1 S o they brought the ark of God and set it in the midst of the tent which David had pitched for it, and they offered burnt offerings and peace offerings before God.

Божий ковчег принесли и поставили в шатре, который разбил для него Давид, и вознесли перед Богом всесожжения и жертвы примирения.

2 A nd when David had finished offering the burnt offerings and the peace offerings, he blessed the people in the name of the Lord.

Закончив приносить всесожжения и жертвы примирения, он благословил народ во Имя Господа.

3 A nd he distributed to everyone of Israel, both man and woman, to everyone a loaf of bread, a portion of meat, and a cake of raisins.

Затем он раздал каждому израильтянину и израильтянке по одной лепешке, а также инжир и изюм.

4 H e appointed Levites to minister before the ark of the Lord and to celebrate, thanking and praising the Lord, the God of Israel:

5 A saph was the chief, next to him Zechariah, Jeiel (Jaaziel), Shemiramoth, Jehiel, Mattithiah, Eliab, and Benaiah, Obed-edom and Jeiel, who were to play harps and lyres; Asaph was to sound the cymbals;

Асаф был руководителем, Захария вторым после него, затем Иеил, Шемирамоф, Иехиил, Маттифия, Елиав, Ванея и Овид-Эдом с Иеилом. Они должны были играть на лирах и арфах, Асаф на тарелках,

6 B enaiah and Jahaziel the priests were to blow trumpets continually before the ark of the covenant of God.

7 T hen on that day David first entrusted to Asaph and his brethren the singing of thanks to the Lord:

8 O give thanks to the Lord, call on His name; make known His doings among the peoples!

Благодарите Господа, призывайте Его Имя; возвещайте среди народов о Его делах.

9 S ing to Him, sing praises to Him; meditate on and talk of all His wondrous works and devoutly praise them!

Пойте Ему, пойте Ему хвалу, говорите о всех Его чудесах.

10 G lory in His holy name; let the hearts of those rejoice who seek the Lord!

Хвалитесь Его святым Именем, пусть веселятся сердца ищущих Господа.

11 S eek the Lord and His strength; yearn for and seek His face and to be in His presence continually!

Ищите Господа и силу Его: ищите лица Его всегда.

12 r emember the marvelous deeds which He has done, His miracles, and the judgments He uttered,

Помните чудеса, которые Он сотворил, знамения Его и суды, что Он произнес.

13 O you offspring of of Israel His servants, you children of Jacob, His chosen ones!

О, потомки Израиля, слуги Его, о, сыновья Иакова, избранные Его.

14 H e is the Lord our God; His judgments are in all the earth.

Он – Господь, наш Бог; суды Его по всей земле.

15 B e mindful of His covenant forever, the promise which He commanded and established to a thousand generations,

Помните: вечен Его завет – слово, данное Им для тысяч поколений, –

16 T he covenant which He made with Abraham, and His sworn promise to Isaac.

завет, что Он заключил с Авраамом, и клятву Его Исааку.

17 H e confirmed it as a statute to Jacob, and to Israel for an everlasting covenant,

Утвердил Он это Иакову в Закон и Израилю вечным заветом,

18 S aying, To you I will give the land of Canaan, the measured portion of your possession and inheritance.

сказав: «Я отдам тебе ханаанскую землю в удел твоего наследия».

19 W hen they were but few, even a very few, and only temporary residents and strangers in it,

Когда были они малочисленны, и незначительны, и были чужеземцами на этой земле,

20 W hen they went from nation to nation, and from one kingdom to another people,

когда они странствовали из одной страны в другую и из одного царства к народу другому,

21 H e allowed no man to do them wrong; yes, He reproved kings for their sakes,

Он никому не давал их притеснять и укорял за них царей:

22 S aying, Touch not My anointed, and do My prophets no harm.

«Не трогайте помазанников Моих и пророкам Моим не делайте зла».

23 S ing to the Lord, all the earth; show forth from day to day His salvation.

Воспойте Господу, вся земля, возвещайте о Его спасении каждый день.

24 D eclare His glory among the nations, His marvelous works among all peoples.

Возвещайте Его славу среди народов, чудеса Его – среди всех людей,

25 F or great is the Lord and greatly to be praised; He also is to be feared above all so-called gods.

потому что велик Господь и достоин беспредельной хвалы; Он внушает страх более всех богов.

26 F or all the gods of the people are idols, but the Lord made the heavens.

Все боги народов – идолы, а Господь сотворил небеса.

27 H onor and majesty are in His presence; strength and joy are in His sanctuary.

Слава и величие перед Ним, сила и радость на месте Его.

28 A scribe to the Lord, you families of the peoples, ascribe to the Lord glory and strength,

Воздайте Господу, народы, воздайте Ему славу и силу.

29 A scribe to the Lord the glory due His name. Bring an offering and come before Him; worship the Lord in the beauty of holiness and in holy array.

Воздайте Господу славу, присущую Его Имени. Несите дар, предстаньте пред Ним, склонитесь перед Господом в великолепии Его святости.

30 T remble and reverently fear before Him, all the earth’s peoples; the world also shall be established, so it cannot be moved.

Трепещи перед Ним, вся земля! Прочно мир утвержден – не поколеблется.

31 L et the heavens be glad and let the earth rejoice; and let men say among the nations, The Lord reigns!

Пусть радуются небеса, пусть ликует земля, и пусть скажут среди народов: «Господь правит!»

32 L et the sea roar, and all the things that fill it; let the fields rejoice, and all that is in them.

Пусть шумит море и все, что его наполняет, пусть ликует поле и все, что на нем,

33 T hen shall the trees of the wood sing out for joy before the Lord, for He comes to judge and govern the earth.

и да возликуют все деревья лесные, будут петь от радости перед Господом, ведь Он идет судить землю.

34 O give thanks to the Lord, for He is good; for His mercy and loving-kindness endure forever!

Славьте Господа, потому что Он благ милость Его – навеки.

35 A nd say, Save us, O God of our salvation; gather us together and deliver us from the nations, that we may give thanks to Your holy name and glory in Your praise.

Взывайте: «Спаси нас, Боже, Спаситель наш; собери нас, защити нас от народов, чтобы мы воздали благодарность Твоему святому Имени и хвалились Твоею славой».

36 B lessed be the Lord, the God of Israel, forever and ever! And all the people said Amen! and praised the Lord.

Прославлен будь, Господь, Бог Израиля, от века до века! И весь народ сказал: «Аминь!» – и восславил Господа. Служение Господу в Иерусалиме и Гаваоне

37 S o David left Asaph and his brethren before the ark of the covenant of the Lord to minister before the ark continually, as each day’s work required,

Давид оставил Асафа и его родственников перед ковчегом Господнего завета, чтобы они служили там постоянно, по потребностям каждого дня.

38 A nd Obed-edom with sixty-eight kinsmen. Also Obed-edom son of Jeduthun, and Hosah, were to be gatekeepers.

Еще он оставил Овид-Эдома и шестьдесят восемь его родственников, чтобы они служили вместе с ними. Овид-Эдом, сын Идутуна, и Хоса были служащими у ворот.

39 A nd David left Zadok the priest and his brethren the priests before the tabernacle of the Lord in the high place that was at Gibeon

Давид оставил священника Цадока и его собратьев-священников перед скинией Господа на возвышенности в Гаваоне,

40 T o offer burnt offerings to the Lord upon the altar of burnt offering continually, morning and evening, and to do all that is written in the Law of the Lord which He commanded Israel.

чтобы они постоянно приносили Господу всесожжения на жертвеннике для всесожжений, утром и вечером, так, как написано в Законе Господа, который Он дал Израилю.

41 W ith them were Heman and Jeduthun and the rest who were chosen and expressly named to give thanks to the Lord, for His mercy and loving-kindness endure forever.

С ними были Еман и Идутун с прочими избранными, которые были назначены поименно, чтобы славить Господа ведь «милость Его навеки».

42 W ith them were Heman and Jeduthun with trumpets and cymbals for those who should sound aloud, and instruments for accompanying the songs of God. And the sons of Jeduthun were to be at the gate.

Еман и Идутун отвечали за игру на трубах и тарелках, а также на прочих музыкальных инструментах, когда пелись песни Богу. Сыновья Идутуна были поставлены у ворот.

43 T hen all the people departed, each man to his house, and David returned home to bless his household.

Когда весь народ разошелся по домам, вернулся и Давид, чтобы благословить своих домашних.
