7 S allu, Amok, Hilkiah, Jedaiah. These were the chiefs of the priests and of their brethren in the days of Jeshua.

8 M oreover the Levites: Jeshua, Binnui, Kadmiel, Sherebiah, Judah, and Mattaniah, who was over the thanksgiving, he and his brethren.

9 A lso Bakbukiah and Unno, their brethren, were over against them according to their offices.

Бакбукия и Унний, их собратья, стояли во время служений напротив них.

10 A nd Jeshua begat Joiakim, and Joiakim begat Eliashib, and Eliashib begat Joiada,

Иисус был отцом Иоакима, Иоаким – отцом Элиашива, Элиашив – отцом Иоиады,

11 a nd Joiada begat Jonathan, and Jonathan begat Jaddua.

12 A nd in the days of Joiakim were priests, heads of fathers' houses: of Seraiah, Meraiah; of Jeremiah, Hananiah;

Во дни Иоакима главами священнических семейств были: из семьи Сераи – Мерая; из семьи Иеремии – Ханания;

13 o f Ezra, Meshullam; of Amariah, Jehohanan;

из семьи Ездры – Мешуллам; из семьи Амарии – Иоханан;

14 o f Malluchi, Jonathan; of Shebaniah, Joseph;

из семьи Мелиху – Ионафан; из семьи Шекании – Иосиф;

15 o f Harim, Adna; of Meraioth, Helkai;

22 A s for the Levites, in the days of Eliashib, Joiada, and Johanan, and Jaddua, there were recorded the heads of fathers' houses; also the priests, in the reign of Darius the Persian.

Главы семейств левитов были переписаны в дни Элиашива, Иоиады, Иоханана и Иаддуя, а священники – во время царствования Дария Персидского.

23 T he sons of Levi, heads of fathers' houses, were written in the book of the chronicles, even until the days of Johanan the son of Eliashib.

Главы семейств из потомков Левия были записаны в летописи до времени Иоханана, внука Элиашива.

24 A nd the chiefs of the Levites: Hashabiah, Sherebiah, and Jeshua the son of Kadmiel, with their brethren over against them, to praise and give thanks, according to the commandment of David the man of God, watch next to watch.

А вождями левитов были Хашавия, Шеревия, Иисус, сын Кадмиила, и их собратья, которые стояли напротив них, чтобы воздавать хвалу и благодарения, – один хор напротив другого, как предписано Божьим человеком Давидом.

25 M attaniah, and Bakbukiah, Obadiah, Meshullam, Talmon, Akkub, were porters keeping the watch at the store-houses of the gates.

26 T hese were in the days of Joiakim the son of Jeshua, the son of Jozadak, and in the days of Nehemiah the governor, and of Ezra the priest the scribe.

27 A nd at the dedication of the wall of Jerusalem they sought the Levites out of all their places, to bring them to Jerusalem, to keep the dedication with gladness, both with thanksgivings, and with singing, with cymbals, psalteries, and with harps.

28 A nd the sons of the singers gathered themselves together, both out of the plain round about Jerusalem, and from the villages of the Netophathites;

29 a lso from Beth-gilgal, and out of the fields of Geba and Azmaveth: for the singers had builded them villages round about Jerusalem.

30 A nd the priests and the Levites purified themselves; and they purified the people, and the gates, and the wall.

31 T hen I brought up the princes of Judah upon the wall, and appointed two great companies that gave thanks and went in procession; whereof one went on the right hand upon the wall toward the dung gate:

32 a nd after them went Hoshaiah, and half of the princes of Judah,

34 J udah, and Benjamin, and Shemaiah, and Jeremiah,

35 a nd certain of the priests' sons with trumpets: Zechariah the son of Jonathan, the son of Shemaiah, the son of Mattaniah, the son of Micaiah, the son of Zaccur, the son of Asaph;

и еще несколько молодых священников с трубами: Захария, сын Ионафана, сына Шемаи, сына Матфании, сына Михея, сына Заккура, сына Асафа,

36 a nd his brethren, Shemaiah, and Azarel, Milalai, Gilalai, Maai, Nethanel, and Judah, Hanani, with the musical instruments of David the man of God; and Ezra the scribe was before them.

и его собратья – Шемая, Азариил, Милалай, Гилалай, Маай, Нафанаил, Иуда и Хананий – с музыкальными инструментами, которые были определены Давидом, человеком Бога. Возглавлял шествие книжник Ездра.

37 A nd by the fountain gate, and straight before them, they went up by the stairs of the city of David, at the ascent of the wall, above the house of David, even unto the water gate eastward.

У ворот Источника – прямо перед ними – они поднялись по ступеням города Давида на возвышение стены, прошли над домом Давида и далее, до Водных ворот на востоке.

38 A nd the other company of them that gave thanks went to meet them, and I after them, with the half of the people, upon the wall, above the tower of the furnaces, even unto the broad wall,

Второй хор пошел напротив них, я пошел по стене за ними, а со мной половина народа – над Печной башней, к Широкой стене

39 a nd above the gate of Ephraim, and by the old gate, and by the fish gate, and the tower of Hananel, and the tower of Hammeah, even unto the sheep gate: and they stood still in the gate of the guard.

и над воротами Ефрема мимо Старых ворот, Рыбных ворот, башни Хананела и башни Сотни к Овечьим воротам. У ворот Стражи они остановились.

40 S o stood the two companies of them that gave thanks in the house of God, and I, and the half of the rulers with me;

Затем два хора, которые возносили хвалу, заняли свои места в доме Божьем, а с ними и я вместе с половиной приближенных

41 a nd the priests, Eliakim, Maaseiah, Miniamin, Micaiah, Elioenai, Zechariah, and Hananiah, with trumpets;

и священниками – Элиакимом, Маасеей, Миниамином, Михаей, Елиоенаем, Захарией и Хананией с их трубами, –

42 a nd Maaseiah, and Shemaiah, and Eleazar, and Uzzi, and Jehohanan, and Malchijah, and Elam, and Ezer. And the singers sang loud, with Jezrahiah their overseer.

а еще с Маасеей, Шемаей, Элеазаром, Уззием, Иохананом, Малхией, Еламом и Эзером. Хоры пели под руководством Израхии.

43 A nd they offered great sacrifices that day, and rejoiced; for God had made them rejoice with great joy; and the women also and the children rejoiced: so that the joy of Jerusalem was heard even afar off.

В тот день они принесли великие жертвы и радовались, потому что Бог даровал им великую радость. Женщины и дети тоже радовались. Крики радости в Иерусалиме были слышны далеко вокруг. Пожертвования для священников и левитов

44 A nd on that day were men appointed over the chambers for the treasures, for the heave-offerings, for the first-fruits, and for the tithes, to gather into them, according to the fields of the cities, the portions appointed by the law for the priests and Levites: for Judah rejoiced for the priests and for the Levites that waited.

В тот же день были назначены люди, чьей заботе были вверены хранилища для пожертвований, первых плодов и десятин. С полей вокруг городов они должны были собирать в хранилища доли, назначенные Законом для священников и левитов, ведь иудеи были довольны их служением.

45 A nd they kept the charge of their God, and the charge of the purification, and so did the singers and the porters, according to the commandment of David, and of Solomon his son.

Они совершали служение своему Богу и служение очищения, как делали певцы и служащие у ворот – по повелениям Давида и его сына Соломона.

46 F or in the days of David and Asaph of old there was a chief of the singers, and songs of praise and thanksgiving unto God.

Ведь издавна, во дни Давида и Асафа, были распорядители над певцами, которые пели песни хвалы и благодарения Богу.

47 A nd all Israel in the days of Zerubbabel, and in the days of Nehemiah, gave the portions of the singers and the porters, as every day required: and they set apart that which was for the Levites; and the Levites set apart that which was for the sons of Aaron.

И во дни Зоровавеля и Неемии весь Израиль давал ежедневные доли для певцов и служащих у ворот. Еще они отделяли часть для остальных левитов, а левиты отделяли часть для потомков Аарона.
