1 A nd I, brethren, when I came unto you, came not with excellency of speech or of wisdom, proclaiming to you the testimony of God.

Братья, когда я пришел к вам, чтобы возвещать о тайне Божьей, то мои слова не отличались ни красноречием, ни особой мудростью.

2 F or I determined not to know anything among you, save Jesus Christ, and him crucified.

Находясь среди вас, я решил не знать ничего, кроме Иисуса Христа, и притом распятого.

3 A nd I was with you in weakness, and in fear, and in much trembling.

Я пришел к вам слабым, полным страха и трепета.

4 A nd my speech and my preaching were not in persuasive words of wisdom, but in demonstration of the Spirit and of power:

И моя весть и моя проповедь были не в убедительных словах человеческой мудрости, но в проявлении силы Духа,

5 t hat your faith should not stand in the wisdom of men, but in the power of God.

чтобы ваша вера основывалась не на мудрости человеческой, а на силе Божьей. Мудрость от Духа

6 W e speak wisdom, however, among them that are fullgrown: yet a wisdom not of this world, nor of the rulers of this world, who are coming to nought:

Мудрость же мы возвещаем среди людей духовно зрелых, но это не мудрость этого мира и не мудрость преходящих властителей этого мира.

7 b ut we speak God's wisdom in a mystery, even the wisdom that hath been hidden, which God foreordained before the worlds unto our glory:

Нет, мы говорим о тайной мудрости Божьей, которая до сих пор была скрыта, но еще до сотворения мира предназначена Им для нашей славы.

8 w hich none of the rulers of this world hath known: for had they known it, they would not have crucified the Lord of glory:

Те, кому принадлежит власть в этом мире, не поняли ее, иначе они не распяли бы Господа славы.

9 b ut as it is written, Things which eye saw not, and ear heard not, And which entered not into the heart of man, Whatsoever things God prepared for them that love him.

Но как написано: «Не видел глаз, не слышало ухо, и не приходило на сердце человеку то, что Бог приготовил любящим Его».

10 B ut unto us God revealed them through the Spirit: for the Spirit searcheth all things, yea, the deep things of God.

Нам же Бог открыл это Духом Своим, потому что Духу известно все. Он проникает во все глубины премудрости Божьей.

11 F or who among men knoweth the things of a man, save the spirit of the man, which is in him? even so the things of God none knoweth, save the Spirit of God.

Кто может знать мысли человека, кроме его собственного духа, живущего в нем? Так же и замыслов Бога никто не знает, кроме Духа Божьего.

12 B ut we received, not the spirit of the world, but the spirit which is from God; that we might know the things that were freely given to us of God.

Мы же получили не дух этого мира, а Духа от Бога, чтобы нам понять все дарованное нам Богом.

13 W hich things also we speak, not in words which man's wisdom teacheth, but which the Spirit teacheth; combining spiritual things with spiritual words.

Об этом мы возвещаем не словами человеческой мудрости, но словами, которым нас научил Дух. Мы объясняем духовные истины словами, которым нас учит Дух.

14 N ow the natural man receiveth not the things of the Spirit of God: for they are foolishness unto him; and he cannot know them, because they are spiritually judged.

Недуховный человек не принимает того, что приходит от Духа Божьего. Он считает это глупостью и не может понять, потому что об этом можно судить только духовно.

15 B ut he that is spiritual judgeth all things, and he himself is judged of no man.

Духовный же человек может судить обо всем, тогда как о нем никакой человек судить не может,

16 F or who hath known the mind of the Lord, that he should instruct him? But we have the mind of Christ.

потому что «кто постиг разум Господа, чтобы советовать Ему?» Мы же имеем разум Христов.
