1 З атем я увидел другого могучего ангела, спускающегося с небес. Он был окутан облаком, и над его головой сияла радуга. Его лицо было как солнце, а ноги – как огненные столбы.

I saw a mighty angel coming down out of the sky, clothed with a cloud. A rainbow was on his head. His face was like the sun, and his feet like pillars of fire.

2 А нгел держал в руке маленький развернутый свиток. Он поставил правую ногу на море, а левую на сушу.

He had in his hand a little open book. He set his right foot on the sea, and his left on the land.

3 О н закричал, и его крик напоминал рев льва, и от этого крика заговорили семь громов.

He cried with a loud voice, as a lion roars. When he cried, the seven thunders uttered their voices.

4 К огда проговорили семь громов, я приготовился писать, но голос с небес сказал мне: – Сохрани в тайне то, что сказали семь громов, не записывай этого.

When the seven thunders sounded, I was about to write; but I heard a voice from the sky saying, “Seal up the things which the seven thunders said, and don’t write them.”

5 З атем ангел, которого я видел стоящим одновременно на море и на суше, поднял правую руку к небу.

The angel whom I saw standing on the sea and on the land lifted up his right hand to the sky,

6 О н поклялся вечно Живущим, сотворившим небеса и то, что на них, землю и то, что на ней, и море с тем, что в нем. – Промедления больше не будет! – сказал он. –

and swore by him who lives forever and ever, who created heaven and the things that are in it, the earth and the things that are in it, and the sea and the things that are in it, that there will no longer be delay,

7 Н о в те дни, когда седьмой ангел будет готов протрубить, тогда скрытый план Божий будет полностью осуществлен, как Он и объявил об этом Своим слугам пророкам.

but in the days of the voice of the seventh angel, when he is about to sound, then the mystery of God is finished, as he declared to his servants, the prophets.

8 П отом голос, который я слышал с небес, еще раз обратился ко мне: – Пойди и возьми открытый свиток из руки ангела, стоящего на море и на суше.

The voice which I heard from heaven, again speaking with me, said, “Go, take the book which is open in the hand of the angel who stands on the sea and on the land.”

9 Я подошел к ангелу и попросил его дать мне этот маленький свиток. Ангел сказал мне: – Возьми его и съешь. От него у тебя будет горько в желудке, но во рту он будет сладким, как мед.

I went to the angel, telling him to give me the little book. He said to me, “Take it, and eat it up. It will make your stomach bitter, but in your mouth it will be as sweet as honey.”

10 Я взял маленький свиток из руки ангела и съел его: во рту он был сладким, как мед, но в желудке потом была от него горечь.

I took the little book out of the angel’s hand, and ate it up. It was as sweet as honey in my mouth. When I had eaten it, my stomach was made bitter.

11 Т огда мне было сказано: – Тебе предстоит опять пророчествовать о судьбах многих народов, племен, языков и царей.

They told me, “You must prophesy again over many peoples, nations, languages, and kings.”
