1 N ow we that are strong ought to bear the infirmities of the weak, and not to please ourselves.

¶ Así que, los que somos más firmes, debemos sobrellevar las flaquezas de los flacos, y no agradarnos a nosotros mismos.

2 L et each one of us please his neighbor for that which is good, unto edifying.

Cada uno de nosotros agrade a su prójimo en bien, para edificación.

3 F or Christ also pleased not himself; but, as it is written, The reproaches of them that reproached thee fell upon me.

Porque el Cristo no se agradó a sí mismo; antes bien, como está escrito: Los vituperios de los que te vituperan, cayeron sobre mí.

4 F or whatsoever things were written aforetime were written for our learning, that through patience and through comfort of the scriptures we might have hope.

Porque las cosas que antes fueron escritas, para nuestra enseñanza fueron escritas; para que por el padecer con paciencia, y por la consolación de las Escrituras, tengamos esperanza.

5 N ow the God of patience and of comfort grant you to be of the same mind one with another according to Christ Jesus:

¶ Mas el Dios de la paciencia y de la consolación os dé que entre vosotros seáis unánimes según Cristo Jesús;

6 t hat with one accord ye may with one mouth glorify the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ.

para que concordes, a una voz glorifiquéis al Dios y Padre de nuestro Señor Jesucristo.

7 W herefore receive ye one another, even as Christ also received you, to the glory of God.

¶ Por tanto, sobrellevaos los unos a los otros, como también el Cristo nos sobrellevó, para gloria de Dios.

8 F or I say that Christ hath been made a minister of the circumcision for the truth of God, that he might confirm the promises given unto the fathers,

Digo, pues, que Cristo Jesús fue Ministro de la Circuncisión, por la verdad de Dios para confirmar las promesas de los padres,

9 a nd that the Gentiles might glorify God for his mercy; as it is written, Therefore will I give praise unto thee among the Gentiles, And sing unto thy name.

pero que los gentiles glorifiquen a Dios por la misericordia; como está escrito: Por tanto yo te confesaré a ti entre los gentiles, y cantaré a tu Nombre.

10 A nd again he saith, Rejoice, ye Gentiles, with his people.

Y otra vez dice: Alegraos, gentiles, con su pueblo.

11 A nd again, Praise the Lord, all ye Gentiles; And let all the peoples praise him.

Y otra vez: Alabad al Señor todos los gentiles, Y magnificadle, todos los pueblos.

12 A nd again, Isaiah saith, There shall be the root of Jesse, And he that ariseth to rule over the Gentiles; On him shall the Gentiles hope.

Y otra vez, dice Isaías: Estará la raíz de Jessé, y el que se levantará a regir los gentiles; los gentiles esperarán la salvación en él.

13 N ow the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace in believing, that ye may abound in hope, in the power of the Holy Spirit.

¶ Y el Dios de esperanza os llena de todo gozo y paz creyendo; para que abundéis en esperanza por la virtud del Espíritu Santo.

14 A nd I myself also am persuaded of you, my brethren, that ye yourselves are full of goodness, filled with all knowledge, able also to admonish one another.

¶ Pero cierto estoy yo de vosotros, hermanos míos, que aun sin mi exhortación estáis llenos de caridad, llenos de todo conocimiento, de tal manera que podáis amonestaros los unos a los otros.

15 B ut I write the more boldly unto you in some measure, as putting you again in remembrance, because of the grace that was given me of God,

Mas os he escrito, hermanos, en parte osadamente, como amonestándoos por la gracia que de Dios me es dada.

16 t hat I should be a minister of Christ Jesus unto the Gentiles, ministering the gospel of God, that the offering up of the Gentiles might be made acceptable, being sanctified by the Holy Spirit.

Por ser ministro de Jesucristo a los gentiles, ministrando el Evangelio de Dios, para que la ofrenda de los gentiles sea agradable, santificada por el Espíritu Santo.

17 I have therefore my glorifying in Christ Jesus in things pertaining to God.

¶ Así que tengo de qué gloriarme en Cristo, Jesús, para con Dios.

18 F or I will not dare to speak of any things save those which Christ wrought through me, for the obedience of the Gentiles, by word and deed,

Porque no osaría hablar alguna cosa que Cristo no haya hecho por mí, para la obediencia de los gentiles, con la palabra y con las obras,

19 i n the power of signs and wonders, in the power of the Holy Spirit; so that from Jerusalem, and round about even unto Illyricum, I have fully preached the gospel of Christ;

con potencia de milagros y prodigios, en virtud del Espíritu de Dios; de manera que desde Jerusalén, y por los alrededores hasta Ilírico, he llenado todo del Evangelio del Cristo.

20 y ea, making it my aim so to preach the gospel, not where Christ was already named, that I might not build upon another man's foundation;

Y de esta manera me prediqué este Evangelio, no donde antes Cristo fuera nombrado, por no edificar sobre fundamento ajeno;

21 b ut, as it is written, They shall see, to whom no tidings of him came, And they who have not heard shall understand.

sino, como está escrito: A los que no fue anunciado de él, verán; y los que no oyeron, entenderán.

22 W herefore also I was hindered these many times from coming to you:

¶ Por lo cual aun he sido impedido muchas veces de venir a vosotros.

23 b ut now, having no more any place in these regions, and having these many years a longing to come unto you,

Mas ahora teniendo más lugar en estas regiones, y deseando ir a vosotros hace muchos años,

24 w hensoever I go unto Spain (for I hope to see you in my journey, and to be brought on my way thitherward by you, if first in some measure I shall have been satisfied with your company)--

cuando partiere para España, iré a vosotros; porque espero que pasando os veré, y que seré llevado de vosotros allá, si empero antes hubiere gozado de vosotros.

25 b ut now, I say, I go unto Jerusalem, ministering unto the saints.

Mas ahora parto para Jerusalén a ministrar a los santos.

26 F or it hath been the good pleasure of Macedonia and Achaia to make a certain contribution for the poor among the saints that are at Jerusalem.

Porque los de Macedonia y Acaya tuvieron por bien hacer una colecta para los pobres de los santos que están en Jerusalén.

27 Y ea, it hath been their good pleasure; and their debtors they are. For if the Gentiles have been made partakers of their spiritual things, they owe it to them also to minister unto them in carnal things.

Porque les pareció bueno, y son deudores a ellos; porque si los gentiles han sido hechos participantes de sus bienes espirituales, deben también ellos servirles en los carnales.

28 W hen therefore I have accomplished this, and have sealed to them this fruit, I will go on by you unto Spain.

Así que, cuando hubiere concluido esto, y les hubiere consignado este fruto, pasaré a vosotros a España.

29 A nd I know that, when I come unto you, I shall come in the fulness of the blessing of Christ.

Porque sé que cuando llegue a vosotros, llegaré en la plenitud de la bendición del Cristo.

30 N ow I beseech you, brethren, by our Lord Jesus Christ, and by the love of the Spirit, that ye strive together with me in your prayers to God for me;

¶ Pero os ruego, hermanos, por nuestro Señor Jesucristo, y por la caridad del Espíritu, que me ayudéis con oraciones por mí a Dios,

31 t hat I may be delivered from them that are disobedient in Judaea, and that my ministration which I have for Jerusalem may be acceptable to the saints;

Que sea librado de los desobedientes que están en Judea, y que la ofrenda de mi servicio a los santos en Jerusalén sea acepta;

32 t hat I may come unto you in joy through the will of God, and together with you find rest.

para que con gozo llegue a vosotros por la voluntad de Dios, y que sea recreado juntamente con vosotros.

33 N ow the God of peace be with you all. Amen.

Y el Dios de paz sea con todos vosotros. Amén.
