1 A nd you, son of man, take a tile and lay it before you, and make upon it a drawing of a city, even Jerusalem.

– А ты, сын человеческий, возьми кирпич, положи перед собой и нарисуй на нем город Иерусалим.

2 A nd put siege works against it, build a siege wall against it, and cast up a mound against it; set camps also against it and set battering rams against it round about.

Устрой против него осаду: сооруди укрепления, насыпь осадный вал, расположи под ним лагеря и окружи его стенобитными орудиями.

3 M oreover, take a plate of iron and place it for an iron wall between you and the city; and set your face toward it and it shall be besieged, and you shall press the siege against it. This is a sign to the house of Israel.

Возьми железный противень, поставь его железной стеной между собой и городом и повернись к нему лицом. Он будет осажден, а ты осаждай его. Это будет знамением дому Израиля.

4 T hen lie upon your left side to bear symbolically the iniquity of the house of the ten tribes of Israel upon that side. According to the number of days that you shall lie upon it you shall bear their iniquity.

Ты же ляг на левый бок и возложи на себя грех дома Израиля. Неси их грех столько дней, сколько будешь лежать на боку.

5 F or I have laid upon you the years of their iniquity, according to the number of the days, 390 days; so you shall bear the iniquity of the house of Israel.

Я определил тебе столько дней, сколько лет они грешили: триста девяносто дней ты будешь нести грех дома Израиля.

6 A nd when you have fulfilled the days for Israel, lie again, but on your right side, and you shall bear the iniquity of the house of Judah forty days. I have appointed you one day for each year.

Когда исполнишь это, ляг снова, но теперь на правый бок, и неси грех дома Иуды. Я определил тебе сорок дней, по дню за каждый год.

7 T herefore you shall set your face toward the siege of Jerusalem and your arm shall be uncovered, and you shall prophesy against.

Обрати лицо и обнаженную руку к осажденному Иерусалиму и пророчествуй против него.

8 A nd, behold, I will lay bands upon you and you shall not turn yourself from one side to another till you have ended the days of your siege.

Смотри, Я налагаю на тебя путы, чтобы ты не мог перевернуться с одного бока на другой, пока не окончишь дней осады.

9 A lso take wheat, barley, beans, lentils, millet, and spelt, and put them into one vessel and make bread of them. According to the number of the days that you shall lie upon your side, 390 days you shall eat of it.

Возьми пшеницу и ячмень, фасоль и чечевицу, просо и полбу, положи в один сосуд и сделай себе хлеб. Ты будешь есть его те триста девяносто дней, что будешь лежать на боку.

10 A nd the food you eat shall be by weight, twenty shekels or a full half pound a day, to be eaten at a fixed time each day.

Отвесь двадцать шекелей пищи, чтобы съедать каждый день, и ешь ее в установленное время.

11 Y ou shall drink water by measure also, about one quart or the sixth part of a hin; you shall drink at a fixed time each day.

Также отмерь шестую часть гина воды и пей в установленное время.

12 A nd you shall eat your food as barley cakes and you shall bake it with human dung as fuel in the sight of the people.

Ешь пищу, как ячменные лепешки; пеки их на глазах у людей на человеческом кале, –

13 A nd the Lord said, Even thus shall the children of Israel eat their defiled bread among the nations to whom I will drive them.

сказал Господь. – Вот так народ Израиля будет есть оскверненную пищу среди тех народов, к которым Я их изгоню.

14 T hen said I, Ah, Lord God! Behold, I have never defiled myself. From my youth up even till now have I not eaten of that which dies of itself or is torn in pieces; neither did there ever come abominable flesh into my mouth.

Тогда я сказал: – О нет, Владыка Господь! Я никогда не осквернялся. С юности и до сегодняшнего дня я никогда не ел ни мертвечины, ни растерзанного диким зверем. Нечистое мясо не входило в мои уста.

15 T hen He said to me, Behold, I will let you use cow’s dung instead of human dung, and you shall prepare your food with it.

– Хорошо, – сказал Он, – Я позволяю тебе печь твой хлеб на коровьем навозе, вместо человеческого кала. –

16 M oreover, He said to me, Son of man, behold, I will break the staff of bread in Jerusalem; and they shall eat bread rationed by weight and with fearfulness, and they shall drink water rationed by measure and with dismay (silent, speechless grief caused by the impending starvation),

Потом Он сказал мне: – Сын человеческий, Я уничтожу запасы пищи в Иерусалиме. Народ будет есть свою часть еды в тревоге, и пить свою часть воды в ужасе,

17 I n order that they may lack bread and water and look at one another in dismay and waste away for their iniquity.

потому что пищи и воды не будет хватать. Они будут ужасаться при виде друг друга, и угасать из-за своего греха.
