1 N ow after this the Lord chose and appointed seventy others and sent them out ahead of Him, two by two, into every town and place where He Himself was about to come (visit).

После этого Господь назначил еще семьдесят учеников и послал их по два впереди Себя в каждый из городов и в каждое место, куда Он Сам собирался прийти.

2 A nd He said to them, The harvest indeed is abundant '> there is much ripe grain], but the farmhands are few. Pray therefore the Lord of the harvest to send out laborers into His harvest.

Он сказал им: – Жатвы много, а работников мало. Поэтому просите Господина жатвы, чтобы Он выслал работников на Свою жатву.

3 G o your way; behold, I send you out like lambs into the midst of wolves.

Идите! Вот, Я посылаю вас, как ягнят в волчью стаю.

4 C arry no purse, no provisions bag, no sandals; refrain from saluting and wishing anyone well along the way.

Не берите с собой ни кошелька, ни сумки, ни сандалий и по дороге никого не приветствуйте.

5 W hatever house you enter, first say, Peace be to this household! '> Freedom from all the distresses that result from sin be with this family].

Когда вы войдете в дом, скажите вначале: «Мир этому дому».

6 A nd if anyone of peace and blessedness is there, the peace and blessedness you wish shall come upon him; but if not, it shall come back to you.

Если в том доме живет человек мира, то ваш мир будет на нем, если же нет, то он вернется к вам.

7 A nd stay on in the same house, eating and drinking what they provide, for the laborer is worthy of his wages. Do not keep moving from house to house.

Оставайтесь в этом доме, ешьте и пейте то, что вам дадут, потому что работник заслуживает вознаграждения. Не переходите из дома в дом.

8 W henever you go into a town and they receive and accept and welcome you, eat what is set before you;

Если вы войдете в город и вас там примут, то ешьте все, что вам предложат,

9 A nd heal the sick in it and say to them, The kingdom of God has come close to you.

исцеляйте их больных, которые там есть, и говорите им: «Приблизилось к вам Царство Бога».

10 B ut whenever you go into a town and they do not receive and accept and welcome you, go out into its streets and say,

А если вы войдете в какой-либо город и там вас не примут, то идите по улицам этого города и говорите:

11 E ven the dust of your town that clings to our feet we are wiping off against you; yet know and understand this: the kingdom of God has come near you.

«Даже пыль вашего города, что пристала к нашим ногам, мы отряхиваем на вас, но все же знайте: Царство Бога приблизилось!»

12 I tell you, it shall be more tolerable in that day for Sodom than for that town.

Говорю вам, что в тот День Содому будет легче, чем этому городу.

13 W oe to you, Chorazin! Woe to you, Bethsaida! For if the mighty miracles performed in you had been performed in Tyre and Sidon, they would have repented long ago, sitting in sackcloth and ashes.

Горе тебе, Хоразин! Горе тебе, Вифсаида! Ведь если бы в Тире и Сидоне были совершены те же чудеса, что в вас, то они бы давно раскаялись, одевшись в рубище и сидя в пепле.

14 H owever, it shall be more tolerable in the judgment for Tyre and Sidon than for you.

Но Тиру и Сидону будет легче на Суде, чем вам.

15 A nd you, Capernaum, will you be exalted unto heaven? You shall be brought down to Hades (the regions of the dead).

И ты, Капернаум, будешь ли ты вознесен до небес? Нет, ты будешь сброшен в ад.

16 H e who hears and heeds you hears and heeds Me; and he who slights and rejects you slights and rejects Me; and he who slights and rejects Me slights and rejects Him who sent Me.

Потом Он сказал ученикам: – Кто слушает вас, слушает Меня, и кто отвергает вас, тот отвергает Меня; а кто отвергает Меня, отвергает Пославшего Меня. Возвращение семидесяти вестников (Мат. 11: 25-27; 13: 16-17)

17 T he seventy returned with joy, saying, Lord, even the demons are subject to us in Your name!

Семьдесят учеников возвратились к Иисусу радостные: – Господи, – говорили они, – даже демоны подчиняются нам, когда мы приказываем им Твоим Именем!

18 A nd He said to them, I saw Satan falling like a lightning from heaven.

Иисус ответил: – Я видел, как сатана упал с неба, словно молния!

19 B ehold! I have given you authority and power to trample upon serpents and scorpions, and over all the power that the enemy; and nothing shall in any way harm you.

Вот, Я дал вам власть наступать без вреда для вас на змей и скорпионов и преодолевать всю силу врага.

20 N evertheless, do not rejoice at this, that the spirits are subject to you, but rejoice that your names are enrolled in heaven.

Но радуйтесь не тому, что духи вам подчиняются, а тому, что ваши имена записаны на небесах.

21 I n that same hour He rejoiced and gloried in the Holy Spirit and said, I thank You, Father, Lord of heaven and earth, that You have concealed these things from the wise and understanding and learned, and revealed them to babes (the childish, unskilled, and untaught). Yes, Father, for such was Your gracious will and choice and good pleasure.

Тут Иисус возликовал в Святом Духе и сказал: – Я славлю Тебя, Отец, Господь неба и земли, за то, что Ты, утаив от мудрецов и ученых, открыл это младенцам. Да, Отец, это было угодно Тебе!

22 A ll things have been given over into My power by My Father; and no one knows Who the Son is except the Father, or Who the Father is except the Son and anyone to whom the Son may choose to reveal and make Him known.

Все передано Мне Моим Отцом. Никто не знает, кто есть Сын, кроме Отца, и никто не знает, кто есть Отец, кроме Сына и того, кого Сын избирает, чтобы открыть ему Отца.

23 T hen turning to His disciples, He said privately, Blessed (happy, to be envied) are those whose eyes see what you see!

Потом Он повернулся к Своим ученикам и сказал так, чтобы слышали только они: – Блаженны глаза, видящие то, что вы видите.

24 F or I tell you that many prophets and kings longed to see what you see and they did not see it, and to hear what you hear and they did not hear it.

Я говорю вам, что много пророков и царей хотели увидеть то, что вы видите, но не увидели, хотели услышать то, что вы слышите, но не услышали. Притча о милосердном самарянине (Мат. 22: 34-40; Мк. 12: 28-31)

25 A nd then a certain lawyer arose to try (test, tempt) Him, saying, Teacher, what am I to do to inherit everlasting life ?

Тут встал один учитель Закона и задал Иисусу вопрос, чтобы испытать Его. – Учитель, – спросил он, – что мне делать, чтобы наследовать вечную жизнь?

26 J esus said to him, What is written in the Law? How do you read it?

– А что сказано в Законе? – спросил в Свою очередь Иисус. – Что ты там читаешь?

27 A nd he replied, You must love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your strength and with all your mind; and your neighbor as yourself.

Тот ответил: – «Люби Господа, Бога твоего, всем сердцем твоим и всей душой твоей, всей силой твоей и всем разумом твоим», и «ближнего твоего, как самого себя».

28 A nd Jesus said to him, You have answered correctly; do this, and you will live.

– Правильно ты ответил, – сказал ему Иисус. – Делай так, и ты будешь жить.

29 A nd he, determined to acquit himself of reproach, said to Jesus, And who is my neighbor?

Но учитель Закона, желая как-то оправдать себя, спросил: – А кто мой ближний?

30 J esus, taking him up, replied, A certain man was going from Jerusalem down to Jericho, and he fell among robbers, who stripped him of his clothes and belongings and beat him and went their way, '> unconcernedly] leaving him half dead, as it happened.

В ответ Иисус сказал ему: – Один человек шел из Иерусалима в Иерихон. По дороге на него напали разбойники, которые раздели его, избили до полусмерти и ушли.

31 N ow by coincidence a certain priest was going down along that road, and when he saw him, he passed by on the other side.

Случайно по той же дороге проходил священник и, увидев этого человека, прошел мимо по другой стороне дороги.

32 A Levite likewise came down to the place and saw him, and passed by on the other side.

Так же поступил и левит: дойдя до этого места и увидев пострадавшего, он обошел его стороной.

33 B ut a certain Samaritan, as he traveled along, came down to where he was; and when he saw him, he was moved with pity and sympathy,

Но вот к тому месту, где он лежал, подошел проезжавший мимо самарянин. Он увидел беднягу, и сжалился над ним.

34 A nd went to him and dressed his wounds, pouring on oil and wine. Then he set him on his own beast and brought him to an inn and took care of him.

Он подошел и перевязал его раны, промыв их маслом и вином. Затем он посадил пострадавшего на своего осла, привез его в гостиницу и там еще ухаживал за ним.

35 A nd the next day he took out two denarii and gave to the innkeeper, saying, Take care of him; and whatever more you spend, I will repay you when I return.

На следующий день он дал хозяину гостиницы два динария и сказал: «Присмотри за ним, а когда я буду возвращаться, то оплачу все дополнительные расходы».

36 W hich of these three do you think proved himself a neighbor to him who fell among the robbers?

Кто из этих трех был, по-твоему, ближним человеку, пострадавшему от рук разбойников?

37 H e answered, The one who showed pity and mercy to him. And Jesus said to him, Go and do likewise.

Учитель Закона ответил: – Тот, кто проявил к нему милость. Тогда Иисус сказал ему: – Иди и ты поступай так же. Что на самом деле нужно человеку

38 N ow while they were on their way, it occurred that Jesus entered a certain village, and a woman named Martha received and welcomed Him into her house.

По пути Иисус с учениками пришли в одно селение. Там женщина, по имени Марфа, пригласила Его в свой дом.

39 A nd she had a sister named Mary, who seated herself at the Lord’s feet and was listening to His teaching.

У нее была сестра, которую звали Мария. Мария сидела у ног Иисуса и слушала, что Он говорил.

40 B ut Martha was distracted with much serving; and she came up to Him and said, Lord, is it nothing to You that my sister has left me to serve alone? Tell her then to help me!

Марфа же была занята приготовлением обеда. Она подошла к Иисусу и сказала: – Господи, Тебе нет дела до того, что моя сестра оставила всю работу на меня одну? Скажи ей, чтобы она помогла мне!

41 B ut the Lord replied to her by saying, Martha, Martha, you are anxious and troubled about many things;

– Марфа, Марфа, – ответил Господь, – ты тревожишься и заботишься о многом,

42 T here is need of only one or but a few things. Mary has chosen the good portion '> that which is to her advantage], which shall not be taken away from her.

а нужно ведь только одно. Мария выбрала лучшее, и это у нее не отнимется.
