1 N ow we that are strong ought to bear the infirmities of the weak, and not to please ourselves.

Así que, nosotros los que somos fuertes, debemos sobrellevar las flaquezas de los débiles y no agradarnos a nosotros mismos.

2 L et each one of us please his neighbor for that which is good, unto edifying.

Cada uno de nosotros agrade a su prójimo en lo que es bueno para su edificación.

3 F or Christ also pleased not himself; but, as it is written, The reproaches of them that reproached thee fell upon me.

Pues ni aun Cristo se agradó a El mismo; antes bien, como está escrito: “ Los insultos de los que te injuriaban cayeron sobre Mi.”

4 F or whatsoever things were written aforetime were written for our learning, that through patience and through comfort of the scriptures we might have hope.

Porque todo lo que fue escrito en tiempos pasados, para nuestra enseñanza se escribió, a fin de que por medio de la paciencia (perseverancia) y del consuelo de las Escrituras tengamos esperanza.

5 N ow the God of patience and of comfort grant you to be of the same mind one with another according to Christ Jesus:

Y que el Dios de la paciencia (perseverancia) y del consuelo les conceda tener el mismo sentir los unos para con los otros conforme a Cristo Jesús,

6 t hat with one accord ye may with one mouth glorify the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ.

para que unánimes, a una voz, glorifiquen al Dios y Padre de nuestro Señor Jesucristo (el Mesías). El Evangelio a los Gentiles

7 W herefore receive ye one another, even as Christ also received you, to the glory of God.

Por tanto, acéptense los unos a los otros, como también Cristo nos aceptó para la gloria de Dios.

8 F or I say that Christ hath been made a minister of the circumcision for the truth of God, that he might confirm the promises given unto the fathers,

Pues les digo que Cristo se hizo servidor de la circuncisión para demostrar la verdad de Dios, para confirmar las promesas dadas a los padres,

9 a nd that the Gentiles might glorify God for his mercy; as it is written, Therefore will I give praise unto thee among the Gentiles, And sing unto thy name.

y para que los Gentiles glorifiquen a Dios por Su misericordia, como está escrito: “ Por tanto, Te confesare entre los Gentiles, y a Tu nombre cantare.”

10 A nd again he saith, Rejoice, ye Gentiles, with his people.

Y vuelve a decir: “ Regocijense, Gentiles, con Su pueblo.”

11 A nd again, Praise the Lord, all ye Gentiles; And let all the peoples praise him.

Y de nuevo: “ Alaben al Señor todos los Gentiles, y todos los pueblos Lo alaben.”

12 A nd again, Isaiah saith, There shall be the root of Jesse, And he that ariseth to rule over the Gentiles; On him shall the Gentiles hope.

Y a su vez, Isaías dice: “ Retoñara la raiz de Isai, el que se levanta a regir a los Gentiles; Los gentiles pondran en El su esperanza.”

13 N ow the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace in believing, that ye may abound in hope, in the power of the Holy Spirit.

Y el Dios de la esperanza los llene de todo gozo y paz en el creer, para que abunden en esperanza por el poder del Espíritu Santo.

14 A nd I myself also am persuaded of you, my brethren, that ye yourselves are full of goodness, filled with all knowledge, able also to admonish one another.

En cuanto a ustedes, hermanos míos, yo mismo estoy también convencido de que ustedes están llenos de bondad, llenos de todo conocimiento y capaces también de amonestarse los unos a los otros.

15 B ut I write the more boldly unto you in some measure, as putting you again in remembrance, because of the grace that was given me of God,

Pero les he escrito con atrevimiento sobre algunas cosas, para así hacer que las recuerden otra vez, por la gracia que me fue dada por Dios,

16 t hat I should be a minister of Christ Jesus unto the Gentiles, ministering the gospel of God, that the offering up of the Gentiles might be made acceptable, being sanctified by the Holy Spirit.

para ser ministro de Cristo Jesús a los Gentiles, ministrando a manera de sacerdote el evangelio de Dios, a fin de que la ofrenda que hago de los Gentiles sea aceptable, santificada por el Espíritu Santo.

17 I have therefore my glorifying in Christ Jesus in things pertaining to God.

Por tanto, en Cristo Jesús he hallado razón para gloriarme en las cosas que se refieren a Dios.

18 F or I will not dare to speak of any things save those which Christ wrought through me, for the obedience of the Gentiles, by word and deed,

Porque no me atreveré a hablar de nada sino de lo que Cristo ha hecho por medio de mí para la obediencia de los Gentiles, en palabra y en obra,

19 i n the power of signs and wonders, in the power of the Holy Spirit; so that from Jerusalem, and round about even unto Illyricum, I have fully preached the gospel of Christ;

con el poder de señales (milagros) y prodigios, en el poder del Espíritu de Dios, De manera que desde Jerusalén (Ciudad de Paz) y por los alrededores hasta el Ilírico he predicado en toda su plenitud el evangelio de Cristo.

20 y ea, making it my aim so to preach the gospel, not where Christ was already named, that I might not build upon another man's foundation;

De esta manera me esforcé en anunciar el evangelio, no donde Cristo ya era conocido, para no edificar sobre el fundamento de otro;

21 b ut, as it is written, They shall see, to whom no tidings of him came, And they who have not heard shall understand.

sino como está escrito: “ Aquellos a quienes nunca les fue anunciado acerca de El, veran, y los que no han oido, entenderan.” Anhelo de Pablo de Visitar Roma

22 W herefore also I was hindered these many times from coming to you:

Por esta razón muchas veces me he visto impedido de ir a ustedes.

23 b ut now, having no more any place in these regions, and having these many years a longing to come unto you,

Pero ahora, no quedando ya más lugares para mí en estas regiones, y puesto que por muchos años he tenido un gran deseo de ir a ustedes,

24 w hensoever I go unto Spain (for I hope to see you in my journey, and to be brought on my way thitherward by you, if first in some measure I shall have been satisfied with your company)--

cuando vaya a España los visitaré. Porque espero verlos al pasar y que me ayuden a continuar hacia allá, después de que haya disfrutado un poco de su compañía.

25 b ut now, I say, I go unto Jerusalem, ministering unto the saints.

Pero ahora voy a Jerusalén para el servicio de los santos,

26 F or it hath been the good pleasure of Macedonia and Achaia to make a certain contribution for the poor among the saints that are at Jerusalem.

pues Macedonia y Acaya han tenido a bien hacer una colecta para los pobres de entre los santos que están en Jerusalén.

27 Y ea, it hath been their good pleasure; and their debtors they are. For if the Gentiles have been made partakers of their spiritual things, they owe it to them also to minister unto them in carnal things.

Sí, tuvieron a bien hacerlo, y a la verdad que están en deuda con ellos. Porque si los Gentiles han participado de sus bienes espirituales, también están obligados a servir a los santos en los bienes materiales.

28 W hen therefore I have accomplished this, and have sealed to them this fruit, I will go on by you unto Spain.

Así que cuando haya cumplido esto y les haya entregado esta ofrenda, iré a España llegando de paso a ver los.

29 A nd I know that, when I come unto you, I shall come in the fulness of the blessing of Christ.

Y sé que cuando vaya a ustedes, iré en la plenitud de la bendición de Cristo.

30 N ow I beseech you, brethren, by our Lord Jesus Christ, and by the love of the Spirit, that ye strive together with me in your prayers to God for me;

Les ruego, hermanos, por nuestro Señor Jesucristo y por el amor del Espíritu, que se esfuercen juntamente conmigo en sus oraciones a Dios por mí,

31 t hat I may be delivered from them that are disobedient in Judaea, and that my ministration which I have for Jerusalem may be acceptable to the saints;

para que sea librado de los que son desobedientes (incrédulos) en Judea, y que mi servicio a Jerusalén sea aceptable a los santos,

32 t hat I may come unto you in joy through the will of God, and together with you find rest.

y para que con gozo llegue a ustedes por la voluntad de Dios, y encuentre confortante reposo con ustedes.

33 N ow the God of peace be with you all. Amen.

El Dios de paz sea con todos ustedes. Amén.
