1 A nd David again gathered together all the chosen men of Israel, thirty thousand.

Давид снова собрал тридцать тысяч людей Израиля, выбранных им.

2 A nd David arose, and went with all the people that were with him, from Baale-judah, to bring up from thence the ark of God, which is called by the Name, even the name of Jehovah of hosts that sitteth above the cherubim.

Вместе со всеми своими людьми он отправился из Баала иудина, чтобы перенести оттуда ковчег Бога, называемый по Имени Господа Сил, Который восседает на херувимах.

3 A nd they set the ark of God upon a new cart, and brought it out of the house of Abinadab that was in the hill: and Uzzah and Ahio, the sons of Abinadab, drove the new cart.

Они поставили Божий ковчег на новую повозку и вывезли его из дома Авинадава, что на холме. Узза и Ахио, сыновья Авинадава, везли новую повозку

4 A nd they brought it out of the house of Abinadab, which was in the hill, with the ark of God: and Ahio went before the ark.

с Божьим ковчегом, и Ахио шел перед ковчегом.

5 A nd David and all the house of Israel played before Jehovah with all manner of instruments made of fir-wood, and with harps, and with psalteries, and with timbrels, and with castanets, and with cymbals.

Давид и весь дом Израиля изо всех сил веселились перед Господом, пели песни и играли на арфах, лирах, бубнах, трещотках и тарелках.

6 A nd when they came to the threshing-floor of Nacon, Uzzah put forth his hand to the ark of God, and took hold of it; for the oxen stumbled.

Когда они дошли до гумна Нахона, Узза протянул руку, чтобы поддержать Божий ковчег, потому что волы споткнулись.

7 A nd the anger of Jehovah was kindled against Uzzah; and God smote him there for his error; and there he died by the ark of God.

Господь воспылал гневом на Уззу, и Бог поразил его там за дерзновение, и он умер там у Божьего ковчега.

8 A nd David was displeased, because Jehovah had broken forth upon Uzzah; and he called that place Perez-uzzah, unto this day.

Давид рассердился из-за того, что Господь прорвался гневом на Уззу, и до сегодняшнего дня то место называется Парец-Узза.

9 A nd David was afraid of Jehovah that day; and he said, How shall the ark of Jehovah come unto me?

В тот день Давид устрашился Господа; он сказал: – Как же можно принести ко мне ковчег Господа?

10 S o David would not remove the ark of Jehovah unto him into the city of David; but David carried it aside into the house of Obed-edom the Gittite.

Он не хотел брать ковчег Господа к себе в Город Давида, но отвез его в дом гатянина Овид-Эдома.

11 A nd the ark of Jehovah remained in the house of Obed-edom the Gittite three months: and Jehovah blessed Obed-edom, and all his house.

Ковчег Господа оставался в доме Овид-Эдома из Гата три месяца, и Господь благословил его и всех его домашних.

12 A nd it was told king David, saying, Jehovah hath blessed the house of Obed-edom, and all that pertaineth unto him, because of the ark of God. And David went and brought up the ark of God from the house of Obed-edom into the city of David with joy.

Царю же Давиду сказали: – Господь благословил домашних Овид-Эдома и все, что у него, из-за ковчега Божьего. Тогда Давид пошел и с радостью перенес Божий ковчег из дома Овид-Эдома в город Давида.

13 A nd it was so, that, when they that bare the ark of Jehovah had gone six paces, he sacrificed an ox and a fatling.

Через каждые шесть шагов, которые делали несущие ковчег Господа, он приносил в жертву быка и упитанного теленка.

14 A nd David danced before Jehovah with all his might; and David was girded with a linen ephod.

Одетый в льняной эфод Давид изо всех сил плясал перед Господом.

15 S o David and all the house of Israel brought up the ark of Jehovah with shouting, and with the sound of the trumpet.

Так он и весь дом Израиля перенесли ковчег Господа с радостными криками под звуки рогов.

16 A nd it was so, as the ark of Jehovah came into the city of David, that Michal the daughter of Saul looked out at the window, and saw king David leaping and dancing before Jehovah; and she despised him in her heart.

Когда ковчег Господа вносили в Город Давида, Михаль, дочь Саула, глядела из окна. Увидев царя Давида, который прыгал и плясал перед Господом, она уничижила его в своем сердце.

17 A nd they brought in the ark of Jehovah, and set it in its place, in the midst of the tent that David had pitched for it; and David offered burnt-offerings and peace-offerings before Jehovah.

А ковчег Господа принесли и поставили на свое место в шатре, который разбил для него Давид. Давид принес Господу жертвы всесожжения и жертвы примирения.

18 A nd when David had made an end of offering the burnt-offering and the peace-offerings, he blessed the people in the name of Jehovah of hosts.

Закончив приносить жертвы всесожжения и жертвы примирения, он благословил народ во Имя Господа Сил.

19 A nd he dealt among all the people, even among the whole multitude of Israel, both to men and women, to every one a cake of bread, and a portion of flesh, and a cake of raisins. So all the people departed every one to his house.

Затем он раздал всему народу, всему множеству израильтян – и мужчинам, и женщинам – по одной лепешке, по куску жареного мяса и по связке изюма. После этого весь народ разошелся по своим домам.

20 T hen David returned to bless his household. And Michal the daughter of Saul came out to meet David, and said, How glorious was the king of Israel to-day, who uncovered himself to-day in the eyes of the handmaids of his servants, as one of the vain fellows shamelessly uncovereth himself!

Когда Давид вернулся домой, чтобы благословить своих домашних, Михаль, дочь Саула, вышла встретить его и сказала: – Как отличился сегодня царь Израиля, обнажившись на глазах у рабынь своих слуг, словно какой-то непристойный человек!

21 A nd David said unto Michal, It was before Jehovah, who chose me above thy father, and above all his house, to appoint me prince over the people of Jehovah, over Israel: therefore will I play before Jehovah.

Давид сказал Михаль: – Это было перед Господом, Который предпочел меня твоему отцу или кому-либо из его дома. Он поставил меня правителем над Израилем, народом Господа. Я и впредь буду веселиться перед Господом.

22 A nd I will be yet more vile than this, and will be base in mine own sight: but of the handmaids of whom thou hast spoken, of them shall I be had in honor.

Я стану еще недостойнее и буду еще ничтожнее в своих собственных глазах. Но те рабыни, о которых ты говорила, будут меня чтить.

23 A nd Michal the daughter of Saul had no child unto the day of her death.

У Михаль, дочери Саула, не было детей до дня ее смерти.
