1 T hen I saw another strong angel coming down from heaven covered with a cloud. He had many colors around his head. His face was like the sun. His feet were like long flames of fire.

Apoi am văzut un alt înger puternic, care se pogora din cer, învăluit într'un nor. Deasupra capului lui era curcubeul; faţa lui era ca soarele, şi picioarele lui erau ca nişte stîlpi de foc.

2 H e had in his hand a little book that was open. The angel put his right foot on the sea. He put his left foot on the land.

În mînă ţinea o cărticică deschisă. A pus piciorul drept pe mare, şi piciorul stîng pe pămînt,

3 H e cried with a loud voice like the sound of a lion. The seven thunders sounded.

şi a strigat cu glas tare, cum răcneşte un leu. Cînd a strigat el, cele şapte tunete au făcut să se audă glasurile lor.

4 I was ready to write when the seven thunders had spoken. Then I heard the voice from heaven saying, “Lock up the things which the seven thunders have spoken. Do not write them!”

Şi cînd au făcut cele şapte tunete să se audă glasurile lor, eram gata să mă apuc să scriu; şi am auzit din cer un glas, care zicea:,, Pecetluieşte ce au spus cele şapte tunete, şi nu scrie ce au spus!``

5 T hen the strong angel that I saw standing on the sea and on the land lifted his right hand to heaven.

Şi îngerul, pe care -l văzusem stînd în picioare pe mare şi pe pămînt, şi -a ridicat mîna dreaptă spre cer,

6 H e made a promise in the name of God Who lives forever, Who made the heaven and the earth and the sea and everything in them. He promised that there will be no more waiting.

şi a jurat pe Cel ce este viu în vecii vecilor, care a făcut cerul şi lucrurile din el, pămîntul şi lucrurile de pe el, marea şi lucrurile din ea, că nu va mai fi nicio zăbavă,

7 A nd when the seventh angel blows his horn, God will put His secret plan into action. It will be done just as He told it to the early preachers, His servants.

ci că în zilele în cari îngerul al şaptelea va suna din trîmbiţa lui, se va sfîrşi taina lui Dumnezeu, după vestea bună vestită de El robilor Săi proorocilor.

8 T hen the voice I heard from heaven spoke to me again. It said, “Go and take the little book that is open. It is in the hand of the angel who is standing on the sea and on the land.”

Şi glasul, pe care -l auzisem din cer, mi -a vorbit din nou, şi mi -a zis:,, Du-te de ia cărticica deschisă din mîna îngerului, care stă în picioare pe mare şi pe pămînt!``

9 I went to the angel and asked him to give me the little book. He said, “Take it and eat it. It will taste like honey in your mouth. But after you have eaten it, it will make your stomach sour.”

M'am dus la înger, şi i-am cerut să-mi dea cărticica.,, Ia -o``, mi -a zis el,,,şi mănîncă -o; ea îţi va amărî pîntecele, dar în gura ta va fi dulce ca mierea.``

10 T hen I took it from the angel’s hand and ate it. It was sweet as honey in my mouth, but it made my stomach sour after I had eaten it.

Am luat cărticica din mîna îngerului, şi am mîncat -o: în gura mea a fost dulce ca mierea; dar, după ce am mîncat -o, mi s'a umplut pîntecele de amărăciune.

11 T hen they said to me, “You must tell what will happen again in front of many people and nations and families and kings.”

Apoi mi-au zis:,, Trebuie să prooroceşti din nou cu privire la multe noroade, neamuri, limbi şi împăraţi.``
