1 O n the third day there was a wedding at Cana of Galilee, and the mother of Jesus was there.

На третий день в Кане, в Галилее, был свадебный пир, и мать Иисуса была там.

2 J esus also was invited with His disciples to the wedding.

Иисус и Его ученики тоже были приглашены на свадьбу.

3 A nd when the wine was all gone, the mother of Jesus said to Him, They have no more wine!

Случилось так, что во время пира кончилось вино, и мать Иисуса тогда сказала Ему: – У них нет вина.

4 J esus said to her, '> Dear] woman, what is that to you and to Me? My time (hour to act) has not yet come.

Иисус ответил: – О, женщина, почему Я должен заботиться об этом? Мое время еще не настало.

5 H is mother said to the servants, Whatever He says to you, do it.

Мать Иисуса сказала слугам: – Делайте то, что Он вам скажет.

6 N ow there were six waterpots of stone standing there, as the Jewish custom of purification (ceremonial washing) demanded, holding twenty to thirty gallons apiece.

Рядом стояло шесть больших каменных сосудов, которые иудеи использовали для обрядовых омовений. В каждый сосуд вмещалось по две или по три меры.

7 J esus said to them, Fill the waterpots with water. So they filled them up to the brim.

Иисус сказал слугам: – Наполните сосуды водой. Те наполнили их водой до верха.

8 T hen He said to them, Draw some out now and take it to the manager of the feast. So they took him some.

– А теперь зачерпните, – сказал Он, – и отнесите распорядителю пира. Они так и сделали.

9 A nd when the manager tasted the water just now turned into wine, not knowing where it came from—though the servants who had drawn the water knew—he called the bridegroom

Тот попробовал воду, ставшую вином. Он не знал, откуда взялось вино, об этом знали только слуги. Распорядитель отозвал в сторону жениха

10 A nd said to him, Everyone else serves his best wine first, and when people have drunk freely, then he serves that which is not so good; but you have kept back the good wine until now!

и упрекнул его: – Все подают вначале вино получше, а потом, когда гости напьются, подают вино похуже. А ты сберегал лучшее вино до сих пор.

11 T his, the first of His signs (miracles, wonderworks), Jesus performed in Cana of Galilee, and manifested His glory, and His disciples believed in Him.

Так Иисус положил начало знамениям в Кане Галилейской и явил Свою славу; и Его ученики уверовали в Него.

12 A fter that He went down to Capernaum with His mother and brothers and disciples, and they stayed there only a few days.

После этого Иисус вместе с матерью, братьями и учениками пошел в Капернаум, и там они пробыли несколько дней. Иисус прогоняет торговцев со двора храма (Мат. 21: 12-13; Мк. 11: 15-17; Лк. 19: 45-46)

13 N ow the Passover of the Jews was approaching, so Jesus went up to Jerusalem.

Приближалось время иудейской Пасхи, и Иисус пошел в Иерусалим.

14 T here He found in the temple '> enclosure] those who were selling oxen and sheep and doves, and the money changers sitting there.

В храме Он увидел людей, продававших быков, овец и голубей; у столов сидели те, кто менял деньги.

15 A nd having made a lash (a whip) of cords, He drove them all out of the temple '> enclosure]—both the sheep and the oxen—spilling and scattering the brokers’ money and upsetting and tossing around their trays (their stands).

Сделав из веревок плеть, Он выгнал из храма всех торговцев, а также овец и быков. Он опрокинул столы менял, рассыпав их монеты.

16 T hen to those who sold the doves He said, Take these things away (out of here)! Make not My Father’s house a house of merchandise (a marketplace, a sales shop)!

– Уберите это отсюда! – говорил Он продавцам голубей. – Как вы смеете превращать дом Моего Отца в базар!

17 A nd His disciples remembered that it is written, Zeal (the fervor of love) for Your house will eat Me up.

Его ученики вспомнили записанное в Писании: «Ревность о доме Твоем снедает Меня».

18 T hen the Jews retorted, What sign can You show us, seeing You do these things?

Тогда иудеи потребовали от Него: – Каким знамением Ты можешь доказать нам, что Ты имеешь право все это делать?

19 J esus answered them, Destroy (undo) this temple, and in three days I will raise it up again.

Иисус ответил им: – Разрушьте этот храм, и Я в три дня восстановлю его.

20 T hen the Jews replied, It took forty-six years to build this temple (sanctuary), and will You raise it up in three days?

Иудеи ответили: – Этот храм строился сорок шесть лет, а Ты собираешься восстановить его в три дня?

21 B ut He had spoken of the temple which was His body.

Но Иисус имел в виду не здание храма, а Свое тело.

22 W hen therefore He had risen from the dead, His disciples remembered that He said this. And so they believed and trusted and relied on the Scripture and the word (message) Jesus had spoken.

После того как Иисус воскрес из мертвых, ученики вспомнили Его слова и поверили Писанию и словам Иисуса.

23 B ut when He was in Jerusalem during the Passover Feast, many believed in His name after seeing His signs (wonders, miracles) which He was doing.

Пока Иисус был в Иерусалиме на празднике Пасхи, многие, видя знамения, которые Он творил, поверили в Него.

24 B ut Jesus did not trust Himself to them, because He knew all;

Но Сам Иисус не доверялся им, потому что Он знал всех,

25 A nd He did not need anyone to bear witness concerning man, for He Himself knew what was in human nature.

и Ему не нужно было знать о человеке по рассказам других, так как Он видел, что у каждого на душе.
