3 W e ought and indeed are obligated to give thanks always to God for you, brethren, as is fitting, because your faith is growing exceedingly and the love of every one of you each toward the others is increasing and abounds.

Мы всегда должны благодарить Бога за вас, братья, и это правильно, потому что ваша вера растет все больше и больше, увеличивается и любовь каждого из вас друг ко другу.

4 A nd this is a cause of our mentioning you with pride among the churches (assemblies) of God for your steadfastness (your unflinching endurance and patience) and your firm faith in the midst of all the persecutions and crushing distresses and afflictions under which you are holding up.

Мы с гордостью говорим в Божьих церквах о вашей стойкости и о вере, которую вы проявили во всех преследованиях и несчастьях, переносимых вами.

5 T his is positive proof of the just and right judgment of God to the end that you may be deemed deserving of His kingdom, for the sake of which you are also suffering.

Все это – свидетельство тому, что Бог судит справедливо и что в конце концов вы будете признаны достойными Божьего Царства, за которое вы и страдаете.

6 s ince it is a righteous thing with God to repay with distress and affliction those who distress and afflict you,

Бог справедлив, и Он отплатит несчастьями тем, кто причиняет несчастья вам,

7 A nd to '> recompense] you who are so distressed and afflicted relief and rest along with us when the Lord Jesus is revealed from heaven with His mighty angels in a flame of fire,

а нам с вами, перенесшим такие несчастья, Он даст покой. Это произойдет тогда, когда Господь Иисус придет с небес с могущественными ангелами

8 T o deal out retribution (chastisement and vengeance) upon those who do not know or perceive or become acquainted with God, and who ignore and refuse to obey the Gospel of our Lord Jesus Christ.

в пламени огня, чтобы наказать всех тех, кто не познал Бога и остался непослушным Радостной Вести нашего Господа Иисуса Христа.

9 S uch people will pay the penalty and suffer the punishment of everlasting ruin (destruction and perdition) and eternal exclusion and banishment from the presence of the Lord and from the glory of His power,

Они будут наказаны вечной гибелью: будут навсегда отделены от Господа и от славы Его могущества.

10 W hen He comes to be glorified in His saints, and be marveled at and admired in all who have believed, because our witnessing among you was confidently accepted and believed.

Это произойдет в тот День, когда Он придет, чтобы быть прославленным среди Своего святого народа и вызвать восхищение у всех верующих. И вы тоже будете среди них, потому что вы поверили нашему свидетельству.

11 W ith this in view we constantly pray for you, that our God may deem and count you worthy of calling and every gracious purpose of goodness, and with power may complete in every particular work of faith (faith which is that leaning of the whole human personality on God in absolute trust and confidence in His power, wisdom, and goodness).

Поэтому мы постоянно молимся о вас, чтобы Бог наш счел вас достойными вашего призвания, и просим, чтобы Своей силой Он исполнил каждое ваше доброе начинание и дело веры.

12 T hus may the name of our Lord Jesus Christ be glorified and become more glorious through and in you, and may you in Him according to the grace (favor and blessing) of our God and the Lord Jesus Christ (the Messiah, the Anointed One).

Мы молимся о том, чтобы по благодати нашего Бога и Господа Иисуса Христа было прославлено благодаря вам Имя нашего Господа Иисуса, и чтобы вы были прославлены вместе с Ним.
