1 Е зекия послал объявить по всему Израилю и Иудее и написал письма Ефрему и Манассии, приглашая их прийти в дом Господа в Иерусалиме и отпраздновать Пасху Господу, Богу Израиля.

Hezekiah sent to all Israel and Judah, and wrote letters also to Ephraim and Manasseh, that they should come to Yahweh’s house at Jerusalem, to keep the Passover to Yahweh, the God of Israel.

2 Ц арь, его приближенные и все собрание в Иерусалиме решили на совете праздновать Пасху во втором месяце.

For the king had taken counsel, and his princes, and all the assembly in Jerusalem, to keep the Passover in the second month.

3 О ни не могли отпраздновать ее в установленное время, потому что не хватало священников, которые успели бы освятиться, и народ еще не собирался в Иерусалиме.

For they could not keep it at that time, because the priests had not sanctified themselves in sufficient number, neither had the people gathered themselves together to Jerusalem.

4 Э то решение понравилось и царю, и всему собранию.

The thing was right in the eyes of the king and of all the assembly.

5 О ни решили объявить по всему Израилю, от Вирсавии до Дана, чтобы народ шел в Иерусалим праздновать Пасху Господу, Богу Израиля, потому что ее не отмечали всенародно, как было предписано.

So they established a decree to make proclamation throughout all Israel, from Beersheba even to Dan, that they should come to keep the Passover to Yahweh, the God of Israel, at Jerusalem: for they had not kept it in great numbers in such sort as it is written.

6 И гонцы с письмами от царя и его приближенных прошли по всему Израилю и по всей Иудее, возвещая повеления царя: «Народ Израиля, вернитесь к Господу, Богу Авраама, Исаака и Иакова, чтобы Он вернулся к вам, оставшийся народ, уцелевший от рук царей Ассирии.

So the couriers went with the letters from the king and his princes throughout all Israel and Judah, and according to the commandment of the king, saying, “You children of Israel, turn again to Yahweh, the God of Abraham, Isaac, and Israel, that he may return to the remnant that have escaped of you out of the hand of the kings of Assyria.

7 Н е будьте, как ваши отцы и братья, которые нарушили верность Господу, Богу их отцов, за что Он предал их на опустошение, как вы и видите.

Don’t be like your fathers, and like your brothers, who trespassed against Yahweh, the God of their fathers, so that he gave them up to desolation, as you see.

8 Н е будьте упрямыми, как ваши отцы; покоритесь Господу. Придите в святилище, которое Он освятил навеки. Служите Господу, вашему Богу, чтобы Его пылающий гнев на вас прекратился.

Now don’t be stiff-necked, as your fathers were; but yield yourselves to Yahweh, and enter into his sanctuary, which he has sanctified forever, and serve Yahweh your God, that his fierce anger may turn away from you.

9 Е сли вы вернетесь к Господу, то взявшие в плен ваших родичей и детей пожалеют их, и они вернутся в эту страну, потому что Господь, ваш Бог, милостив и милосерден. Он не отвернет от вас Своего лица, если вы возвратитесь к Нему».

For if you turn again to Yahweh, your brothers and your children shall find compassion before those who led them captive, and shall come again into this land: for Yahweh your God is gracious and merciful, and will not turn away his face from you, if you return to him.”

10 Г онцы ходили из города в город в землях Ефрема и Манассии, до самых рубежей земли Завулона, но народ лишь насмехался и издевался над ними.

So the couriers passed from city to city through the country of Ephraim and Manasseh, even to Zebulun: but they ridiculed them, and mocked them.

11 И все же некоторые из родов Асира, Манассии и Завулона смирили себя и пришли в Иерусалим.

Nevertheless certain men of Asher and Manasseh and of Zebulun humbled themselves, and came to Jerusalem.

12 Д а и в Иудее рука Божья была на народе, даровав им единомыслие, чтобы им выполнить то, что по слову Господа велели царь и его приближенные. Езекия отмечает праздник Пресных хлебов

Also on Judah came the hand of God to give them one heart, to do the commandment of the king and of the princes by Yahweh’s word.

13 О громная толпа народа собралась в Иерусалиме отмечать праздник Пресных хлебов во втором месяце.

Many people assembled at Jerusalem to keep the feast of unleavened bread in the second month, a very great assembly.

14 О ни приступили к работе и разрушили в Иерусалиме жертвенники и убрали все жертвенники для возжигания им благовоний, и бросили их в долину Кедрон.

They arose and took away the altars that were in Jerusalem, and all the altars for incense took they away, and cast them into the brook Kidron.

15 О ни закололи пасхального ягненка в четырнадцатый день второго месяца. Священники и левиты, устыдившись, освятились и принесли в Господень дом всесожжения.

Then they killed the Passover on the fourteenth day of the second month: and the priests and the Levites were ashamed, and sanctified themselves, and brought burnt offerings into Yahweh’s house.

16 О ни встали на свои обычные места, как предписано Законом Моисея, Божьего человека. Священники кропили кровью, которую подавали им левиты.

They stood in their place after their order, according to the law of Moses the man of God: the priests sprinkled the blood which they received of the hand of the Levites.

17 Т ак как многие в толпе не освятились, левитам пришлось закалывать пасхальных ягнят за всех, кто был ритуально нечист и не мог посвятить своего ягненка Господу.

For there were many in the assembly who had not sanctified themselves: therefore the Levites were in charge of killing the Passovers for everyone who was not clean, to sanctify them to Yahweh.

18 Б ольшая часть народа, где было много паломников из родов Ефрема, Манассии, Иссахара и Завулона, не очистилась, но ела Пасху, нарушая предписание.

For a multitude of the people, even many of Ephraim and Manasseh, Issachar and Zebulun, had not cleansed themselves, yet they ate the Passover otherwise than it is written. For Hezekiah had prayed for them, saying, “May the good Yahweh pardon everyone

19 Н о Езекия помолился за них, сказав: – Пусть простит Господь, Который благ, всякого, кто расположил свое сердце поискам Бога – Господа, Бога его отцов, даже если он поклоняется Ему, будучи нечист по уставу святилища.

who sets his heart to seek God, Yahweh, the God of his fathers, even if they aren’t clean according to the purification of the sanctuary.”

20 Г осподь услышал Езекию и исцелил народ.

Yahweh listened to Hezekiah, and healed the people.

21 И зраильтяне, которые были в Иерусалиме, отмечали праздник Пресных хлебов семь дней с великой радостью, а левиты и священники каждый день пели хвалебные песни Господу под звуки Господних музыкальных инструментов.

The children of Israel who were present at Jerusalem kept the feast of unleavened bread seven days with great gladness; and the Levites and the priests praised Yahweh day by day, singing with loud instruments to Yahweh.

22 Е зекия милостиво говорил со всеми левитами, которые обнаружили хорошие познания в Господней службе. В течение семи дней они ели полагавшуюся им долю, приносили жертвы примирения и открыто признавали свои грехи перед Господом, Богом их отцов.

Hezekiah spoke comfortably to all the Levites who had good understanding in the service of Yahweh. So they ate throughout the feast for the seven days, offering sacrifices of peace offerings, and making confession to Yahweh, the God of their fathers.

23 З атем все собрание согласилось праздновать праздник еще семь дней, так что они радостно праздновали и эти семь дней.

The whole assembly took counsel to keep other seven days; and they kept another seven days with gladness.

24 В едь царь Иудеи Езекия распорядился выдать собранию тысячу быков и семь тысяч овец и коз, а приближенные дали им тысячу быков и десять тысяч овец и коз. Много священников подготовилось к священной службе.

For Hezekiah king of Judah gave to the assembly for offerings one thousand bulls and seven thousand sheep; and the princes gave to the assembly a thousand bulls and ten thousand sheep: and a great number of priests sanctified themselves.

25 В се собрание Иудеи радовалось вместе со священниками и левитами и всеми, кто собрался из Израиля, считая и чужеземцев, явившихся из Израиля и живших в Иудее.

All the assembly of Judah, with the priests and the Levites, and all the assembly who came out of Israel, and the foreigners who came out of the land of Israel, and who lived in Judah, rejoiced.

26 В Иерусалиме царила великая радость, ведь со дней царя Израиля Соломона, сына Давида, в Иерусалиме не бывало ничего подобного.

So there was great joy in Jerusalem; for since the time of Solomon the son of David king of Israel there was not the like in Jerusalem.

27 С вященники и левиты встали благословить народ, и Бог услышал их, потому что их молитва достигла небес, Его святого жилища.

Then the priests the Levites arose and blessed the people: and their voice was heard, and their prayer came up to his holy habitation, even to heaven.
