1 В от последние слова Давида: – Пророчество Давида, сына Иессея, пророчество человека, вознесенного Всевышним, человека, помазанного Богом Иакова, и сладкоголосого певца Израиля:

Now these are the last words of David. David the son of Jesse says, the man who was raised on high says, the anointed of the God of Jacob, the sweet psalmist of Israel:

2 Д ух Господень говорит через меня; слово Его у меня на языке.

“Yahweh’s Spirit spoke by me. His word was on my tongue.

3 Б ог Израиля сказал, скала Израиля изрек обо мне: «Тот, кто правит людьми справедливо, тот, кто правит в страхе Божьем,

The God of Israel said, the Rock of Israel spoke to me, ‘One who rules over men righteously, who rules in the fear of God,

4 с вету утра подобен, солнцу подобен, встающему безоблачным утром, сияющему после дождя, которое растит траву из земли».

shall be as the light of the morning, when the sun rises, a morning without clouds, when the tender grass springs out of the earth, through clear shining after rain.’

5 Р азве не таков дом мой у Бога? Разве Он не заключил со мной вечный завет, полностью устроенный и непреложный? Разве не от Него все мое спасение и все мои желания?

Most certainly my house is not so with God, yet he has made with me an everlasting covenant, ordered in all things, and sure, for it is all my salvation, and all my desire, although he doesn’t make it grow.

6 Н о все нечестивые подобны тернию, которое отбрасывают прочь и не берут руками.

But all the ungodly will be as thorns to be thrust away, because they can’t be taken with the hand,

7 В сякий, кто касается терния, вооружается железом или древком копья; его сжигают там же, на месте. Прославленные воины Давида (1 Пар. 11: 10-41)

But the man who touches them must be armed with iron and the staff of a spear. They will be utterly burned with fire in their place.”

8 В от имена воинов Давида: тахмонитянин Иошев-Башевет был главой троих; он поднял свое копье на восемьсот человек, которых он убил в одной схватке.

These are the names of the mighty men whom David had: Josheb Basshebeth a Tahchemonite, chief of the captains; the same was Adino the Eznite, against eight hundred slain at one time.

9 П осле него был Элеазар, сын Додая, внук Ахохи. Он был с Давидом, когда они насмешками вызывали на бой собравшихся для битвы филистимлян.

After him was Eleazar the son of Dodai the son of an Ahohite, one of the three mighty men with David, when they defied the Philistines who were there gathered together to battle, and the men of Israel had gone away.

10 И зраильтяне вышли против них, и он проявил храбрость и разил филистимлян, пока его рука не устала и не прилипла к мечу. В тот день Господь даровал великую победу. Только после битвы воины вернулись к Элеазару, но лишь для того, чтобы обирать убитых.

He arose and struck the Philistines until his hand was weary, and his hand froze to the sword; and Yahweh worked a great victory that day; and the people returned after him only to take plunder.

11 П осле него был Шамма, сын гараритянина Аге. Когда филистимляне собрались в Лехи, где было поле, засеянное чечевицей, воины Израиля бежали от них.

After him was Shammah the son of Agee a Hararite. The Philistines had gathered together into a troop, where there was a plot of ground full of lentils; and the people fled from the Philistines.

12 Н о Шамма встал посредине поля. Он защитил его и перебил филистимлян, и Господь одержал великую победу.

But he stood in the middle of the plot and defended it, and killed the Philistines; and Yahweh worked a great victory.

13 К началу жатвы трое из тридцати вождей пришли к Давиду в пещеру Адуллам, когда отряд филистимлян стоял лагерем в долине Рефаим.

Three of the thirty chief men went down, and came to David in the harvest time to the cave of Adullam; and the troop of the Philistines was encamped in the valley of Rephaim.

14 Д авид тогда был в укреплении, а войска филистимлян в Вифлееме.

David was then in the stronghold; and the garrison of the Philistines was then in Bethlehem.

15 Д авида томила жажда, и он сказал: – О, если бы кто-нибудь принес мне попить из колодца у вифлеемских ворот!

David longed, and said, “Oh that someone would give me water to drink from the well of Bethlehem, which is by the gate!”

16 Т огда те трое воинов пробились через филистимский лагерь, зачерпнули воды из колодца у вифлеемских ворот и принесли Давиду. Но он отказался пить и вылил воду как приношение Господу.

The three mighty men broke through the army of the Philistines, and drew water out of the well of Bethlehem that was by the gate, and took it and brought it to David; but he would not drink of it, but poured it out to Yahweh.

17 – Сохрани меня, Господи, сделать это! – сказал он. – Разве я стану пить кровь людей, которые рисковали своей жизнью?! И он не стал пить. Таковы подвиги совершили трое этих воинов.

He said, “Be it far from me, Yahweh, that I should do this! Isn’t this the blood of the men who risked their lives to go?” Therefore he would not drink it. The three mighty men did these things.

18 Б рат Иоава, Авишай, сын Саруи, был главой троих. Он сражался с копьем против трехсот человек, перебил их всех и прославился наравне с теми тремя.

Abishai, the brother of Joab, the son of Zeruiah, was chief of the three. He lifted up his spear against three hundred and killed them, and had a name among the three.

19 О н был самым прославленным из тридцати и стал их вождем, но сам не равнялся с теми тремя.

Wasn’t he most honorable of the three? therefore he was made their captain. However he wasn’t included as one of the three.

20 В анея, сын Иодая, был доблестным воином из Кавцеила, совершившим великие подвиги. Он сразил двух сильнейших воинов из Моава. Еще он спустился в ров в снежный день и убил там льва.

Benaiah the son of Jehoiada, the son of a valiant man of Kabzeel, who had done mighty deeds, killed the two sons of Ariel of Moab. He also went down and killed a lion in the middle of a pit in a time of snow.

21 О н также сразил огромного египтянина. У египтянина в руке было копье, а Ванея вышел против него с палкой. Он вырвал копье из руки египтянина и убил его этим же копьем.

He killed a huge Egyptian, and the Egyptian had a spear in his hand; but he went down to him with a staff, and plucked the spear out of the Egyptian’s hand, and killed him with his own spear.

22 Т аковы были подвиги Ванеи, сына Иодая. Он прославился наравне с теми тремя.

Benaiah the son of Jehoiada did these things, and had a name among the three mighty men.

23 О н был знаменит среди тридцати, но славой с теми тремя не равнялся. Давид поставил его начальником своей стражи.

He was more honorable than the thirty, but he didn’t attain to the three. David set him over his guard.

24 С реди тридцати были: Асаил, брат Иоава, Элханан, сын Додо из Вифлеема,

Asahel the brother of Joab was one of the thirty: Elhanan the son of Dodo of Bethlehem,

25 х ародитянин Шамма, хародитянин Елика,

Shammah the Harodite, Elika the Harodite,

26 п алтитянин Хелец, Ира, сын Икеша из Текоа,

Helez the Paltite, Ira the son of Ikkesh the Tekoite,

27 А виезер из Анатота, хушатянин Мебуннай,

Abiezer the Anathothite, Mebunnai the Hushathite,

28 а хохитянин Цалмон, нетофитянин Магарай,

Zalmon the Ahohite, Maharai the Netophathite,

29 Х елев, сын нетофитянина Бааны, Иттай, сын Рибая, из Гивы, что в земле Вениамина,

Heleb the son of Baanah the Netophathite, Ittai the son of Ribai of Gibeah of the children of Benjamin,

30 п ирафонянин Ванея, Иддай из Нахле-Гааша,

Benaiah a Pirathonite, Hiddai of the brooks of Gaash.

31 а рбатитянин Ави-Албон, бархюмитянин Азмавет,

Abialbon the Arbathite, Azmaveth the Barhumite,

32 ш аалбонитянин Елияхба, сыновья Иашена, Ионафан

Eliahba the Shaalbonite, the sons of Jashen, Jonathan,

33 с ын араритянина Шаммы, Ахиам, сын араритянина Шарара,

Shammah the Hararite, Ahiam the son of Sharar the Ararite,

34 Э лифелет, сын Ахасбая из Маахи, Елиам, сын гилонитянина Ахитофела,

Eliphelet the son of Ahasbai, the son of the Maacathite, Eliam the son of Ahithophel the Gilonite,

35 Х ецрай из Кармила, арбитянин Паарай,

Hezro the Carmelite, Paarai the Arbite,

36 И гал, сын Нафана из Цовы, гадитянин Бани,

Igal the son of Nathan of Zobah, Bani the Gadite,

37 а ммонитянин Целек, Нахарай из Беэрота, оруженосец Иоава, сына Саруи,

Zelek the Ammonite, Naharai the Beerothite, armor bearers to Joab the son of Zeruiah,

38 и тритянин Ира, итритянин Гарев,

Ira the Ithrite, Gareb the Ithrite,

39 и хетт Урия. Всего их было тридцать семь.

and Uriah the Hittite: thirty-seven in all.
