1 A nd it came to pass the same year, in the beginning of the reign of Zedekiah king of Judah, in the fourth year, in the fifth month, that Hananiah the son of Azzur, the prophet, who was of Gibeon, spake unto me in the house of Jehovah, in the presence of the priests and of all the people, saying,

В пятом месяце того же года, четвертого года, в начале правления Цедекии, царя Иудеи, пророк Ханания, сын Азура, из Гаваона сказал мне в доме Господнем при священниках и при всем народе:

2 T hus speaketh Jehovah of hosts, the God of Israel, saying, I have broken the yoke of the king of Babylon.

– Так говорит Господь Сил, Бог Израиля: «Я разобью ярмо царя вавилонского.

3 W ithin two full years will I bring again into this place all the vessels of Jehovah's house, that Nebuchadnezzar king of Babylon took away from this place, and carried to Babylon:

Не пройдет двух лет, как Я верну сюда всю утварь дома Господня, которую Навуходоносор, царь Вавилона, забрал отсюда и увез в Вавилон.

4 a nd I will bring again to this place Jeconiah the son of Jehoiakim, king of Judah, with all the captives of Judah, that went to Babylon, saith Jehovah; for I will break the yoke of the king of Babylon.

Я верну сюда и иудейского царя Иехонию, сына Иоакима, и всех остальных пленников из Иудеи, которых увели в Вавилон, – возвещает Господь, – потому что Я разобью ярмо царя Вавилона».

5 T hen the prophet Jeremiah said unto the prophet Hananiah in the presence of the priests, and in the presence of all the people that stood in the house of Jehovah,

И пророк Иеремия ответил пророку Ханании при священниках и при всем народе, который стоял в доме Господнем.

6 e ven the prophet Jeremiah said, Amen: Jehovah do so; Jehovah perform thy words which thou hast prophesied, to bring again the vessels of Jehovah's house, and all them of the captivity, from Babylon unto this place.

Он сказал: – Аминь! Пусть Господь сделает так! Пусть Господь исполнит слова твоего пророчества, вернув сюда из Вавилона утварь Господнего дома и всех пленников.

7 N evertheless hear thou now this word that I speak in thine ears, and in the ears of all the people:

Но послушай-ка, что я скажу тебе и всему этому народу:

8 T he prophets that have been before me and before thee of old prophesied against many countries, and against great kingdoms, of war, and of evil, and of pestilence.

пророки, что были до тебя и до меня, издревле пророчили многим странам и великим царствам войны, невзгоды и мор.

9 T he prophet that prophesieth of peace, when the word of the prophet shall come to pass, then shall the prophet be known, that Jehovah hath truly sent him.

Но пророка, который предсказывал мир, признавали истинным Господним посланником лишь тогда, когда его пророчество сбывалось.

10 T hen Hananiah the prophet took the bar from off the prophet Jeremiah's neck, and brake it.

Тогда пророк Ханания снял ярмо с шеи пророка Иеремии, разбил его

11 A nd Hananiah spake in the presence of all the people, saying, Thus saith Jehovah: Even so will I break the yoke of Nebuchadnezzar king of Babylon within two full years from off the neck of all the nations. And the prophet Jeremiah went his way.

и сказал всему народу: – Так говорит Господь: «Не пройдет двух лет, как Я также разобью ярмо, которое Навуходоносор, царь Вавилона, надел на шею всех народов». И пророк Иеремия пошел своей дорогой.

12 T hen the word of Jehovah came unto Jeremiah, after that Hananiah the prophet had broken the bar from off the neck of the prophet Jeremiah, saying,

Вскоре после того, как пророк Ханания разбил ярмо, надетое на шею пророка Иеремии, было слово Господне к Иеремии:

13 G o, and tell Hananiah, saying, Thus saith Jehovah: Thou hast broken the bars of wood; but thou hast made in their stead bars of iron.

– Иди и скажи Ханании: «Так говорит Господь: Ты разбил деревянное ярмо, но его сменит ярмо железное.

14 F or thus saith Jehovah of hosts, the God of Israel: I have put a yoke of iron upon the neck of all these nations, that they may served Nebuchadnezzar king of Babylon; and they shall serve him: and I have given him the beasts of the field also.

Так говорит Господь Сил, Бог Израиля: Я надену на шею всех этих народов ярмо из железа, чтобы заставить их служить Навуходоносору, царю Вавилона, и они будут ему служить. Я дам ему власть даже над дикими зверями».

15 T hen said the prophet Jeremiah unto Hananiah the prophet, Hear now, Hananiah: Jehovah hath not sent thee; but thou makest this people to trust in a lie.

И пророк Иеремия сказал пророку Ханании: – Послушай, Ханания! Господь не посылал тебя. Ты заставил этот народ поверить лжи.

16 T herefore thus saith Jehovah, Behold, I will send thee away from off the face of the earth: this year thou shalt die, because thou hast spoken rebellion against Jehovah.

«За это так говорит Господь: – Я сотру тебя с лица земли. В этом году ты умрешь за то, что призывал к отступничеству от Господа».

17 S o Hananiah the prophet died the same year in the seventh month.

И в седьмом месяце того же года пророк Ханания умер.
