1 M y dear children, I am writing this to you so you will not sin. But if anyone does sin, there is One Who will go between him and the Father. He is Jesus Christ, the One Who is right with God.

Дети мои, я пишу вам это, чтобы вы не согрешали. Но если кто из вас и согрешит, то у нас есть Праведник Иисус Христос, Который свидетельствует перед Отцом в нашу защиту.

2 H e paid for our sins with His own blood. He did not pay for ours only, but for the sins of the whole world.

Он – умилостивление за наши грехи, и не только за наши, но и за грехи всего мира. Знать Бога – это значит исполнять Его повеления

3 W e can be sure that we know Him if we obey His teaching.

Мы можем быть уверены, что знаем Его, если соблюдаем Его повеления.

4 A nyone who says, “I know Him,” but does not obey His teaching is a liar. There is no truth in him.

Если кто-то говорит: «Я знаю Его», но не соблюдает Его повелений, тот лжец, и истины в нем нет.

5 B ut whoever obeys His Word has the love of God made perfect in him. This is the way to know if you belong to Christ.

Но если человек послушен Его слову, тогда любовь Божья действительно достигла в нем своей полноты; это и показывает, что мы пребываем в Нем.

6 T he one who says he belongs to Christ should live the same kind of life Christ lived.

Кто говорит, что он в Нем, тот должен и жить так, как жил Он.

7 D ear friends, I am not writing a new Law for you to obey. It is an old Law you have had from the beginning. The old Law is the Word that you have heard.

Дорогие, я не пишу вам какое-то новое повеление, повеление это известно уже давно, и вы имели его с самого начала. Это старое повеление и есть та весть, которую вы слышали.

8 A nd yet it is a new Law that I am writing to you. It is truth. It was seen in Christ and it is seen in you also. The darkness is passing away and the true Light shines instead.

И все-таки, то, что я пишу, – это и новое повеление, истинное в Нем и в вас, потому что мрак рассеивается, и уже светит истинный свет.

9 W hoever says he is in the light but hates his brother is still in darkness.

Кто заявляет, что живет во свете, но ненавидит своего брата, тот еще во тьме.

10 B ut whoever loves his brother is in the light. And there will be no reason to sin because of him.

Но кто любит своего брата, тот живет во свете, и в нем нет уже ничего, что ведет ко греху.

11 W hoever hates his brother is not in the light but lives in darkness. He does not know where he is going because the darkness has blinded his eyes. Do Not Love the World

Кто ненавидит своего брата, тот находится во тьме и во тьме ходит, не зная, куда идет, потому что тьма ослепила его.

12 I am writing to you, my children, for your sins have been forgiven because of Christ’s name.

Я пишу вам, дети, потому что ваши грехи уже прощены ради Его Имени.

13 I am writing to you, fathers, because you know Him Who has been from the beginning. I am writing to you, young men, because you have power over the devil. I have written to you, young boys and girls, because you have learned to know the Father.

Я пишу вам, отцы, потому что вы познали Того, Кто существует от начала. Я пишу вам, юноши, потому что вы победили лукавого.

14 I have written to you, fathers, because you know Him Who has been from the beginning. I have written to you, young men, because you are strong. You have kept God’s Word in your hearts. You have power over the devil.

Я написал вам, дети, потому что вы познали Отца. Я написал вам, отцы, потому что вы познали Того, Кто существует от начала. Я написал вам, юноши, потому что вы сильны, в вас слово Божье и вы победили лукавого. Не любите мира

15 D o not love the world or anything in the world. If anyone loves the world, the Father’s love is not in him.

Не любите ни этого мира, ни того, что в мире. Кто любит мир, в том нет любви к Отцу,

16 F or everything that is in the world does not come from the Father. The desires of our flesh and the things our eyes see and want and the pride of this life come from the world.

потому что все, что есть в этом мире, – желания плоти, желания глаз и житейская гордость, – не от Отца, а от мира.

17 T he world and all its desires will pass away. But the man who obeys God and does what He wants done will live forever.

Мир и мирские желания проходят, но тот, кто исполняет Божью волю, живет вечно. Антихристы последних дней

18 M y children, we are near the end of the world. You have heard that the false-christ is coming. Many false-christs have already come. This is how we know the end of the world is near.

Дети, это время – последнее. Вы слышали, что должен прийти антихрист, и сейчас появилось много антихристов, из чего мы узнаем, что время – последнее.

19 T hese left us. But they never belonged to us. If they had been a part of us, they would have stayed with us. Because they left, it is known they did not belong to us.

Эти антихристы вышли из нашей среды, хоть они никогда к нам не принадлежали. Если бы они действительно принадлежали к нам, то остались бы с нами. То, что они от нас вышли, показывает, что они и не принадлежали к нам.

20 T he Holy Spirit has been given to you and you all know the truth.

Вы получили помазание от Святого, и у всех вас есть знание.

21 I have not written to you because you do not know the truth. I have written because you do know the truth and you know that no lie comes from the truth.

Я пишу вам не потому, что вы не знаете истины, а наоборот, потому, что вы знаете ее и то, что из нее не может произойти никакой лжи.

22 W ho is a liar? He is a person who says that Jesus is not the Christ. The false-christ will have nothing to do with the Father and the Son and he will turn away from Them.

Кто такой лжец? Лжец – тот, кто отвергает, что Иисус – Христос. Такой человек – антихрист, он отвергает и Отца, и Сына.

23 A person who will have nothing to do with the Son and turns against Him does not have the Father. The one who says he knows the Son has the Father also.

Тот, кто отвергает Сына, не имеет и Отца, а кто признает Сына, тот имеет и Отца.

24 K eep in your heart what you have heard from the beginning. Then you will belong to the Son and to the Father if what you have heard from the beginning is in you.

Храните слышанное вами от начала. Если то, что вы слышали от начала, будет постоянно в вас, то и вы сами будете в Сыне и в Отце.

25 A nd He has promised us life that lasts forever!

Его обещание, которое Он дал нам, – вечная жизнь.

26 I have written to you about those who are trying to lead you in the wrong way.

Это я пишу вам относительно тех, кто пытается вас обмануть.

27 C hrist gave you the Holy Spirit and He lives in you. You do not need anyone to teach you. The Holy Spirit is able to teach you all things. What He teaches you is truth and not a lie. Live by the help of Christ as the Holy Spirit has taught you.

Помазание, которое вы получили от Него, постоянно в вас, и поэтому вам не нужно, чтобы кто-либо учил вас. Его помазание само учит вас всему, оно говорит истину и никогда не лжет. Поэтому, как оно научило вас, так и оставайтесь в Нем. Дети Божьи

28 A nd now, my children, live by the help of Him. Then when He comes again, we will be glad to see Him and not be ashamed.

И теперь, дети, оставайтесь в Нем, чтобы, когда Он явится, мы могли бы стоять перед Ним уверенно и не стыдясь.

29 Y ou know that Christ is right with God. Then you should know that everyone who is right with God is a child of His.

Если вы знаете, что Он праведен, то знаете и то, что каждый, кто живет праведно, рожден от Него.
