1 T hese are the journeys of the children of Israel, when they went forth out of the land of Egypt by their hosts under the hand of Moses and Aaron.

2 A nd Moses wrote their goings out according to their journeys by the commandment of Jehovah: and these are their journeys according to their goings out.

3 A nd they journeyed from Rameses in the first month, on the fifteenth day of the first month; on the morrow after the passover the children of Israel went out with a high hand in the sight of all the Egyptians,

Израильтяне тронулись в путь из Раамсеса в пятнадцатый день первого месяца, в день после Пасхи. Они выступили смело на виду у египтян,

4 w hile the Egyptians were burying all their first-born, whom Jehovah had smitten among them: upon their gods also Jehovah executed judgments.

хоронивших первенцев, которых умертвил Господь. Так Господь совершил суд над их богами.

5 A nd the children of Israel journeyed from Rameses, and encamped in Succoth.

Израильтяне покинули Раамсес и остановились в Суккоте.

6 A nd they journeyed from Succoth, and encamped in Etham, which is in the edge of the wilderness.

Они покинули Суккот и остановились в Етаме, на краю пустыни.

7 A nd they journeyed from Etham, and turned back unto Pihahiroth, which is before Baal-zephon: and they encamped before Migdol.

Они покинули Етам, повернули к Пи-Гахирофу, что на востоке от Баал-Цефона, и остановились рядом с Мигдолом.

8 A nd they journeyed from before Hahiroth, and passed through the midst of the sea into the wilderness: and they went three days' journey in the wilderness of Etham, and encamped in Marah.

9 A nd they journeyed from Marah, and came unto Elim: and in Elim were twelve springs of water, and threescore and ten palm-trees; and they encamped there.

38 A nd Aaron the priest went up into mount Hor at the commandment of Jehovah, and died there, in the fortieth year after the children of Israel were come out of the land of Egypt, in the fifth month, on the first day of the month.

По повелению Господа священник Аарон поднялся на гору Ор и умер там в первый день пятого месяца сорокового года после того, как израильтяне ушли из Египта.

39 A nd Aaron was a hundred and twenty and three years old when he died in mount Hor.

Аарону было сто двадцать три года, когда он умер на горе Ор.

40 A nd the Canaanite, the king of Arad, who dwelt in the South in the land of Canaan, heard of the coming of the children of Israel.

Ханаанский царь Арада, расположенного в Негеве ханаанском, услышал, что идут израильтяне.

41 A nd they journeyed from mount Hor, and encamped in Zalmonah.

Они покинули гору Ор и остановились в Салмоне.

42 A nd they journeyed from Zalmonah, and encamped in Punon.

Они покинули Салмону и остановились в Пуноне.

43 A nd they journeyed from Punon, and encamped in Oboth.

Они покинули Пунон и остановились в Овоте.

44 A nd they journeyed from Oboth, and encamped in Iye-abarim, in the border of Moab.

Они покинули Овот и остановились в Ийе-Авариме, на пределах Моава.

45 A nd they journeyed from Iyim, and encamped in Dibon-gad.

46 A nd they journeyed from Dibon-gad, and encamped in Almon-diblathaim.

47 A nd they journeyed from Almon-diblathaim, and encamped in the mountains of Abarim, before Nebo.

48 A nd they journeyed from the mountains of Abarim, and encamped in the plains of Moab by the Jordan at Jericho.

49 A nd they encamped by the Jordan, from Beth-jeshimoth even unto Abel-shittim in the plains of Moab.

На равнинах Моава они остановились вдоль Иордана от Бет-Ешимота до Авел-Шиттима.

50 A nd Jehovah spake unto Moses in the plains of Moab by the Jordan at Jericho, saying,

На равнинах Моава, у Иордана, напротив Иерихона, Господь сказал Моисею:

51 S peak unto the children of Israel, and say unto them, When ye pass over the Jordan into the land of Canaan,

– Говори с израильтянами и скажи им: «Когда вы перейдете через Иордан в Ханаан,

52 t hen ye shall drive out all the inhabitants of the land from before you, and destroy all their figured stones, and destroy all their molten images, and demolish all their high places:

прогоните всех жителей этой земли. Сокрушите их каменных и литых идолов и разорите их святилища на возвышенностях.

53 a nd ye shall take possession of the land, and dwell therein; for unto you have I given the land to possess it.

Завладейте этой землей и поселитесь в ней, потому что Я отдал эту землю вам во владение.

54 A nd ye shall inherit the land by lot according to your families; to the more ye shall give the more inheritance, and to the fewer thou shalt give the less inheritance: wheresoever the lot falleth to any man, that shall be his; according to the tribes of your fathers shall ye inherit.

Разделите землю по жребию между кланами. Большему клану дайте больший надел, а меньшему – меньший. Что выпадет им по жребию, то и будет их. Разделите землю между отцовскими родами.

55 B ut if ye will not drive out the inhabitants of the land from before you, then shall those that ye let remain of them be as pricks in your eyes, and as thorns in your sides, and they shall vex you in the land wherein ye dwell.

Если вы не прогоните обитателей этой земли, то те, кому вы дадите остаться, станут у вас, как шипы в глазах и колючки в боку. Они лишат вас покоя на земле, в которой вы будете жить.

56 A nd it shall come to pass, that, as I thought to do unto them, so will I do unto you.

Тогда Я сделаю с вами то, что собираюсь сделать с ними».
