1 R ejoice in Jehovah, O ye righteous: Praise is comely for the upright.

Радуйтесь, праведные, о Господе! Честным подобает Его хвалить.

2 G ive thanks unto Jehovah with the harp: Sing praises unto him with the psaltery of ten strings.

Под арфу хвалите Господа, играйте Ему на лире десятиструнной!

3 S ing unto him a new song; Play skilfully with a loud noise.

Пойте Ему новую песнь; играйте искусно, от радости восклицая!

4 F or the word of Jehovah is right; And all his work is done in faithfulness.

Ведь слово Господне право и все дела Его верны.

5 H e loveth righteousness and justice: The earth is full of the lovingkindness of Jehovah.

Господь любит праведность и справедливость. Милости Господней полна земля.

6 B y the word of Jehovah were the heavens made, And all the host of them by the breath of his mouth.

Словом Господним сотворены небеса, повелением из уст Его – звездное воинство.

7 H e gathereth the waters of the sea together as a heap: He layeth up the deeps in store-houses.

Он воды морей собрал, как в сосуд; положил пучины в хранилища.

8 L et all the earth fear Jehovah: Let all the inhabitants of the world stand in awe of him.

Пусть боится Господа вся земля; пусть трепещут пред Ним все жители мира,

9 F or he spake, and it was done; He commanded, and it stood fast.

потому что Он сказал – и стало, Он повелел – и явилось.

10 J ehovah bringeth the counsel of the nations to nought; He maketh the thoughts of the peoples to be of no effect.

Господь разрушает советы людей и уничтожает замыслы народов.

11 T he counsel of Jehovah standeth fast for ever, The thoughts of his heart to all generations.

Но Господень совет пребудет вовек, замыслы сердца Его – из поколения в поколение.

12 B lessed is the nation whose God is Jehovah, The people whom he hath chosen for his own inheritance.

Блажен народ, для кого Бог – Господь, народ, который избрал Он Себе в наследие.

13 J ehovah looketh from heaven; He beholdeth all the sons of men;

Господь взирает с небес и видит весь род человеческий.

14 F rom the place of his habitation he looketh forth Upon all the inhabitants of the earth,

Он смотрит со Своего престола на всех, кто живет на земле –

15 H e that fashioneth the hearts of them all, That considereth all their works.

Он, Кто создал все их сердца и вникает во все, что они творят.

16 T here is no king saved by the multitude of a host: A mighty man is not delivered by great strength.

Не спасет царя огромное войско; не спасет воина великая сила.

17 A horse is a vain thing for safety; Neither doth he deliver any by his great power.

Ненадежен конь для спасения: не спасет он своею мощью.

18 B ehold, the eye of Jehovah is upon them that fear him, Upon them that hope in his lovingkindness;

Но глаза Господни обращены на тех, кто Его боится, кто надеется на Его милость,

19 T o deliver their soul from death, And to keep them alive in famine.

чтобы от смерти их спасти и прокормить во время голода.

20 O ur soul hath waited for Jehovah: He is our help and our shield.

Уповает на Господа наша душа, Он нам помощь и щит.

21 F or our heart shall rejoice in him, Because we have trusted in his holy name.

В нем ликуют наши сердца, ведь мы уповаем на святое Имя Его.

22 L et thy loving kindness, O Jehovah, be upon us, According as we have hoped in thee.

Да будет милость Твоя с нами, Господи, ведь мы на Тебя надеемся.
