1 R ejoice in Jehovah, O ye righteous: Praise is comely for the upright.

Canten de júbilo en el Señor, ustedes los justos; Apropiada es para los rectos la alabanza.

2 G ive thanks unto Jehovah with the harp: Sing praises unto him with the psaltery of ten strings.

Den gracias al Señor con la lira; Canténle alabanzas con el arpa de diez cuerdas.

3 S ing unto him a new song; Play skilfully with a loud noise.

Cántenle cántico nuevo; Tañan con arte, con voz de júbilo.

4 F or the word of Jehovah is right; And all his work is done in faithfulness.

Porque la palabra del Señor es recta, Y toda su obra es hecha con fidelidad.

5 H e loveth righteousness and justice: The earth is full of the lovingkindness of Jehovah.

El ama la justicia y el derecho; Llena está la tierra de la misericordia del Señor.

6 B y the word of Jehovah were the heavens made, And all the host of them by the breath of his mouth.

Por la palabra del Señor fueron hechos los cielos, Y todo su ejército por el aliento de Su boca.

7 H e gathereth the waters of the sea together as a heap: He layeth up the deeps in store-houses.

El junta las aguas del mar como un montón; Pone en almacenes los abismos.

8 L et all the earth fear Jehovah: Let all the inhabitants of the world stand in awe of him.

Tema al Señor toda la tierra; Tiemblen en Su presencia todos los habitantes del mundo.

9 F or he spake, and it was done; He commanded, and it stood fast.

Porque El habló, y fue hecho; El mandó, y todo se confirmó.

10 J ehovah bringeth the counsel of the nations to nought; He maketh the thoughts of the peoples to be of no effect.

El Señor hace nulo el consejo de las naciones; Frustra los designios de los pueblos.

11 T he counsel of Jehovah standeth fast for ever, The thoughts of his heart to all generations.

El consejo del Señor permanece para siempre, Los designios de Su corazón de generación en generación.

12 B lessed is the nation whose God is Jehovah, The people whom he hath chosen for his own inheritance.

Bienaventurada la nación cuyo Dios es el Señor, El pueblo que El ha escogido como Su herencia.

13 J ehovah looketh from heaven; He beholdeth all the sons of men;

El Señor mira desde los cielos; El ve a todos los hijos de los hombres.

14 F rom the place of his habitation he looketh forth Upon all the inhabitants of the earth,

Desde el lugar de su morada El observa A todos los habitantes de la tierra;

15 H e that fashioneth the hearts of them all, That considereth all their works.

El es el que modela el corazón de cada uno de ellos; El es el que entiende todas las obras de ellos.

16 T here is no king saved by the multitude of a host: A mighty man is not delivered by great strength.

El rey no se salva por gran ejército; Ni es librado el valiente por la mucha fuerza.

17 A horse is a vain thing for safety; Neither doth he deliver any by his great power.

Falsa esperanza de victoria (salvación) es el caballo, Ni con su mucha fuerza puede librar.

18 B ehold, the eye of Jehovah is upon them that fear him, Upon them that hope in his lovingkindness;

Los ojos del Señor están sobre los que Le temen, Sobre los que esperan en Su misericordia,

19 T o deliver their soul from death, And to keep them alive in famine.

Para librar su alma de la muerte, Y conservarlos con vida en tiempos de hambre.

20 O ur soul hath waited for Jehovah: He is our help and our shield.

Nuestra alma espera al Señor; El es nuestra ayuda y nuestro escudo;

21 F or our heart shall rejoice in him, Because we have trusted in his holy name.

Pues en El se regocija nuestro corazón, Porque en Su santo nombre hemos confiado.

22 L et thy loving kindness, O Jehovah, be upon us, According as we have hoped in thee.

Sea sobre nosotros Tu misericordia, oh Señor, Según hemos esperado en Ti.
