1 A ll will be quiet before You, and praise belongs to You, O God, in Zion. And our promise to You will be kept.

(Către mai marele cîntăreţilor. Un psalm al lui David. O cîntare.) Cu încredere, Dumnezeule, vei fi lăudat în Sion, şi împlinite vor fi juruinţele cari Ţi-au fost făcute.

2 O You Who hears prayer, to You all men come.

Tu asculţi rugăciunea, de aceea toţi oamenii vor veni la Tine.

3 M y sins are strong against me. But You forgive our sins.

Mă copleşesc nelegiuirile: dar Tu vei ierta fărădelegile noastre.

4 H appy is the man You choose and bring near to You to live in Your holy place. We will be filled with the good things of Your house, Your holy house.

Ferice de cel pe care -l alegi Tu, şi pe care -l primeşti înaintea Ta, ca să locuiască în curţile Tale! Ne vom sătura de binecuvîntarea Casei Tale, de sfinţenia Templului Tău.

5 O God Who saves us, You answer us in the way that is right and good by Your great works that make people stand in fear. You are the hope of all the ends of the earth and of the farthest seas.

În bunătatea Ta, Tu ne asculţi prin minuni, Dumnezeul mîntuirii noastre, nădejdea tuturor marginilor îndepărtate ale pămîntului şi mării!

6 Y ou have built the mountains by Your strength. You are dressed with power.

El întăreşte munţii prin tăria Lui, şi este încins cu putere.

7 Y ou quiet the storm of the seas, the sound of their waves, and the noise of the people.

El potoleşte urletul mărilor, urletul valurilor lor, şi zarva popoarelor.

8 T hose who live far away are afraid of Your great works. You make morning and evening call out for joy.

Ceice locuiesc la marginile lumii se înspăimîntă de minunile Tale: Tu umpli de veselie răsăritul şi apusul îndepărtat.

9 Y ou visit the earth and water it. You make it very rich. The river of God is full of water. You give the people grain when You have made the earth ready.

Tu cercetezi pămîntul şi -i dai belşug, îl umpli de bogăţii, şi de rîuri dumnezeieşti, pline cu apa. Tu le dai grîu, pe care iată cum îl faci să rodească:

10 Y ou water where the plow has been used. You cover the seeds with earth. You make it soft with rain. And You make the plants grow well.

îi uzi brazdele, îi sfărîmi bulgării, îl moi cu ploaia, şi -i binecuvintezi răsadul.

11 Y ou crown the year with Your good gifts. There is more than enough where You have been.

Încununezi anul cu bunătăţile Tale, şi paşii Tăi varsă belşugul.

12 T he fields of the desert are filled with water. And the hills dress themselves with joy.

Cîmpiile pustiei sînt adăpate, şi dealurile sînt încinse cu veselie.

13 T he grass lands are covered with birds. And the valleys are covered with grain. They call out for joy and sing.

Păşunile se acopăr de oi, şi văile se îmbracă cu grîu: toate strigă de bucurie şi cîntă.
