1 T hus saith Jehovah: For three transgressions of Moab, yea, for four, I will not turn away the punishment thereof; because he burned the bones of the king of Edom into lime:

Así dice el Señor: “Por tres transgresiones de Moab, y por cuatro, No revocaré su castigo, Porque quemó los huesos del rey de Edom hasta calcinarlos.

2 b ut I will send a fire upon Moab, and it shall devour the palaces of Kerioth; and Moab shall die with tumult, with shouting, and with the sound of the trumpet;

Enviaré, pues, fuego sobre Moab, Que consumirá los palacios (las fortalezas) de Queriot, Y Moab morirá entre el tumulto, Entre gritos de guerra y sonido de trompeta.

3 a nd I will cut off the judge from the midst thereof, and will slay all the princes thereof with him, saith Jehovah.

También exterminaré al juez de en medio de ella, Y mataré a todos sus príncipes con él,” dice el Señor. Juicio contra Judá e Israel

4 T hus saith Jehovah: For three transgressions of Judah, yea, for four, I will not turn away the punishment thereof; because they have rejected the law of Jehovah, and have not kept his statutes, and their lies have caused them to err, after which their fathers did walk:

Así dice el Señor: “Por tres transgresiones de Judá, y por cuatro, No revocaré su castigo, Porque desecharon la ley del Señor Y no guardaron Sus estatutos; También les han hecho errar sus mentiras, Tras las cuales anduvieron sus padres.

5 b ut I will send a fire upon Judah, and it shall devour the palaces of Jerusalem.

Enviaré, pues, fuego sobre Judá, Y consumirá los palacios de Jerusalén.”

6 T hus saith Jehovah: For three transgressions of Israel, yea, for four, I will not turn away the punishment thereof; because they have sold the righteous for silver, and the needy for a pair of shoes-

Así dice el Señor: “Por tres transgresiones de Israel, y por cuatro, No revocaré su castigo, Porque venden al justo por dinero Y al necesitado por un par de sandalias.

7 t hey that pant after the dust of the earth on the head of the poor, and turn aside the way of the meek: and a man and his father go unto the same maiden, to profane my holy name:

Los que pisotean en el polvo de la tierra la cabeza de los desvalidos, También tuercen el camino de los humildes. Un hombre y su padre se llegan a la misma joven Profanando Mi santo nombre.

8 a nd they lay themselves down beside every altar upon clothes taken in pledge; and in the house of their God they drink the wine of such as have been fined.

Sobre ropas empeñadas se tienden junto a cualquier altar, Y el vino de los que han sido multados lo beben en la casa de su Dios.

9 Y et destroyed I the Amorite before them, whose height was like the height of the cedars, and he was strong as the oaks; yet I destroyed his fruit from above, and his roots from beneath.

Yo mismo destruí a los Amorreos delante de ellos, Cuya altura era como la altura de los cedros, Y era fuerte como las encinas; Destruí su fruto arriba y su raíz abajo.

10 A lso I brought you up out of the land of Egypt, and led you forty years in the wilderness, to possess the land of the Amorite.

Y a ustedes Yo los hice subir de la tierra de Egipto, Y los conduje por el desierto cuarenta años Para que tomaran posesión de la tierra del Amorreo.

11 A nd I raised up of your sons for prophets, and of your young men for Nazirites. Is it not even thus, O ye children of Israel? saith Jehovah.

Y levanté profetas de entre sus hijos Y Nazareos de entre sus jóvenes. ¿No es así, Israelitas?” declara el Señor.

12 B ut ye gave the Nazirites wine to drink, and commanded the prophets, saying, Prophesy not.

“Pero ustedes hicieron beber vino a los Nazareos, Y a los profetas les ordenaron: ‘No profeticen.’

13 B ehold, I will press you in your place, as a cart presseth that is full of sheaves.

Así que yo estoy oprimido debajo de ustedes Como está oprimida una carreta llena de gavillas.

14 A nd flight shall perish from the swift; and the strong shall not strengthen his force; neither shall the mighty deliver himself;

La huida le fallará al ligero, Y el fuerte no fortalecerá su poder, Ni el valiente salvará su vida.

15 n either shall he stand that handleth the bow; and he that is swift of foot shall not deliver himself; neither shall he that rideth the horse deliver himself;

El que empuña el arco no resistirá, El ligero de pies no escapará, Ni el que monta a caballo salvará su vida.

16 a nd he that is courageous among the mighty shall flee away naked in that day, saith Jehovah.

Aun el más intrépido entre los valientes huirá desnudo aquel día,” declara el Señor.
