzi va începe din pustia Ţin, lîngă Edom. Astfel, hotarul vostru de miază zi va începe dela marginea mării Sărate, spre răsărit;

4 T hen the side of your land will turn from the south up to the pass of Akrabbim and on to Zin. Its end will be south of Kadesh-barnea. It will go to Hazaraddar and on to Azmon.

se va întoarce la miază zi de înălţimea Acrabim, va trece prin Ţin, şi se va întinde pînă la miazăzi de Cades-Barnea; va urma mai departe prin Haţar-Adar, şi va trece spre Aţmon:

5 T hen it will turn from Azmon to the river of Egypt, and will end at the sea.

dela Aţmon, se va întoarce pînă la pîrîul Egiptului, şi va ieşi la mare.

6 ‘ The west side of your land will be the shore of the Great Sea.

Hotarul vostru dinspre apus va fi Marea cea Mare (Mediterana): aceasta va fi hotarul vostru la apus.

7 ‘ Your north side will be from the Great Sea to Mount Hor.

Iată care va fi hotarul vostru spre miază-noapte: începînd dela Marea cea Mare să trageţi hotarul pînă la muntele Hor;

8 A nd it will go from Mount Hor to the Lebohamath, and end at Zedad.

dela muntele Hor, să -l trageţi prin Hamat, şi să ajungă pînă la Ţedad;

9 T hen it will go to Ziphron and end at Hazer-enan. This will be the north side.

să urmeze mai departe prin Zifron, ca să ajungă la Haţar-Enan: acesta să vă fie hotarul înspre miază noapte.

10 ‘ The east side of your land will be from Hazer-enan to Shepham,

Să vă trageţi hotarul spre răsărit dela Haţar-Enan pînă la Şefam;

11 t hen down from Shepham to Riblah on the east side of Ain. Then it will go down to the hill on the east side of the Sea of Chinnereth.

să se pogoare din Şefam spre Ribla, la răsărit de Ain; se va pogorî, şi se va întinde dealungul mării Chineret (Ghenezaret), la răsărit;

12 I t will go down to the Jordan and end at the Salt Sea. This will be the sides all around your land.’”

se va pogorî iarăş spre Iordan, ca să ajungă la marea Sărată. Aceasta va fi ţara voastră, cu hotarele ei de jur împrejur.``

13 M oses told the people of Israel, “This is the land you will receive by drawing names, which the Lord has said should be given to the nine and a half-family groups.

Moise a dat porunca aceasta copiilor lui Israel, şi a zis:,, Aceasta este ţara pe care o veţi împărţi prin sorţi, şi pe care a poruncit Domnul s'o dea celor nouă seminţii şi jumătate.

14 F or the sons of Reuben have received their land by their fathers’ houses. The sons of Gad have received theirs by their fathers’ houses. And the half-family group of Manasseh has received their land.

Căci seminţia fiilor lui Ruben, după casele lor părinteşti, şi seminţia fiilor lui Gad, după casele părinţilor lor, precum şi jumătate din seminţia lui Manase şi-au luat moştenirea.

15 T he two and a half-family groups have received their land on the other side of the Jordan from Jericho, toward the east.”

Aceste două seminţii şi jumătate şi-au luat moştenirea dincoace de Iordan, în faţa Ierihonului, în spre răsărit.``

16 T he Lord said to Moses,

Domnul a vorbit lui Moise, şi a zis:

17 “ Eleazar the religious leader and Joshua the son of Nun are the men who will divide the land to be given to you.

Iată numele bărbaţilor cari vor împărţi ţara între voi: preotul Eleazar, şi Iosua, fiul lui Nun.

18 A nd take one leader of every family group to divide the land among you.

Să mai luaţi cîte o căpetenie din fiecare seminţie, ca să facă împărţirea ţării.

19 T hese are the names of the men. Take Caleb the son of Jephunneh of the family group of Judah.

Iată numele bărbaţilor acestora. Pentru seminţia lui Iuda: Caleb, fiul lui Iefune;

20 T ake Samuel the son of Ammihud of the family group of the sons of Simeon.

pentru seminţia fiilor lui Simeon: Samuel, fiul lui Amihud;

21 T ake Elidad the son of Chislon of the family group of Benjamin.

pentru seminţia lui Beniamin: Elidad, fiul lui Chislon;

22 T ake Bukki the son of Jogli as the leader of the family group of the sons of Dan.

pentru seminţia fiilor lui Dan: căpetenia Buchi, fiul lui Iogli;

23 O f the sons of Joseph, take Hanniel the son of Ephod as the leader of the family group of the sons of Manasseh.

pentru fiii lui Iosif, -pentru seminţia fiilor lui Manase: căpetenia Haniel, fiul lui Efod; -

24 T ake Kemuel the son of Shiphtan as the leader of the family group of the sons of Ephraim.

şi pentru seminţia fiilor lui Efraim: căpetenia Chemuel, fiul lui Şiftan;

25 T ake Elizaphan the son of Parnach as the leader of the family group of the sons of Zebulun.

pentru seminţia fiilor lui Zabulon: căpetenia Eliţafan, fiul lui Parnac;

26 T ake Paltiel the son of Azzan as the leader of the family group of the sons of Issachar.

pentru seminţia fiilor lui Isahar: căpetenia Paltiel, fiul lui Azan;

27 T ake Ahihud the son of Shelomi as the leader of the family group of the sons of Asher.

pentru seminţia fiilor lui Aşer: căpetenia Ahihud, fiul lui Şelomi;

28 A nd take Pedahel the son of Ammihud as the leader of the family group of the sons of Naphtali.”

pentru seminţia fiilor lui Neftali: căpetenia Pedahel, fiul lui Amihud.``

29 T hese are the men whom the Lord told to divide the land among the people of Israel in the land of Canaan.

Aceştia sînt aceia cărora le -a poruncit Domnul să împartă ţara Canaanului între copiii lui Israel.
