1 A nd six days after this, Jesus took with Him Peter and James and John his brother, and led them up on a high mountain by themselves.

Через шесть дней Иисус взял с Собой Петра, Иакова, его брата Иоанна и привел их одних на высокую гору.

2 A nd His appearance underwent a change in their presence; and His face shone clear and bright like the sun, and His clothing became as white as light.

И на глазах учеников вдруг Его облик изменился: лицо Его засияло, как солнце, а одежда стала белой, как свет.

3 A nd behold, there appeared to them Moses and Elijah, who kept talking with Him.

И вот они увидели Моисея и Илию, беседующих с Ним.

4 T hen Peter began to speak and said to Jesus, Lord, it is good and delightful that we are here; if You approve, I will put up three booths here—one for You and one for Moses and one for Elijah.

Петр сказал: – Господи, нам здесь так хорошо! Если Ты хочешь, я сделаю три шалаша: один Тебе, один Моисею и один Илии!

5 W hile he was still speaking, behold, a shining cloud '> composed of light] overshadowed them, and a voice from the cloud said, This is My Son, My Beloved, with Whom I am '> have always been] delighted. Listen to Him!

Пока он говорил, светлое облако накрыло их, и из облака прозвучал голос: – Это Мой любимый Сын, в Котором Моя радость. Слушайте Его!

6 W hen the disciples heard it, they fell on their faces and were seized with alarm and struck with fear.

Услышав эти слова, ученики в ужасе пали на лица свои.

7 B ut Jesus came and touched them and said, Get up, and do not be afraid.

Иисус подошел и прикоснулся к ним: – Встаньте, не бойтесь.

8 A nd when they raised their eyes, they saw no one but Jesus only.

Они подняли взгляд и уже никого, кроме Иисуса, не увидели.

9 A nd as they were going down the mountain, Jesus cautioned and commanded them, Do not mention to anyone what you have seen, until the Son of Man has been raised from the dead.

Когда они спускались с горы, Иисус сказал им: – Никому не говорите о том, что вы видели здесь, до тех пор, пока Сын Человеческий не воскреснет из мертвых.

10 T he disciples asked Him, Then why do the scribes say that Elijah must come first?

Ученики спросили Его: – Почему же учители Закона говорят, что прежде должен прийти Илия?

11 H e replied, Elijah does come and will get everything restored and ready.

Иисус ответил: – Илия действительно должен прийти и все приготовить.

12 B ut I tell you that Elijah has come already, and they did not know or recognize him, but did to him as they liked. So also the Son of Man is going to be treated and suffer at their hands.

Но, говорю вам, Илия уже пришел, только его не узнали и поступили с ним по своему произволу. Так же и Сыну Человеческому предстоит пострадать от их рук.

13 T hen the disciples understood that He spoke to them about John the Baptist.

Тогда ученики поняли, что Он говорил об Иоанне Крестителе. Исцеление мальчика, одержимого нечистым духом (Мк. 9: 14-29; Лк. 9: 37-42)

14 A nd when they approached the multitude, a man came up to Him, kneeling before Him and saying,

Когда они подошли к месту, где собрался народ, один мужчина пал перед Иисусом на колени

15 L ord, do pity and have mercy on my son, for he has epilepsy (is moonstruck) and he suffers terribly; for frequently he falls into the fire and many times into the water.

со словами: – Господи, сжалься над моим сыном, у него судороги, и он сильно мучается, часто бросается то в огонь, то в воду.

16 A nd I brought him to Your disciples, and they were not able to cure him.

Я привел его к Твоим ученикам, но они не смогли исцелить его.

17 A nd Jesus answered, O you unbelieving ( warped, wayward, rebellious) and thoroughly perverse generation! How long am I to remain with you? How long am I to bear with you? Bring him here to Me.

Иисус в ответ сказал: – Какое же вы неверующее и испорченное поколение! Сколько Мне еще быть с вами? Сколько Мне еще терпеть вас? Приведите мальчика ко Мне.

18 A nd Jesus rebuked the demon, and it came out of him, and the boy was cured instantly.

Иисус приказал демону выйти, и тот вышел из мальчика; в тот же миг ребенок стал совершенно здоров.

19 T hen the disciples came to Jesus and asked privately, Why could we not drive it out?

Потом, оставшись с Иисусом наедине, ученики спросили: – Почему же мы не смогли изгнать демона?

20 H e said to them, Because of the littleness of your faith '> firmly relying trust]. For truly I say to you, if you have faith '> that is living] like a grain of mustard seed, you can say to this mountain, Move from here to yonder place, and it will move; and nothing will be impossible to you.

Иисус ответил: – Потому что у вас мало веры. Говорю вам истину: если бы ваша вера была величиной хоть с горчичное зерно, то вы могли бы этой горе сказать: «Передвинься отсюда туда», – и она бы передвинулась; для вас не было бы ничего невозможного.

21 B ut this kind does not go out except by prayer and fasting.

Этот же вид демонов изгоняется только молитвой и постом. Иисус снова предсказывает Свою смерть и воскресение (Мк. 9: 30-32; Лк. 9: 43-45)

22 W hen they were going about here and there in Galilee, Jesus said to them, The Son of Man is going to be turned over into the hands of men.

Во время пребывания в Галилее Иисус сказал ученикам: – Сын Человеческий будет предан в руки людей,

23 A nd they will kill Him, and He will be raised again on the third day. And they were deeply and exceedingly grieved and distressed.

которые убьют Его, но на третий день Он воскреснет. Учеников это сильно опечалило. Налог на храм

24 W hen they arrived in Capernaum, the collectors of the half shekel went up to Peter and said, Does not your Teacher pay the half shekel?

Когда они вернулись в Капернаум, к Петру подошли сборщики налога на нужды храма и спросили: – А ваш Учитель платит налог на храм?

25 H e answered, Yes. And when he came home, Jesus spoke to him first, saying, What do you think, Simon? From whom do earthly rulers collect duties or tribute—from their own sons or from others not of their own family?

– Платит, – ответил он. Петр вошел в дом и еще не успел ничего сказать, как Иисус спросил: – Симон, как тебе кажется, с кого земные цари взимают пошлины или дань, со своих сыновей или с чужеземцев?

26 A nd when Peter said, From other people not of their own family, Jesus said to him, Then the sons are exempt.

– С чужеземцев, – ответил Петр. – Значит, сыновья свободны, – заключил Иисус. –

27 H owever, in order not to give offense and cause them to stumble '> to judge unfavorably and unjustly] go down to the sea and throw in a hook. Take the first fish that comes up, and when you open its mouth you will find there a shekel. Take it and give it to them to pay the temple tax for Me and for yourself.

Но чтобы нам никого не обидеть, пойди к озеру, забрось удочку, вытащи первую рыбу, что попадется на крючок, открой ей рот, и там ты найдешь монету достоинством в четыре драхмы. Возьми ее и заплати за Меня и за себя.
