1 A s He was teaching and preaching the Good News, the religious leaders and the teachers of the Law and the elders came.

Într'una din acele zile, cînd învăţa Isus norodul în Templu şi propovăduia Evanghelia, au venit deodată la El preoţii cei mai de seamă şi cărturarii, cu bătrînii,

2 T hey said to Him, “Tell us, by what right and power are You doing these things? Who gave You the right and the power?”

şi I-au zis:,, Spune-ne, cu ce putere faci Tu aceste lucruri, sau cine Ţi -a dat puterea aceasta?``

3 J esus said to them, “I will ask you one question also. You answer Me.

Drept răspuns, El le -a zis:,, Am să vă pun şi Eu o întrebare. Spuneţi-Mi:

4 W as the baptism of John from heaven or from men?”

Botezul lui Ioan venea din cer sau dela oameni?``

5 T hey said to themselves, “If we say, ‘From heaven,’ He will say, ‘Then why did you not believe him?’

Dar ei cugetau astfel între ei:,, Dacă răspundem:, Din cer`, va zice:, Atunci dece nu l-aţi crezut?`

6 B ut if we say, ‘From men,’ then all the people will throw stones at us because they believe John was one who spoke for God.”

Şi dacă răspundem:, Dela oameni`, tot norodul ne va ucide cu pietre; căci este încredinţat că Ioan era un prooroc.``

7 T hey said that they did not know where John’s baptism came from.

Atunci au răspuns că nu ştiu de unde venea botezul lui Ioan.

8 J esus said to them, “And I will not tell you where I get the right and the power to do these things.” The Picture-Story of the Grape-Field

Şi Isus le -a zis:,, Nici Eu n'am să vă spun cu ce putere fac aceste lucruri.``

9 J esus began to tell the people a picture-story, saying, “There was a man who planted a grape-field. He rented it to farmers. Then he went to a country far away for a long time.

Apoi a început să spună norodului pilda aceasta:,, Un om a sădit o vie, a arendat -o unor vieri şi a plecat într'o altă ţară, pentru o vreme îndelungată.

10 A t the time of gathering fruit he sent one of his servants to the farmers to get some of the fruit. But the farmers beat him and sent him away without fruit.

La vremea rodurilor, a trimes la vieri un rob, ca să -i dea partea lui din rodul viei. Vierii l-au bătut, şi l-au trimes înapoi cu mînile goale.

11 H e sent another servant. The farmers beat him also. They made it very hard for him and sent him away without fruit.

A mai trimes un alt rob; ei l-au bătut şi pe acela, l-au batjocorit, şi l-au trimes înapoi cu mînile goale.

12 H e sent a third servant. They hurt him and threw him out of the grape-field.

A mai trimes un al treilea rob; ei l-au rănit şi pe acela, şi l-au scos afară.

13 “ Then the owner of the grape-field said, ‘What should I do? I will send my much-loved son. They might respect him.’

Stăpînul viei a zis:,, Ce să fac? Am să trimet pe fiul meu prea iubit; poate că îl vor primi cu cinste.``

14 T he farmers saw the son. They said to themselves, ‘This is the one who will get everything when the owner dies. Let us kill him, and we will get everything.’

Dar vierii, cînd l-au văzut, s'au sfătuit între ei, şi au zis:,, Iată moştenitorul; veniţi să -l ucidem, ca moştenirea să fie a noastră.``

15 T hey put him out of the grape-field and killed him. Now what will the owner of the grape-field do to them?

Şi l-au scos afară din vie, şi l-au omorît. Acum, ce le va face stăpînul viei?

16 H e will come and kill those farmers. Then he will rent the grape-field to other farmers.” When they heard this, they said, “May this never be done!”

Va veni, va pierde pe vierii aceia, şi via o va da altora.`` Cînd au auzit ei cuvintele acestea, au zis:,, Nicidecum!``

17 J esus looked at them and said, “What does this writing mean, ‘The Stone that was put aside by the workmen has become the most important Stone in the building’?

Dar Isus i -a privit drept în faţă, şi a zis:,, Ce însemnează cuvintele acestea, cari au fost scrise:, Piatra, pe care au lepădat -o zidarii, a ajuns să fie pusă în capul unghiului?

18 W hoever falls on this Stone will be broken. And on the one it falls, it will make him like dust.” They Try to Trap Jesus

Oricine va cădea peste piatra aceasta, va fi zdrobit de ea: şi pe acela peste care va cădea ea, îl va spulbera?``

19 A t this time the religious leaders and the teachers of the Law tried to take Jesus, but they were afraid of the people. These leaders knew Jesus had told this picture-story against them.

Preoţii cei mai de seamă şi cărturarii căutau să pună mîna pe El, chiar în ceasul acela, dar se temeau de norod. Pricepuseră că Isus spusese pilda aceasta împotriva lor.

20 T hey watched Jesus and they sent men who pretended to be good people to watch Him. They wanted to trap Him in something He said. Then they could give Him over to the leader of the people who had the right and the power to say what to do with Him.

Au început să pîndească pe Isus; şi au trimes nişte iscoditori, cari se prefăceau că sînt neprihăniţi, ca să -L prindă cu vorba şi să -L dea pe mîna stăpînirii şi pe mîna puterii dregătorului.

21 T hese men who were sent asked Jesus, “Teacher, we know what You say and teach is right. We know You do not show more respect to one person than to another. We know You teach the truth about God.

Iscoditorii aceştia L-au întrebat:,,Învăţătorule, ştim că vorbeşti şi înveţi pe oameni drept, şi că nu cauţi la faţa oamenilor, ci -i înveţi calea lui Dumnezeu în adevăr.

22 I s it right for us to pay taxes to Caesar or not?”

Se cuvine să plătim bir Cezarului sau nu?``

23 J esus knew they were trying to trap Him. He said,

Isus le -a priceput viclenia, şi le -a răspuns:,, Pentru ce Mă ispitiţi?

24 “ Show Me a piece of money. Whose picture is this? Whose name is on it?” And they said, “Caesar’s.”

Arătaţi-Mi un ban (Greceşte: dinar.). Al cui chip, şi ale cui slove sînt scrise pe el?``,, Ale Cezarului`` au răspuns ei.

25 J esus said to them, “Pay to Caesar the things that belong to Caesar. Pay to God the things that belong to God.”

Atunci El le -a zis:,, Daţi dar Cezarului ce este al Cezarului, şi lui Dumnezeu ce este al lui Dumnezeu.``

26 T hey could find nothing wrong with what He taught. They were surprised and wondered about what He told the people, so they said nothing more. They Ask about Being Raised from the Dead

Nu L-au putut prinde cu vorba înaintea norodului; ci, miraţi de răspunsul Lui, au tăcut.

27 S ome people from the religious group who believe no one will be raised from the dead came to Jesus. They asked Him,

Unii din Saduchei, cari zic că nu este înviere, s'au apropiat şi au întrebat pe Isus:

28 “ Teacher, Moses wrote to us in the Law, ‘If a man’s brother dies and leaves a wife but no children, then his brother must marry her. He should have children for his brother who died.’

iată ce ne -a scris Moise:, Dacă moare fratele cuiva, avînd nevastă, dar fără să aibă copii, fratele lui să ia pe nevasta lui, şi să ridice urmaş fratelui său.`

29 T here were seven brothers. The first had a wife but died without children.

Au fost dar şapte fraţi. Cel dintîi s'a însurat, şi a murit fără copii.

30 T he second brother took her for his wife. He died without children.

Pe nevasta lui, a luat -o al doilea; şi a murit şi el fără copii.

31 T he third brother took her for his wife. In the same way all seven took her for a wife. They all died without children.

A luat -o şi al treilea, şi tot aşa toţi şapte; şi au murit fără să lase copii.

32 T hen the woman died also.

La urma tuturor, a murit şi femeia.

33 W hen people are raised from the dead, whose wife will she be? All seven brothers had her for a wife.”

Deci, la înviere, nevasta căruia dintre ei va fi femeia? Fiindcă toţi şapte au avut -o de nevastă.``

34 J esus said to them, “People of this earth marry and are given in marriage.

Isus le -a răspuns:,, Fiii veacului acestuia se însoară şi se mărită;

35 B ut those who have the right to have that life and are raised from the dead do not marry and are not given in marriage.

dar cei ce vor fi găsiţi vrednici să aibă parte de veacul viitor şi de învierea dintre cei morţi, nici nu se vor însura, nici nu se vor mărita.

36 T hey cannot die anymore. They are as the angels and are sons of God. They are children who have been raised from the dead.

Pentrucă nici nu vor putea muri, căci vor fi ca îngerii. Şi vor fi fiii lui Dumnezeu, fiind fii ai învierii.

37 A s for the dead being raised, even Moses spoke of that when he told of the burning bush. There he calls the Lord, the God of Abraham and the God of Isaac and the God of Jacob.

Dar că morţii înviază, a arătat însuşi Moise, în locul unde este vorba despre, Rug`, cînd numeşte pe Domnul:, Dumnezeul lui Avraam, Dumnezeul lui Isaac şi Dumnezeul lui Iacov.`

38 F or He is not the God of the dead. He is the God of the living. All live for Him.”

Dar Dumnezeu nu este un Dumnezeu al celor morţi, ci al celor vii, căci pentru El toţi sînt vii.``

39 O ne of the teachers of the Law said, “Teacher, You have spoken well.”

Unii din cărturari au luat cuvîntul, şi au zis:,,Învăţătorule, bine ai zis.``

40 A fter that they were afraid to ask Him anything. Jesus Asks the Teachers of the Law about the Christ

Şi nu mai îndrăzneau să -I mai pună nici o întrebare.

41 J esus said to them, “How do they say that Christ is the Son of David?

Isus le -a zis:,, Cum se zice că Hristosul este fiul lui David?

42 F or David himself said in the Book of Psalms, ‘The Lord said to My Lord, “Sit at my right side

Căci însuş David zice în Cartea Psalmilor:, Domnul a zis Domnului meu: Şezi la dreapta Mea,

43 u ntil I make those who hate You a place to rest Your feet.”’

pînă voi pune pe vrăjmaşii Tăi supt picioarele Tale.`

44 D avid calls Him, ‘Lord!’ Then how can He be his son?” False Teachers

Deci David Îl numeşte Domn; atunci cum este El fiul lui?``

45 A ll the people were listening. He said to His followers,

Atunci a zis ucenicilor Săi, în auzul întregului norod:

46 “ Look out for the teachers of the Law. They like to walk around in long coats. They like to have people speak words of respect to them in the center of town where people gather. They like the important seats in the places of worship. They like the important places at big suppers.

Păziţi-vă de cărturari, cărora le place să se plimbe în haine lungi, şi să le facă lumea plecăciuni prin pieţe; ei umblă după scaunele dintîi în sinagogi, şi după locurile dintîi la ospeţe;

47 T hey take houses from poor women whose husbands have died. They cover up their actions by making long prayers. They will be punished all the more.”

şi casele văduvelor le mănîncă, în timp ce, de ochii lumii, fac rugăciuni lungi. De aceea vor lua o mai mare osîndă.``
