Atunci gura ne era plină de strigăte de bucurie, şi limba de cîntări de veselie. Atunci se spunea printre neamuri:,, Domnul a făcut mari lucruri pentru ei!``

3 T he Lord has done great things for us and we are glad.

Da, Domnul a făcut mari lucruri pentru noi, şi deaceea sîntem plini de bucurie.

4 B ring back our people, O Lord, like the rivers in the South.

Doamne, adu înapoi pe prinşii noştri de război, ca pe nişte rîuri în partea de miază zi!

5 T hose who plant with tears will gather fruit with songs of joy.

Cei ce samănă cu lăcrămi, vor secera cu cîntări de veselie.

6 H e who goes out crying as he carries his bag of seed will return with songs of joy as he brings much grain with him.

Cel ce umblă plîngînd, cînd aruncă sămînţa, se întoarce cu veselie, cînd îşi strînge snopii.
